The kobold shakes himself, and then looks back at Miruna; "Aye, don't you worry about me, human. I was just looking for what the commotion was. My kin are nearby, and I shouldn't have any problem gettin to 'em." The kobold says.

(It's cool, just wanted to make sure you knew there was only one person standing there and not two. They're supposed to be confusing, they're immortal.)

Re: A Knights Tale (Feris)

'Nearby...This maybe the chance I've been yearning though they are lesser fey compared to the lords I've watched over there maybe stronger ones among them and if anyone can turn the tide of this scourge from hell it is the highborn.' Miruna thought long and hard about trying to recruit warriors among the Kobolds she needed help to try and take down the demon incursion especially since she had cut her ties with Matthias whom nobody could tell if he was still watching.

"I see then I have a favor to ask of you I am seeking to rid this town of the demon infestation that inhabitants it yet I'm very alone in this struggle could you possibly guide me to your village noble one so I might gather those whom might share my goal?" She addressed the Kobold bowing as if pleading to him to grant her request.

"I wouldn't call it a village, but I can take ye to my kins camp if that be your wish. We too seek to rid our world of the demonic scourge, and have come here to do just that." The kobold replies, stepping down toward her and offering a bow in return.

Miruna nodded to the Kobolds reply now knowing that their struggles were the same it was relieving that she wasn't alone in this war. Though she had problems with Fey in the past Miruna had no troubles in fighting alongside them in fact in probable only enhanced her fury.

"Then lead on noble one I will follow you." Miruna replied with a weary smile extending her hand to gesture the fey to guide her.

The fey only says; "Try to keep quiet, there still might be demons about." And starts down the street, heading toward where Miruna had come from along the road, rather than toward the portal.

Miruna nodded silently following the Kobold keeping her best to keep eyes glued to their surroundings so they she might be aware of any sudden surprises there would be a time for talk but right now getting to aid the fey would have to come first.

Perception: Success.

After walking for a few minutes, Miruna spots movement in a house up ahead. Instinctively, she turns around to see the pair of goblins trying to follow her and her Fey companion. Knowing they've been spotted and their ambush ruined, the two short demons shout for aid and draw their weapons to attack. Three more of the demons rush out of the house, and Mirunas kobold ally draws an axe from his belt to meet the charging enemies. It doesn't seem likely that he could face the three on his own, however.

Re: A Knights Tale (Feris)

Miruna desire to protect her former charges propeled her to stand infront of the Fey Kobold. "Stay back noble one I will dispatch these monsters for I cannot afford to lose thee." She spoke plainly with a hint of seriousness in her tone she had no desire to see the fey hurt or her guide killed before reaching they reached their desired destination.

She stood infront of the Fey hoping her wouldn't move from his spot she would shield him from any attack she could while lashing out at any opening she could find in the demons charge though by the numbers she could only pray that the body would endure.

The kobold grunts in acknowledgment, though Miruna can't possibly protect him from both sides at once. She takes her place in front of him, ready to face the three goblins, and this seems to work in their favor, as the stupid demons are too confused by their movements to get in an attack.

To-hit: 12 + 42 = 54 vs 15 =hit.
Damage: 10 + 10 + 4 - 4 = 20 damage.

Her first slash immediately downs one of the demons, cutting out its throat before it can even raise any kind of defense. She stands back to back with her kobold ally now, surrounded by 4 goblins.

"Please stay close..." Miruna stated to the Fey as she starred down each one of the monster's that were assailing them she started moving in a rather protective motion around the Fey her sword always moving and her eyes as well always watching waiting for the first one to move then to counter the beast with an attack of her own though her first priority was to protect the Kobold.

Goblins
To-hit: 14 + 28 = 42 vs 33 + 8 = 41 == hit.
To-hit: 16 + 28 = 44 vs 33 + 8 = 41 == hit.
To-hit: 17 + 28 = 45 vs 15 + 8 = 23 == hit
To-hit: 11 + 28 = 39 vs 15 + 8 = 23 == hit
Damage: 8 + 2 + 3 + 3 - 4 - 24 = 0 damage. Armor takes 16/5 = 3 damage, 37/40 TP remaining.
Damage: 6 + 3 + 3 + 3 - 6 = 9 damage on the kobold.
Miruna
To-hit: 1 + 42 - 8 = 34 vs 15 = hit.
Damage: 4 + 10 + 4 = 18 - 3 = 15 damage.
Kobold
To-hit: 2 + 24 = 26 vs 15 = hit.
Damage: 6 + 4 - 3 = 7 damage.
(Wow. That sucks.)

Despite Mirunas defenses, each of the goblins attacks slips in, two striking harmlessly against her armor, though they do leave scratches on the chain mail, and two spears stabbing in to injure the kobold. The pair respond, however, and both attack the same goblin, Mirunas sword and the kobolds axe slaying another of the demons.

Re: A Knights Tale (Feris)

Miruna grunted as the goblins poor weaponry did it's toll on her armor but even worse her companion seemed deeply wounded by the combined attack of the horde that was upon them affected by this Miruna tried again to protect the Fey her devotion was souring even thinking of using her own body as a shield if the demons dared come at him again.

(Protect Fey) *Any chance I can shield the fey like the Final Fantasy Protect Companion thingy*

(That's sorta what you were doing, half of your dodge bonus went to him instead of to you. They just rolled high. You can put more of your attack roll into defense if you like, I just guessed.)

Goblins
To-hit: 10 + 28 = 38 vs 33 + 15 = 48 == miss.
To-hit: 14 + 28 = 42 vs 33 + 15 = 48 == miss.
To-hit: 7 + 28 = 35 vs 15 + 15 = 30 == hit
Damage: 5 + 3 - 3 = 5 damage on the kobold.
Miruna
To-hit: 13 + 42 - 15 = 40 vs 15 = hit.
Damage: 10 + 10 + 4 = 24 - 3 = 21 damage.
Kobold
To-hit: 7 + 24 = 31 vs 15 = hit.
Damage: 5 + 4 - 3 = 6 damage.

The kobold takes another hit while Miruna deflects two others meant for her with her blade. She counters with a slash that cuts the throat from one of the goblins. The kobold wounds another of the lesser demons with its axe.

Re: A Knights Tale (Feris)

In amidst the battle Miruna saw she had little wounds but her Kobold companion was seemingly saw as the lesser prey and their attackers knew it. Try as she might to try and focus their attention on her wasn't effective even after she dispatched a number of them.

Though now that their numbers were just two perhaps she could kill two birds with one stone. She broke from her defensive formation and charged the remaining goblins attempting the cleave at the goblins skull afterwords if successful she would give a menacing glare at the last one remaining "Flee cretin or you will suffer alone unlike your misbegotten compatriots!" She would state afterwords to enhance the threat.

Goblins
To-hit: 1 + 28 = 29 vs 33 = 48 == miss.
To-hit: 11 + 28 = 39 vs 15 == hit
Damage: 1 + 3 - 3 = 1 damage on the kobold.
Miruna
To-hit: 16 + 42 = 58 vs 15 = hit.
Damage: 10 + 10 + 4 = 24 - 3 = 21 damage.
Kobold
To-hit: 10 + 24 = 34 vs 15 = hit.
Damage: 8 + 4 - 3 = 9 damage.

The goblins score another hit on her kobold ally as Miruna breaks her defense, but the blow has little power behind it. More devastating is Mirunas decapitation of the uninjured goblin, followed by the kobold scoring another wound on the last remaining goblin. The creature, knowing it cannot win, turns to flee.

Re: A Knights Tale (Feris)

Miruna sheathed her blade the moment she witnessed the goblin flee for his life turning to her wounded ally whom she knew had bore the worst the this battle his wounds obviously showed that. Yet there was little time to spare if that goblin had gone to fetch more of it's kin they would probable have a fight on their hand they couldn't possibly win. Miruna put most of the weight of the kobolds body on her shoulder eager to help him walk.

"You fought well noble one yet I'm afraid we have little time to celebrate our victory that cretin may return with more so I cannot tend to you here is your village close?" She asked helping the Kobold to his feet yet being near such an enchanted creature seemingly caused her face to become a bit flushed it was hard for her to touch him even in this kind of sitchuation.

The kobold waves off her offer for aid as he puts away his axe, his wounds already on the mend. Remembering that the kobolds, smaller relatives of the trolls, could quickly regenerate from all but fatal wounds, Mirunas mind was a bit more at ease. The kobold quickly says; "The last I knew, the nearest group of my people are still a ways from here. We should proceed with haste, lest the runner bring more enemies upon us."

Nothing else moves to attack them as Miruna and her Fey ally head toward the edge of town. After a ways, a great many spider webs, though much larger than any natural ones would be, begin covering the buildings, some of which have demons caught in them. The kobold seems to take this as a sign, and increases his pace.

A moment later, they come upon a large encampment constructed in a small forest, which seemed to have grown in the middle of the town somehow. There were Fey everywhere, groups of kobolds and gruffs preparing weapons, trolls wrestling with each other in mock combat or standing guard, fey warhounds, beasts easily six feet tall and covered in blue flames, stalked the area on high alert, and massive white hairy spiders crawled across the ground or along the walls. Even the highborn, Fey Lords and Knights, covered the area. The trolls standing guard nodded as they passed, knowing them to be allies.

The kobold turned to her, and said; "Thank ye, milady. I would likely have died on the road had you not escorted me here. Fair thee well, and know that the high born know of it, and will treat thee as fairly as they might ever treat a mortal." With that, he bows to her, and turns to walk away.

Re: A Knights Tale (Feris)

"It was no trouble noble one May the light guide, and protect thee in your battles." She stated bowing slightly showing her respect toward these people as she turned and walked towards the biggest tent she could find to at search for the leader of these creatures when she saw some gruffs preparing for the war ahead she changed her direction and walked towards them. "Excuse me do you know where I can find the leader of your cause?" She asked the fey as they would probable have a better idea of it than she. Since there were so many Fey Lords and Knights around it was difficult to tell whom was leading them and she dare not ask them personally for it might offend their honor in some way.
