Whats wrong with the scorpion?
Nothing. Simply, worm infestation is fairly deviant, particularly in the parts it's making use of. Personally I take no issue. Quite the contrary. However, what I was getting at is how things have escalated throughout the back jungle area, from tamer, but still deviant, things to other things that most would find increasingly gross.
Let's see... We have...
Worms that rape Nona bondage-style and fill her with "nematodes" as Eluku was putting it. Who is then subjected to a large insertion where she, presumably, is used as an incubator for more of those same worms.
Hovering plant things that bind Nona and begin suctioning her breasts, invasively. Possible seed implantation too.
A weird mouth pillar things that lowers if "fed". Specifically by fucking it. Oh, and it has bloody (for whatever reason) anal plugs that will trap Nona against it if she isn't a quick shot.
Sapient plant girls with tentacles for legs that suck(le) whatever parts of Nona they can get their hands on.
An extra-large plant girl that does the same, but with a plant pod on the ground. And her odd boxing-plant-guardian that would be more suited to Anthophobia than Wolf's Dungeon.
A species of flies that use straw-like probosicuses (probosci?) to drain fluids from anything that even sort of is a hole. No that's not how boobs work, but we've gone this far, may as well keep the suspension of disbelief.
If captured by said flies, their Queen implants parasitic eggs in Nona that seem to have toxic/paralytic fluids upon hatching.
A sentient starfish
with a gigantic (for its size)
dildo inside of it that it fucks Nona with. That's just silly.
A walking fleshlight-mouth-thing that sucks Nonas dick
and calls her gay. and teams up with the dildo starfish.
Then a plant specialized in trapping women and suctioning breastmilk that seems to have a symbiotic relationship with a creature that implants worms into their mutual victim's breasts, ass, and uterus, as available.
Then a tree that creates tag-team breast and cock-sucking slimes that then feed the weird gross heart thing inside the tree that then creates what can only be described as a pile of offal with eyes that will apparently parasitize Nona's womb.
While everyone has their own levels of deviancy, for which I won't judge, I don't think it'd be easy to argue against a steadily raising curve of just... Weird/gross stuff as the jungle's progression creeps forward. It may wiggle back and forth as it goes up, but there is a net increase in the end.
With all of this said, perhaps I, personally, am seeing it that way. This most recent enemy is somewhat pushing what I can find at all... Satisfying, for lack of a better term. Visually it's very unappealing. The ones that have been unappealing in the past (the Evil Tree's Worm's cut-ins upon game over, any form of ass-sucking, that weird starfish) have generally been easy to look past. But this particular creature is just inherently unpleasant to look at.
I'll wait and see what he does before passing final judgement, of course. Sometimes Eluku is a big gross with what he does, but he does seem to have some capability of making things palatable even if they contain some things one would be repulsed by.
