A friendly reminder

[Mamono Assault Force]

Luxxane was riding on her motorcycle with her friend, Sera behind her.

Sera always enjoyed letting Luxxane take her around the city, the wind against her face and the speed they would go at thrilled her.

As they drove away from the city, along Luxxane's favorite route, Luxxane noticed her gas was getting low.

As if luck was on their side, they happened across a gas station. The prices were hefty, but there was no choice at this point.

Luxxane drove right next to a gas pump, and then Sera hopped off.

Luxxane turned to her while still sitting on her bike.

"I'm outta cash, could ya go in and pay for me?"

She says with a wink.

Sera chuckles as she hopped off the bike and headed inside. "Yeah yeah. Whatever." she rolls her eyes and walks inside to pay. "Hello? Anyone in here?" she looks around, looking over the counter, dressed in her usual clothes, but with a bright, padded motorcycle jacket.

She was surprised to find the door unlocked, as she didn't find anyone inside the store.

But that wasn't what caught her attention, what should have been a normal, proper store, now appeared as if a wild animal got loose, the cash register was broken, and on the floor, and various food items were scattered along the ground.

Sera frowns and hops up onto the counter and drops on the other side, figuring a place like this...the owner might have a gun of some sort. "Hello?" she looked under the counter.

Sera searched on the other side of the counter, and found a shotgun on the other side.

There wasn't any indication as to who was the owner, but after inspection, it only had three slug rounds left in it.

Sera knew that something bad happened here, very bad.

She took the shotgun, in hopes that she wouldn't have to use it...

(Sera is holding a shot gun in her hands)

Sera sighs and grabs the shotgun, making sure one's in the chamber, and if not, she pumps it once, before looking around, she walks to the door and yells out to Lux

"It looks like something bad happened!"

"That's great, hun, but there ain't any gas running to the bike! Go back and get it on, would ya?"

Sera sighs and heads into the place, heading for the back, shotgun held at the ready, frowning a bit as she looks around, looking for the pump...

Now where could it be..."

She found the computer that they used to activate the pumps, and started attempting to use it...

(Perception check)

She quickly turned around, hearing noises coming from behind her.

It was like a giant caterpillar, except it was brown in color, and would be about the size of a human if it stood up. It was approaching her.

(Sera has the initiative)

Sera blinks, eyes widening, "Ew!" she jumps back, looking down and fumbling with the gun to get the safety off, admittedly, she was a pretty brave person, but this was...well..a shock to the system!

Sera's shot was good

With one shot, the bug was dead.

Unfortunately, she heard a spring break in the shotgun. It was now useless.

Luxxane soon bursted into the store.

"What the hell happened!?! Are you alright?"

Sera nodded. "Yeah!" she frowned a bit and unloaded it, taking the unused shells out and pocketing them, figuring it'd be better to hang onto them as she worked on getting the pump active. "It's...some big ass bug..."

"How could something like that get so big? No... We need to get out of here."

With the pump running, the two quickly exit the store, pump the bike full of gas, and then drive back to the city.

As they arrive, things weren't the way they used to be. The street lights were off, and there wasn't even a single car on the street.

As Luxxane drove in the middle of the road, this turned out to be a mistake. They hit an open manhole, and they were both sent flying off their bikes.

They weren't going fast, thankfully, so the landing wasn't harsh.

But, as they regained their composure, a quick look around revealed tentacles everywhere around them, coming out of sewer grates, and man holes.

They were surrounded.

Sera groans and sits up, looking around...frowning slowly as she very calmly crawled over to Luxy and shook her gently.

"Luxy....get up...we...got a problem."

Luxxane noticed them as well

"Oh god! What are these things!?! What do we do!?!"

Sera took a deep breath and slowly raises to a knee. "Run. Like. Hell." she begins to dead sprint away from the street, trying to break through and get away from the waving tentacles

Sera seemed to run past them all, when she heard a cry from behind her.

"NO! Help me!!!"

A glance behind Sera revealed how it was so easy to escape, Luxxane was in the clutches of the masses of tentacles, all of her limbs bound.

Sera frowns a bit, looked away, then began searching the sides of the road for a nice sized piece of rebar, or a cop car or anything...she wasn't stupid enough to charge in unarmed... "Hang on!"

Sera begins her search, but due to her eye sight, it's very hard for her to see in the dark.

(Enemy attacks)

The tentacles reveal their true intentions, as Luxxane's clothes were ripped off of her.

"Nooo!"

Sera growls and just runs in, grabbing at the tentacles and trying to yank them off of her friend "Come ON! FIGHT EM LUXY!
