The demo gives the first dungeon and the magician outfit. Now that I've seen what the standard outfit does, the special bonus from buying the retail or a download version is merely a change of appearance compared to the standard outfit (although it makes the trap bonus outfit better since that's not unlocked from the outset).

As for the gameplay, anyone who has played Mind Hacker should be familiar with the mechanics. Since this is a true rogue-like RPG, the instant the player loses there is no way to salvage any equipment in inventory. Gold is used to upgrade the various functions such as better items in stock, more storage space in the mansion etc.

Apart from the mandatory loss scene 3 floors down from the first dungeon, I didn't see any other H-scenes in the first dungeon although the wizard does provide temporary dungeon buffs with payment that involve sex in one form or another.

I foresee quite a bit of grinding in order to lose to the different creatures in the bestiary once the full version is released.

If save files from the demo carry over to the full version, patient players can essentially start with maxed out storage space, spell buff selection, XP storage crystal and full array of saleable items at the shop.

Official page now has a link to the Dlsite demo. I don't think they've changed anything since yesterday despite a few new pictures.

Game will be released this Friday, so a quick-start guide because I feel like doing one.

Not that anyone is going to care, but the following info is for reference for those who do intend to play this game but 1. Can't read a single word of Japanese and/or 2. Don't have a clue what to do since the machine translator they use throws up garbage.

Game objective: Explore each dungeon to its deepest level, retrieve the crystal you've been tasked to collect and make it back to the mansion alive. This is a rogue-like RPG, so each dungeon crawl starts players off at level 1 (can be mitigated with pre-exploration buffs) and players lose all items if they're defeated in the dungeon (again can be mitigated with special pre-exploration buffs)

Mansion main menu choices
1. Cellar (item storage)
2. Fis' workshop (pre-exploration buff)
3. Claris' lab (level-up buff)
4. Airi's room (change outfits)
5. Liz's room (buy/sell items)
6. Move to dungeon (explore)
7. System

Cellar menu choices
1. Confirm inventory (move items to and from inventory to storage)
2. Improve cellar (pay money and increase cellar storage capacity. Maximum 10 times according to demo)
3. Leave

Workshop choices
1. Bestow buff to Airi (Pay money for specific pre-exploration buff. H-scene depends on outfit worn at the time)
2. Improve Fis' spellpower (Invest money to increase the repertoire of buffs available. Max 10 times)
3. Leave

List of buffs from Fis
1. 気力充填 (Fortify vitality) = Vitality consumption rate reduced. Explore for longer before cupcakes are needed.
2. 修練者の心得 (Acolyte's understanding) = Increase XP earned from each defeated enemy
3. 剣の加護 (Protection of the sword) = Attack boost
4. 盾の加護 (Protection of the shield) = Defence boost
5. 魔物避け (Repel monsters) = Dungeons will not spawn monster houses.
6. 魔物寄せ (Attract monsters) = Monster house spawn chance doubled
7. 冒険者の誓い (Adventurer's oath) = Items will not be lost if player is defeated in dungeon
8. 富の約束 (Prosperity's bargain) = Gold acquired in dungeon not lost if player is defeated.
9. 戦果の確約 (Affirmation of glory) = Next dungeon expedition will carry over level attained in the last expedition. However the EXP earned when this buff is active will not be stored in the memory crystal.
10. 深淵の抱擁 (Embrace of the abyss) = Cursed equipment can be swapped out at any time.
11. 奈落の抱擁 (Embrace of Naraka) = Cursed items will always function properly when used. (e.g. magic staves)
12. 地獄耳 (Infernal hearing) = Enemy locations are always visible on mini-map.
13. 千里眼 (Farseer) = Item locations are always visible on mini-map.
14. 罠師の勘 (Trapper's sixth sense) = All traps on level are visible on mini-map and on screen. Traps will not activate when the player moves onto their placement square.
15. 剣士の祝福 (Warrior's blessing) = All attacks are critical attacks when the school uniform (or equivalent) is equipped.
16. 魔道士の祝福 (Magician's blessing) = The effects of Magical Tomes and Magical Staves will be stored when the Magician's outfit (or equivalent) is equipped. (i.e. use the tome of sleep for example and the magic option in the dungeon will be overwritten as if a staff was used)
17. 罠師の祝福 (Trapper's blessing) = Disarming traps no longer uses stamina when the maid outfit (or equivalent) is equipped.
18. 蘇生の誓約 (Pledge of resurrection) = Once per expedition, when the player's HP reaches zero the player will be revived with health and vitality fully restored.
19. 必殺の閃光 (Deadly flash) = All normal attacks deal enough damage to kill each targeted enemy in one hit. (this includes physical-resistant enemies like slimes)
20. 大いなる守護 (Great protective ward) = Some enemy attacks will deal no damage (ability triggered based on chance)

Claris' lab menu choices
1. Level-up Airi (Airi will start at level 2 or more depending on how many points are drawn from the memory crystal)
2. Improve memory crystal (Invest money to improve the capacity and efficiency of the memory crystal. The higher the level, the more EXP is retained from leaving the dungeon plus the maximum EXP stored by the crystal increases)
3. Bestiary (Monsters defeated in dungeon at least once show up here. Good for checking out their special abilities and possible weaknesses)
4. Achievements (Game-based achievements list)
5. Leave

Airi's room menu choices (demo)
1. School uniform (High attack and defence, no special skills)
2. Magician's outfit (High attack but low defence, records the effect of the magic staff last used and "stores" it allowing Airi to reproduce the stave's effect at the cost of 12 stamina. Effect is overwritten each time a different magic staff is used. Effect does not carry over into new dungeon runs)
3. Leave

Liz's room menu choices (appears after player successfully returns from dungeon once)
1. Buy/sell items
2. Improve store selection (Invest money and the range and quantity of items available in the store is improved. Very useful early in the game as item sacks are refreshed each time the store is improved).
3. Leave

Everything else in the game should be intuitive to rogue RPG veterans.

Recommendations for buffs: Farseer, Deadly flash, adventurer's oath for H-scene collection.

Investment priority: Store, Cellar, Workshop (until farseer is unlocked), Laboratory.

EDIT: Well, that was... short as hell. Enemy variety is basically nonexistant, the storyline itself is very short, there's only 3 dungeons and a boss stage. I expected much more for how long this has been in development.

The demo set out its stall on how many crystals there would be so no changes there in that respect.

As for the GUI, the quality is a little higher than Mind Hacker. Everyone playing this is really going for the H-scenes though.

Addendum to the guide I put up earlier on how to play this game.

For the combat H-scenes, they will only trigger if Airi is defeated by a specific monster and wearing a specific outfit. For example, if Airi is wearing her default school uniform and the octopus enemy lands the killing blow, players get the scene featuring the octopus. Each dungeon has 3 enemies with rape-on-loss scenes, 1 corresponding to each class. Now that the CG rip is now out, players who haven't unlocked all the scenes can save time by checking the pictures out (rip does not include scenes featuring the special outfits).

The special outfits available through DLC (Bikini armour, Lunatic Dress and Segama outfit) also have scenes corresponding with the default class outfits they match up with.

For the dungeon buff H-scenes, there is a different scene for each outfit Airi wears when she makes the request. If players ask for Fis' help enough, they'll get to watch the threesome scene.

Other H-scenes correspond with the upgrade level of the respective base functions. Upgrading the cellar to level 5 (?) should trigger the scene with Hilda while upgrading the shop to level 10 should trigger at least two scenes with Liz. The scenes will activate when Airi chooses a dungeon to explore.

The difficulty levels determine how deep the different dungeons go before players find the crystal they have been tasked with. On easy, the first dungeon only has 5 levels compared to the 10 on normal. The variety and strength of monsters is determined by dungeon type and floor level.

Players who are patient can probably wait for a CG rip if they don't want to waste time with trial and error for the combat rape scenes. Otherwise the gallery provides a hint in that the scenes are organised by the order in which the base monsters appear in the bestiary accessible at Claris' laboratory.

I cleared 2 dungeons and still don't have the room option in the menu to chance clothes.

Strange. Normally the magician's outfit is unlocked once the merchant has been unlocked and Airi successfully escapes from a dungeon at least once with loot intact. After that it's a simple matter of progressing through the dungeons and talking to Liz and Claris to get additional DLC outfits.

Remember to get all the GOR before moving onto the last (4th dungeon) because your save file will immediately be converted to a new game+ file.

Not a big deal since the scenes are viewable from the CG and scene replay after being viewed once. Players can always make a backup if they get paranoid.

I cleared the game before viewing any of the GOR from the 3rd dungeon. Had to go through the game once more to get them.

Easy mode is a joke so maximum 2 hours would be enough to get to the third dungeon.

Anyone doing this for the gameplay would need a little longer on a cumulative run starting from easy and working up to Hell.

Patch 1.01 now out on the product website.

Patch notes:
Fix to unexpected event occurring after a specific series of actions are initiated when in Fis' workshop.
Modifications to some of the item descriptions.

Once I finish Nightmare and have had a feel for Hell difficulty, I might supplement the existing guide I put up and talk more about the dungeon mechanics. Since I doubt anyone is still playing this, it's going to be for self-gratification so no one should get their hopes up on a quick update.

Dungeon tips and tricks guide.

This is a list of what each difficulty mode has to offer:

Easy:
All items picked up in dungeon are identified.
There are no harmful items.
XP from defeated enemies is higher than in the other difficulty levels.
The final boss needs to be defeated 5 times to see the ending.
No monster houses.
Dungeon levels: 5,10,15

Normal:
Bracelets and wands picked up in dungeons are unidentified.
Harmful items make an appearance.
Monster houses from the second dungeon onwards.
Final boss needs to be defeated 10 times to see the ending.
Dungeon levels: 10,15,20

Nightmare:
Weapons, shields, bracelets and wands picked up are unidentified.
Final boss needs to be defeated 15 times to see the ending.
Dungeon levels: 15,20,30

Hell:
All items except food and tomes of return are unidentified when picked up.
The hero shield and ring of healing do not spawn in dungeons nor can they be bought from the shop.
Tomes are now subject to curse. For example using a cursed tome of appraisal will identify all unidentified items in inventory but also curse them.
Monster houses will spawn in all dungeons, not just the last two.
Final boss needs to be defeated 15 times to see the ending.
Dungeon levels: 15,20,99(!)

Tips when exploring the dungeon:
1. Explore the floor until the exit has been found and all items on the floor have been picked up.
2. When cash is plentiful, unwanted weapons and shields are projectile weapons which can be hurled against inaccessible enemies or those immune to wand spells (e.g. the dragon disciples in the 3rd dungeon)
3. Get the trap master's ring as soon as possible. It's useful for all classes, the trapper costumes obviously get the most benefit out of it.
4. Try and upgrade Fis' spell repertoire until Farseer (千里眼) is unlocked. This speeds up dungeon crawling considerably (you still have to find the exit manually)
5. Healing rings are great since having one around increases survival massively over long runs.
6. Rings of resurrection are a must when exploring the later 2 dungeons in Hell.
7. Monster houses are doable if the player can escape to a corridor and take on the enemies one by one. The default warrior's outfit relies on wands, character level and equipment to pull through. The magician's outfit should help if a good wand was used previously allowing the spell to be spammed so long as there is vitality to spare. The trapper outfits have it easiest provided players are careful enough to collect either a blinding trap, sleep trap or a confuse trap beforehand. Placing said trap and leading monster house mobs to it should make for an easy kill, however contingency plans need to be in place in case the trap doesn't fire.

Tips for surviving Hell difficulty:
1. Having at least one tome of return is compulsory. That or prepare to grind for equipment all over again because of a careless mistake.
2. Tomes of appraisal are now a compulsory buy from the shop since potions and tomes in dungeons aren't identified. Nothing worse than using that unknown tome and getting killed because it was a tome of suicide.
3. Hoard tomes of blacksmith and tomes of the armourer. The hero sword can be found or bought from the store but without the hero shield its usefulness is questionable compared to the special anti-monster blades.
4. The penultimate Fis spell buff allows Airi to slay all monsters with one blow, but don't get too cocky since the last dungeon in particular has VERY strong creatures with long-range attacks.
5. Drink potions found in the dungeon just before leaving the floor. Even if the potion is one meant to be thrown at enemies, drinking it once allows Airi to figure out which one it is so any subsequent finds will display the proper name. Potions aren't cursed either so no need to worry about that heal potion killing Airi. This can also be applied to scrolls as well but players must be prepared to trigger the suicide scroll and wait for the auto-heal to kick in.
6. Monster houses are ironically the best source for good tomes due to the sheer number of items located in them. Surviving the inhabitants is another matter altogether.
7. Because the hero shield is no longer available, surviving the last dungeon and the sheer number of special attacks requires multiple shields and the special ring which counters status debuffs. Using Fis' penultimate buff is an option when combined with the wind sword, but monsters like the magma slime are still a considerable challenge especially when inside monster houses.
8. If navigating all 99 stages in the 3rd dungeon on Hell difficulty seem daunting, remember that the game always auto-saves whenever the player enters a new floor and when quitting the game. So if it all goes pear-shaped in one of the monster houses, quitting the game before seeing the dungeon report should allow players to restart again from the start of the floor and with the foreknowledge of what's to come.
