Sarcasm aside, thanks for the information.
I'm not being sarcastic, unless copying and pasting what comes out of an online translation counts as the sole qualification towards calling oneself a translator of a game.

If you're going to blithely accept everything I typed earlier, I have even less faith in whatever you release to the masses. But it's not my call and absolutely none of my business. The only thing I'm going to thank you for is the notice regarding the creator's blog update and the release date for the upcoming patch.

Sigh... fair enough i won't bother with it anymore then, since the mc scenes are done anyway and there are people like you around that obviously don't think my work is decent enough for people.... Kinda depressing. Well whatever, you've shown me the error of my ways.

Edit* Having given it some thought over a couple days i've decided to continue the translation work so it's all good. Hope people can enjoy the new content that will be translated at some point in the future :)

Honestly, I'd just ignore Harleyquin. Some people in this forum have a rather large stick where the sun does not shine about accuracy of translations, and considering that Harleyquin has no intention of actually doing the work of a fan translation him/herself, I don't think they've got any right to be criticizing other people who are.

And to anyone disagreeing with me on the above point: These are freaking hentai games, people! They are not great literary works! A well edited machine translation is going to suffice for almost everyone!

EDIT: So, I got this in a rep comment from whom I assume is Harleyquin as it continues on what he's said. I'm adding it here because it seems relevant to the conversation:

Harleyquin13 said:
I'm more concerned with playing games than wasting time translating them, especially since any contribution I made previously to a translation project is stolen without credit.
So, I'd respond as follows: Not everyone is able to read games, and these kinds of fan projects are useful for those. A fan translation isn't for the translator, it's for other fans of the game who otherwise not be able to enjoy it. Further, fan translation projects are a good way of actually learning Japanese, regardless of the method used (be that editing machine translations, JP to English dictionaries, whatever); just because Murazor is currently using machine translations, does not mean that they will be doing so indefinitely. Finally, I'm sorry that the projects you've contributed to did not acknowledge your work, and would like to thank you for anything that you've done in the past. However, I'd ask that just because things didn't work out for you, you don't try to discourage others from contributing to other projects.

I've been following the translation project for Lilitales since the very beginning.

I think it's great that people like you are contributing to the project when people like me tend to just lurk around and enjoy your efforts without showing much gratitude.

Much respect to you Murazor! I appreciate your efforts!

Thanks for rectifying the issue, Habisain.

Just a few points on the translation project, for transparency's sake:
(I apologize in advance for wasting even more thread space)

1. Murazor's my secondary translator. He's here to help me out; to speed up the project's pace. (Originally, just agreed to the Bishop and Low Route scenes).

2. I'm the one who designated him as a translator in the project credits; not him. He is following in suit for consistency.

3. Neither of us speak fluent Japanese. I personally machine translate the bulk of the material with custom diction settings line by line while rewriting the garbage that comes out to be more appropriate for a general English-speaking populace (that is, without assuming any prior knowledge of Japanese anime culture terms on the reader's part, e.g. honorifics).

4. Murazor is not paid or compensated for his work. He's here because I asked him to. He isn't obligated to provide AAA quality services, and is free to leave and/or pursue other projects as he wishes.

Now some personal words:
(Beyond this point, one can consider this rant.)

In an ideal world, we'd have sentient AI bots translating the game instead.

But that reality isn't here yet; we can only make do with what we have. I'm grateful that Murazor has agreed to give me a hand. I don't expect him to stay for the entirety of the project, as there are other projects he has his eye on. To be frank, he really just wanted to see the hypnosis-related scenes translated (for which I had him translate because of his keener senses regarding the theme/genre than me). So doing any other scenes is really him just going the extra mile; I'm personally grateful that he's at least considered helping me beyond that which we agreed upon.

Now on what I think of what it means to be a Translator, to those whom care:

TL;DR: a simple, unassumingly direct definition: someone/something that ferries meaning between two different languages.

To be a Translator, one needs to be able allow somebody/something obtain meaning from a language that they couldn't have understood without help. I tend to stick to the literal when it comes to word etymology; "translate" simply means to transfer meaning. It doesn't matter how much content or quality is lost from translation - as long as either the thesis or the theme is brought across, you've translated something; you're a translator.

Then adjectives like "good", "great", or "bad" come in: a "Good Translator", a "Bad Translator", etc.. I believe that good translators retain as much information and accuracy as possible in their output. Great translators go beyond that to make the information digestible for his/her intended audience - to avoid awkwardness - while retaining accuracy. For those with high standards, "great" translators are the norm. To them, anything else is "bad". I'm under the impression that Harleyquinn13 is among those with particularly high standards. It can be a mixed blessing though, as I've personally found some translations unbearable because I had been used to the works of great translators. I've learned to pity such people - those that can only be fed by a silver spoon (in a self-righteous sort of way, heheh). I can't find it in me to quarrel with those I pity, but these have been my barebone thoughts on what is expected of a translator. Can't say that I've reached my own standards though; need more practice, more fluency. :p

_____________________________________________

Alright, now a few conclusive thoughts:

As Habisain went over, "fan translation" is an appropriate category to place this project. I'm not entitled to call myself a professional; I only try to act as much as I know how to be.

But you can call me whatever you wish; I still call myself a translator, albeit a lazy translator :p. And I call Murazor a translator because he's translating stuff that he loves, regardless of due credit.

Don't listen to the jackass. Your translation was highly fappable.

Arguing about the deeper meaning of Hentai Translation, I love you guys :D. Such rich discussions would never happen for generic porn ;).

Re: Lilitales -リリテイルズ-

So the new update is mainly CG after you clear the main game? That's quite disappointing.
Well, I'll play it nonetheless.

O god... I don't think I'd be willing to replay through this whole game again. 100% save file with all the new scenes would be greatly appreciated :D
