Re: A study in the eldritch (Lunaraia;Pervy;MortalitasBorealis)

Korrie shivered a little as Aya explained how she ‘channeled’ that energy and the potential consequences. Honestly, knowing there’s such nigh-infinitely powerful beings out there that can toy with everyone’s lives however they pleased, it’s no wonder eldritch knowledge is said to drive people mad… The slightly more detailed info about the arena didn’t help matters; being pitted against eldritch creatures? It sucks but it’s comprehensible. A reality-breaking arena where you could fight yourselves from different dimensions among some of the less strange possibilities? “Korrie’d rather not fight any clones of us...” She remarked with a nervous smile. Part of her found that possibility pretty silly, but the much bigger part of her remembered how terrifying the phoenix could be at full power. Sometimes she wished she could be as carefree as her sister pet, but then again that’d mean she’d have to be insane already, and she sort of values her sanity.

The pet wyvern furrowed her brow as she felt her brain tingle, wondering if it’s the place’s magic trying to get at her again, only for Aya to snap her out of her fear for a moment and replace it with embarrassment. “Heheheh, just a silly thought…” She murmured with a bashful smile and a blush. Of course the game’s just a game, it’d be silly if eldritch gods could actually be killed by some dude with steampunk weapons. Then again, it’s not out of the realm of possibility for things similar to the Moon Presence to exist as greater denizens of the outer realms…

By this point she didn’t even question the spatial discrepancy of the architecture, taking it in stride as she had other things to worry about. The group eventually arrived at the arena, where some kind of blob creature could be seen. Even with the eldritch deity’s protection, she’d rather not look at the thing, it was plain disgustingly scarring even without its naturally maddening aura. Could she really fight something like that, or worse?

When the Deep One questioned them and Aya looked to her to make her own decision, Korrie hesitated for a moment with clear fear in her eyes, but steeled herself and nodded anyway. “K-Korrie accepts the bet.” She says, stammering a little. Yes she’s terrified of actually having to fight, she’d be worried even against a skilled bunch of human thugs, much less unspeakable horrors from the outer realms, with good reason considering her lack of power. Still, her mistress is counting on her and she’s not gonna let her new family down now! She’ll get through this with everyone! S-Somehow…

Re: A study in the eldritch (Lunaraia;Pervy;MortalitasBorealis)

The Priestess looked at Fey with an incredulous expression for a little bit, clearly taken aback by her peculiar brand of crazy, before she just shook her head "I will take your babbling as approval then, since you seem rather eager to join in" she finally said coldly then proceeded to try very hard to ignore Fey's continues antics, though whether it was to keep her annoyance levels in check or if it was to stop herself from bursting out in laughter was anyone's guess.

She then turned her attention to Aya and Korrie and grinned maliciously as Korrie too gave her consent "It seems like the group is of one mind about this, let's get the show on the road" Aya said finally putting a reassuring hand on each of Korrie and Fey's shoulders as she said so.

The Priestess seemed overjoyed at the news and eagerly waved the trio into another corridor "I have such plans for your match-up, such plans, though we will start it off easy enough, nothing life threatening, yet" she led the trio down several flights of stairs as she talked and into a small chamber with a portcullis in one end, a portcullis leading into the arena itself "Get ready you two, her definition of threatening might not, heck are most likely not, the same as ours" Aya warned solemnly, as she gave both Korrie and Fey a reassuring hug "Don't worry, you two, I got your back in either case so don't you worry about a thing" she ruffled their head lovingly, just as the portcullis opened...

((Insert screams of rage over cliffhanger here :D ))

"One could say we're fired up.. eh Korrie? Eh?" She grinned enthusiastically, emphatizing the second eh by poking Korrie with her elbow. "So is that a no on the entrance themes? I'm feeling a no-vibe" She sulked a bit at that, bouncing along the corridor. She didn't seem to worried.

"At first? So theres several rounds.. anyway.. time to get fired up, wait, no one explained the rules. Are there tap outs? Can I burn folks? Oh hey, you two, make sure not to stand infront of my fires!" She pondered and adviced.

As they closed in upon the Arena, Fey would begin whistling: "On a cold winter morning, in the time before the light.. in the flames of deaths eternal reign we ride towards the fight." She hummed, her feathers puffing up vibrantly. She seemed as excited as Korrie seemed anxious.. "Wait! We didn't give them our names, how can they introduce us.. we gotta do it ourselfs? Ok, Korrie, would you describe me more as amazing or as astonishing?" Fey tipped her chin, worried about her arena-name now.

Korrie followed mostly silently until they reached the chamber that would soon lead out towards the arena, looking at her surroundings and listening to Fey’s antics to distract herself from her fear, chuckling awkwardly at the phoenix’s pun. “Yeah, Korrie figured as much…” She groaned when Aya warned her not to take the priestess’ assurances at face value. It sounded like they’ll be matched up against more than one set of foes too…

Korrie thinks she’ll leave the introductions to you…” The pet wyvern remarked, not exactly in the mood to give herself a grand entrance, “Also, I’d go with… Umm… Dammit, Korrie wanted to make a fire-based pun but couldn’t think of a good one… Just go with ‘Amazing’ then.

And then the gates opened, and though slightly comforted by Aya’s head pats, Korrie huddles up close to her handler and only goes when she does, following close behind. She can only hope whatever they’re pitted against, her two stronger comrades can handle it.

Re: A study in the eldritch (Lunaraia;Pervy;MortalitasBorealis)

As the portcullis slowly opened for the three women they were met with a roar fro those watching the fight, the sound was deafening and would drown out anything the three tried to say to one another for the next minute or so as they made their way out into the arena itself, however if Fey and Korrie had expected the sound to die down they were sorely mistaken as the portcullis in the opposite end slowly opened and a small creature shuffled out pulled by a grumpy looking Deep One that had several injuries all over, the reactions to the crowd were a mixture of bewilderment and fear, bewilderment from those who did not know what the fluffy little thing was and fear from those that did.

Once Aya laid eyes on it she became tense, "Damn, that could be very good or very bad for us, whatever the two of you do, do NOT do anything threatening that will seem to the lil furball until I tell you to, if you do we are most likely dead, how in the nine hells did they manage to capture a Gremlin?" the little furry thing looked around with a terrified expression and suddenly gave a meep, almost immediately the Deep One tripped over his own feet and stumbled before he fell and hit his head on a rock, he sat back up and started to curse up a storm before he threw the leash away and hurried out of the Arena, clearly not wanting to be anywhere near the ting anymore.

"Gremlins projects 2 auras, one of luck and one of bad luck, luck for those it likes bad luck for those it don't, trick here is to make the lil guy view us as friendly, which we actually have a good chance at doing, Fey, Gremlins are fireproof and actually like to sid inside fire to warm up why don't you offer it a warm cozy fire to rest in first, just be careful and don't approach to fast, the bad luck aura of a Gremlin is strong enough to make even supernatural abilities like yours go highwire in the worst possible way, last thing you want if for your regenerative ability to become so strong you regenerate back into a baby or something due to sheer bad luck" just as she finished talking the opposing portcullis opened again and another Gremlin was herded in "You take care of Gremlin number two Korrie, if we can get those guys on our side we will have a much easier time as this progresses, same thing goes for you approach slowly, no sudden movements and no loud noises, the lil things scare easy" she instructed as if she was teaching Korrie and Fey how to do pet tricks more than telling them how to handle a potentially lethal magical creature.

((hands up who saw this coming :D))

Fey annoyedly covered her ears with two fingers at the loud roaring noise. When the noise died down.. or rather, she had acclimated, she made sure to pose dramatically, creating flames to encoat her outline and shake her bottom demonstratively, .. before looking at their opponent. "We need to fight that? but it looks fluffy. I want one. Oooh its a gremlin. Don't get him wet! I watched a movie about it once. It went like.... du du du du du di.. du du di du du di di.." Fey enthused, but stopped her fiery display on Ayas suggestion.

"Aww the poor thing just wants a hug! Can pets have pets because I want one!" She seemed eager to comfort the thing even without instruction.. "Supernaturallly bad luck? Ooh thats cool. Baby Fey away!" She bounced over towards the creature with a happy smile.

"Weee! Gremlin! Look at me!" She said, hopping over towards the gremlin and continuing her 'du du' noises.

"Who wants to get into a warm happy cozy ball of fire where the meanies can't tug you about on a leash?" she offered, extending her left hand, creating a small fireball before the creature, giving it an enthusiastic grin. "Hug the gremlin! I'll call you Gremmy! Always wanted a fireproof pet anyway.. for.. reasons best left unexplained I struggled before... here Gremmy Gremmy?" She offered her slowly growing fireball and definitly didn't seem worried about a bad luck aura at least. Her approach was definitly noisy and only somewhat slow though.

Korrie had to cover her ears as they entered the arena, the roaring crowd just never seemed to end and she didn’t feel like going into the fight with a headache. She didn’t much care what the audience thought of her, as long as they win and get out alive with what they came for. The gate on the other end opened, and the pet wyvern peered nervously at what horrible monstrosity is about to face them…

…Wait what? What is that poor little thing? And why is everyone in the know terrified of it? “…Real life killer rabbit?” She muttered out loud, but got the right answer immediately after. A gremlin? She never bothered to watch the movie besides brief snippets she’d encounter, but she didn’t expect the things to be so… cute. Obviously incredibly dangerous, but cute nonetheless.

Alright, got it…” Korrie nodded hesitantly as she observed the second gremlin from afar before slowly approaching it, careful to maintain a completely neutral air, as if approaching a wounded stray dog that could bite at the slightest provocation. So the goal here is to tame the little things and make them friendly, then use the luck boost to their advantage for… something. She’s actually not sure what their endgame for this match is. Surely they’re not supposed to kill the poor things…?

The wyvern was of course a lot quieter with her approach than her jubilant sister pet, though she made sure the gremlin could watch her approach. Should she try to appease it with some fire? Maybe not from the start.

Umm… Hi? It’s okay, Korrie’s not gonna hurt you…” She kept her voice low but friendly, carefully reaching out to pet the little fellow and pausing as soon as the creature showed any sign of fear, letting it relax before approaching again. “Korrie, uh, heard you like fire? Korrie can give you some fire if you want, nice cozy fire…” She kept whispering, hoping to soothe the creature even if it couldn’t understand a word she’s saying. She has to get its guard down before doing anything else.

((I actually thought some kind of killer rabbit when I saw "fluffy little thing" :p))

Re: A study in the eldritch (Lunaraia;Pervy;MortalitasBorealis)

As Fey got closer she could get a better look at the Gremlin itself, up close it was easy to see that it had a rather spherical shaped body with long fur that crew outward in a slight angle, making the gremlin appear like a literal basket ball sized ball of fuzz from a distance, up close Fey would be able to make out small arms with small hand like paws, allowing them to grab and lift thing, but lacked the finesse needed for fine manipulation, their feet were hidden beneath the fuzzy brown-grey fur itself, though Fey would be able to see a pair of blue eyes look up at her with a slightly scared but rather intrigued expression.

As she neared with the fire it seemed to grow more and more curious and less scared as it slowly crept closer, until it touched the flame with it's little button shaped nose, at which point it did a jump that caused it's bat-like ears to flap, before it jumped into the fire itself, allowing fey to feel its soft foot paws on her hand as it got itself comfortable, the fire causing it's fur to lift upwards, making it appear even more like a ball than before, while it also gave off a content little chirping noise, which, seeing as nothing unlucky had befallen the phoenix-girl yet, was probably a good sign.

Korries approach had the second Gremlin intrigued as well, though it was much more cautious, if Korrie got too close it would back away slowly, keeping it's distance, though it did not appear terribly frightened seeing as Korrie did nothing threatening against it, it was almost as if the Gremlin was studying her, or was waiting for something, the gremlin gave a high pitched flute noise, it sounded almost... inquisitive as it continued to regard the Dragon Girl keeping up it's movement to stay away from ehr, up until the point where she produced her own fire, that would see it get a bit closer and chirp again, allowing Korrie to creep slowly closer again, until her fire ran out at which point it would resume backing off again, making it clear what the Gremlin wanted from her.

"Aww you're adorable!" Fey cheered, petting the little thing in a slightly growing ball of fire she casually held in one hand, not hesitating long to hug the little fired up thing, grinning eagerly and bouncing back to Aya while pet-nuzzling her little furry ball of fire. "These guys suck at holding Arena battles but I don't mind. Whos a good puffy little fuzzball? You are yeees you are. What do they eat? I wanna feed it treats." She enthused, whistling back at the Gremlin, which, with her earlier changed voice, had a similiar melodic, chirping birdlike quality. If one didn't know better they might suspect she was communicating with the little thing. "More fire? Ok!" She grinned, creating a trio of smaller flames slowly floating around the bigger one her Gremlin sat in.

"Can I bring it home? Can I? Can I? Oh! This is Aya, she's a kind of evil witch but a nice handler." Fey chirped, introducing Aya to her gremlin, not without deattaching her hug of the latter.

The good news, Korrie didn’t trip over and break her neck or something as she approached her gremlin. The bad news, the little creature didn’t seem keen on letting her close neither, even if it didn’t seem too scared, shuffling away every time she stepped forward. Looking over at Fey, the phoenix was definitely having better luck than her taming the gremlin, so maybe she should try some fire of her own?

You want fire, right? Don’t be scared, here, have some fire…” She kept her voice at a soothing whisper before breathing a small jet of flame in front of herself, not directly at the adorable yet dangerous furball of course. To her pleasant surprise, the creature sounded happy and waddled closer, until she stopped from starting to run out of breath, at which point it backed away again. Demanding little fellow aren’t you, the wyvern thought as she took a deep breath and exhaled more flames again, keeping her output controlled to sustain it for as long as possible while carefully reaching out to pet the critter and hopefully bring it into her grasp so it stops buggering off again when she runs out of air.

Her flames weren’t nearly as hot as regular fire, but hopefully they’d be warm enough for the fire-loving creatures, and perhaps its hidden strength draining properties would calm it further without alarming it. Once she has her gremlin safely held in her scaly hands, Korrie looks back at her handler, mouthing a “Now what?” as to not alarm the creature with noise.

Re: A study in the eldritch (Lunaraia;Pervy;MortalitasBorealis)

The Gremlin in Fey's arms snuggled back with a rather happy chirp and also playfully nibbled on one of Fey's feathers for a bit, clearly content with being where it was. "I suppose that you can keep it until Mistress says otherwise, as for feeding it, well that's not a problem as you currently are doing quite a good job of doing so" if Fey looked closely she would be able to see that the fire she was making had a rather odd curve to it, as if the strength of the flame was disappearing once it passed the head of the gremlin, the little fur ball happily absorbing the thermal energies she was putting out "Gremlins are Mephits, pseudo elemental that are originally from the various elemental planes but has since been stranded in the material plane and so evolved to adapt, in the case of Gremlins I guess you should be able to easily tell where it is from, right?" Aya grinned as she looked over to see how Korrie was doing for a few moments.

Korrie's gremlin slowly inched its way into Korries claws, once there it seemed to like the feel as it happily snuggled in close and puffed up it's fur even without the fire, clearly liking the sensation of her dragon scales against it's fur, when Korrie breathed on it she would notice that the fire would curl around the Gremlin and slowly disappear a bit after her breath ended, giving a happy chirp and an eager rub from the gremlin, who seemed more energized than anything from absorbing it, though the Gremlin in her hands at also clearly taken a liking to Korrie, which turned out to be quite fortunate as a moment later a giant axe missed her by an inch, having, by sheer luck, veered off at the last possible second, as it thundered through the arena and embedded itself in the wall on the other end, the portcullis their next challenger was approaching, probably ushered out as fast as possible when it became clear that Aya intended to recruit the gremlins to their side.

The newcomer was nearly 3 meters tall all of it seemingly muscle, with a loincloth as the only thing it was wearing, it's mouth was filled with teeth the size of daggers and one singular eye peered out from the giants forehead... a cyclops "Guess the High Priestess was not to amused at how we handled the gremlins, Korrie quickly get over here" Aya stepped forwards and put herself between Fey and the approaching Cyclopi, and took a punch head on for her efforts, though instead of getting sent flying or splattered into juice from the impact the Cyclops recoiled backwards, as runes lining Ayas clothes flared to life with eldritch power nullifying the attack before fading away "Damn that took out more of the shielding than I expected, get ready you two, this is not gonna be anywhere near as easy as round 1" the Cyclops, which had fallen flat on is back from the counterattack from whatever enchantment Aya had exposed it to slowly rose up, it looked more than a bit surprised, and angry as it's singular eye locked on to the quintet with murderous intent.

"Yay! I'm doing what now?" She tilted her head and wiggled a little under the gremlin-feathernibbling. "Uhhh.. pseudo.. who now.." She tipped her chin, struggling with all the terminology. "Oh you mean fire! I get it! awww its adorable." She created a candy-shaped flame and let it levitate close to the gremlin.

Feys happy playtime was only interrupted with the crashing noise of an axe, causing her to tilt her head and look over to the opposing gate curiously. "Ooh! So big.... ooh! Great fallover trick Aya! Hmnn.. Not as easy fight.. means we better end it with one decisive thingie that takes our opponent out for good... Korrie! We need to do a teamwork and go for his most vunerable spot! Fey will create an opening, Korrie, use your dragon-punch!" Feyline shouted, pointing at the Zyklops eye, then, she put the little gremlin she was holding down carefully, pat patting it before pointing at the Cyclops, creating a cascade of fire from her feathers.. "Feylineeeeee.. Dragon flame rush!" She cheered, as a large, but overall not too destructive flame flew at the cyclops, along with Fey dashing forward, fearlessly rushing up to their foe and..

Gripping his loincloth and pulling it up, hopefully with the creature distracted defending its face from the flames. She'd then wiggle at Korrie, holding the creature.. albeit briefly considering their strength difference, in place for Korries.. attack follow up.

Re: A study in the eldritch (Lunaraia;Pervy;MortalitasBorealis)

The pet wyvern felt all warm and fuzzy inside as she watched the adorable furball get comfy in her hands. She watched curiously as her flames seemed to just disappear after passing the gremlin, overhearing from Aya that the creatures actually absorb heat for food, and noted how the gremlin actually seems more energized from her magic flames. Well it’s cute and all, though not something she’d consider pet material considering what they’re capable of, but what should they do now-

CRASH!

With a frozen smile from watching the furball and instinctually not making any sudden movements with the gremlin in her hands, Korrie slowly turned around with jerky movements to see what the hell just flew past behind her, so close she could feel the wind on her back, and after identifying the fact she almost got smashed by a giant axe, turned the other way to see what threw it.
…That’s not small and fluffy at all.

At Aya’s command, the pet wyvern forgot to put her gremlin back down before hurrying over to the group, arriving just as the cyclops’ fist smashed into her handler’s magical shielding and was repelled for the moment. Only then does she remember she still has the fragile creature in her hands that she really doesn’t want to scare, and gently places it back on the ground, where it would hopefully shuffle away to safety or at least not curse her to death if anything happens. Now it’s just a matter of how they’re supposed to take down the big lug…

Vulnerable spot? You mean the eye?” She asked, looking towards the furious cyclops. Considering it’s a cyclops, it only stands to reason that the eye would be its weakspot, but how is she supposed to get to it? “D-Dragon Punch?” She raised an eyebrow at that, unsure why Fey thought she’s strong enough to have special moves like that, but figured a claw to the eye would be effective regardless. The best she can do is follow the phoenix’s lead and hope she doesn’t screw up…

Seeing Fey hold up the cyclops’ loincloth, Korrie gets an idea and charges forward, jumping up as high as she could (and using her wings to give her a boost) in order to land on the loincloth and hopefully use that as a trampoline to bounce up to eye level and slash it with her claws. Strong or no, an eye can’t possibly be that durable, and a blinded enemy will be much easier to fight.

Re: A study in the eldritch (Lunaraia;Pervy;MortalitasBorealis)

The Cyclops gave off an annoyed yell as the flames blasted into it's face, stinging it, though the thick hide protected it from most of the flames the eye, as Korrie had successfully deduced, was indeed a weak-spot, the Cyclops started to swing blindly even as Korrie approached, nearly hitting Fey as she was holding the loincloth taunt and actually dragging her back a few feet as Korrie approached, as it stumbled around blindly, off balance from its own swings.

As Korrie hit the loincloth the tauntness did indeed allow her to be catapulted upwards just in time to take a swing at the Cyclops' eye, though she would take an unfocused to the gut herself for her effort, as the now blinded and more than a bit enraged Cyclops started to flail wildly in an attempt to crush anyone who got near, much to the delight of the crowd, the punch itself sent Korrie flying backwards and towards Aya, who broke her fall with a quick spell, though less injured than if she had taken a full on smash it would still be smarting for a while after that one.

Fey would also quickly come to regret her decision to grab the loincloth, as once Korrie hit home the Cyclops would turn around with such force she too would get thrown away and land rather hard on the ground since the Cyclops were blocking Aya's line of sight, preventing her from aiming a spell her way to break the fall, though that turned out to be a blessing in and of itself as the Cyclops, unaware that both its targets were now out of reach stated to hammer and trample the ground close to it, had Fey still been within arms reach she would have been in serious trouble, even with her regenerative ability, "Befriending the Gremlins are paying of big time it seems" mumbled Aya as she watched the two little fuzzballs chirp excitedly as they watched Korrie and Fey respectively, no doubt their luck aura having something to do with why the two pets where still relatively unscathed, aside form a few bruises, despite being so close to a now blind and rampaging Cyclops.

Once the Giant brute got over it's initial reaction it started to swing it's head here and there before it headed towards the general direction of where Fey was, not relying on it's hearing rather than eyesight to find it's opponent "STOMP YOUUUU" it roared, the noise of it's voice drowning even the roars of the spectators with the sheer noise of it all as it swing blindly towards where Fey was standing, the first swing missing by an inch even as it wound up for a second one, the arch of which would mean that unless Fey moved and fast it would be a direct hit unless a miracle happened.

As this was going on Aya hurried over to Korrie and pulled out a small ring which she clasped onto the leash of Korrie's collar "Lusk or no, Fey won't last long alone against a cyclops, even a blinded one, this ring has the same shielding my clothes has, it's not as powerful so it's good for a hit, maybe two if you are "lucky" go get her some backup, no need to try and win, just distract it until I can conjure up something to deal with it, here get this to Fey, tell her to clasp it on as well, now go!" Aya ushered Korrie away as she pulled out a staff from inside a picket of her robes, a pocket that should not have had any possibility of holding such an item "Well, here goes nothing..." she whispered to herself as she started to chant quietly to herself, a small bluish aura appearing around her as she did.

((feel free to have the cyclops do stuff if you feel it will help you make better posts))

"Not quite what I ment with weakspot but that'll do too.." Fey noted that she and Korrie seemed to have.. different kinds of humor. "Also, you need to shout out.. 'dragon punch!' while you punch it!" The phoenix insisted... only to be sent flying by an enraged Cyclops, making a gremlin-dulled coughing noise as she impacted the ground, getting back up quicker than a normal girl would, but cracking her neck annoyedly.

"Alright fucker, time to use my fire illusions ..
...
I can't actually make illusions with fire, but it was a cool idea for a moment.. hah! Dumbass, missed me, I'm over here.. Now I'm over here!"
Fey bounced back, agily, flipping the cyclops off, only to get all too cocky and have a hammer slam into her.

Granted, she unleashed a fiery blast that would have stopped a normal humans swinging.. it only marginally slowed down the cyclops, as the next hit sent Feyline slamming back and kept her airborn for a moment, landing with a coughing. "Ugh.. couhhghh.." She coughed, pushing herself back up. "That things relentless.. there goes a rib or two..." She complained, before her body reminded her it had the air driven out of it. "Thats it, playtimes over you blind fuck. Come charging towards me!" She growled, raising her arms high, extending her arms with flames pulsing along them, only to gather into a brightly burning fireball in each hand.

"I call this uhm.. TWIN ERASER FLAME!" She shouted, slamming her hands together, unleashing a barely controlled pyroclastic burst of one large flame towards the cyclops... definitly a good show for the audience, and deadly for a normal human opponent or ten, though if the cyclops was.. sturdy enough it'd be up to Korrie to handle the.. tactical side of the combat, as Fey didn't really obscure her position, and looked a bit battered already, for all the heavy damage her powers could inflict.

Re: A study in the eldritch (Lunaraia;Pervy;MortalitasBorealis)

The grossness of her claws tearing into the giant eyeball was quickly forgotten in the face of the pain that now spread from her stomach, the wyvern girl having been smacked away by a stray punch. Thanks to her handler the damage was reduced to mostly inconsequential amounts, and the little furballs probably helped considering how hyped they seemed, but that still hurt! Korrie winced as she rubbed her bruised tummy, and watched as the blinded but berserking cyclops approached Fey. She has to go help her, but how?

Korrie’s attention was temporarily drawn by Aya as the ring was clasped to her leash. Listening to the explanation and nodding in acknowledgement, the pet wyvern quickly raced towards her sister pet, wincing as she watched the phoenix get hit again. Aya’s right, even with super regeneration, the cyclops is too powerful without the immortality of the otherworldly realms backing them up, she has to hurry! While making sure she doesn’t get caught in the crossfire of course. “HEY! OVER HERE!” Korrie yelled at the top of her lungs once the cyclops was struck with the Twin Eraser Flame, spitting a fireball at him from the side (the target’s so big even she couldn’t miss). Of course, compared to Fey’s powers her own little fire spitting would do practically nothing, but it was enough to distract the cyclops for a precious few seconds, redirecting his attention towards the wrong direction and letting her reach Fey, where she hurriedly gave the phoenix the ring. “Here, it’ll give you magical shielding like Aya’s! Soon he’ll realize Korrie can’t really do anything to him, so you’ll have to keep up the heat! Korrie’ll try to numb a leg or something to slow him down, just stall for time and stay safe, Aya’s charging up something!” She explained before hurrying off again, going to the opposite direction from the cyclops compared to Fey.

Once in position, Korrie will continue to throw fireballs at the giant foe from afar, until he decides that the pathetic flames from his second enemy were doing nothing but annoy him compared to the actually painful flames from the first one and opted to ignore the wyvern in favor of going after the phoenix. Once that happens, Korrie can go closer and start breathing a near constant jet of fire against his legs, seemingly doing nothing at first, but gradually numbing them, making it harder to move. The goal isn’t to win afterall, merely give time for Aya to do her work…

Re: A study in the eldritch (Lunaraia;Pervy;MortalitasBorealis)

The cyclops took another swing at Aa and Korrie as she explained everything to them but misjudged the distance and missed them by a few inches, causing it to overbalance for a few pleacious moments, allowing the duo to get into position, the "twin eraser flame" as Fey had called it did cause the Cyclops to stagger backwards, already off balance though it only lasted a few moments before it stopped and slowly started to inch forward instead, completely ignoring Korrie's flames as they stung less, it wound up gfor another hit on Fey, only to stumble as Korrie's flames did their work on it's leg, causing the crushing blow to miss and leave a small indentation in the floor, having missed again it slammed sideways into Fey, expecting her to be sent flying, another mistake.

Fey would be able to notice the hit as it impacted, but the ring on her collar flared to life and it was more like a friendly pat than a bone breaking attack, the Cyclops was not so lucky, however as the runic shielding once again caused it's attack to be repelled back at it sending it flying backwards to land heavily on its back, the rings glow diminished somewhat, but still held, indicating that the shielding was still intact, for now, but it had left the Cyclops daze and disoriented opening it up for yet another attack from Fey.

Likewise the numbing flames from Korrie was starting to have a severe effect on the Cyclops' legs causing it to have difficulties standing and it slowly got up on it's knees "SMASH NASTY GNATS!!" it bellowed angrily as it started to crawl in the direction of Korrie, thinking her easier prey than Fey, this also put it's back to fey, making it less painful for it's blinded eye than when it had to block the fire with its arms, allowing it to close the distance surprisingly fast, considering it was crawling, as it reached out for Korrie in an attempt to grab her, if it got a hold of her that would not be fun for the dragon girl if the cyclops crazed expression was any indication.

Aya herself continued her chanting, the bright aura around her taking on a sinister pale glow with shadows and smoke starting to appear inside it, moving around, the fans who noticed stared to get some rather worried expressions on their faces and the high Priestess herself froze as she realized what Aya was up to, she was tempted to stop it, but know that doing so would be to admit defeat, with an annoyed gesture she signaled for the arena master to ready the next combatant, the Cyclops would not survive the spell once it finished.

"Oh don't worry about it, you see, my power is actually not fire creation, but fire control and shaping, so if we wanna beef up your flame.. anyway, thanks for the bling!" Fey took the ring, and, with a waving of her hand, Korries flames picked up in size once thrown, while she observed their enemy, and pondered her next attack, still holding her side slightly.

Fey grinned, also noticing Ayas chanting and Korries strubble, considering the situation.. she couldn't risk the literal friendly fier... so instead, she raised her hand, creating a large fireball in between them. "Hey eyeless.. uh... YOUR MOM SMELLS!" she tried to distract the cyclops attention further.. meanwhile, pressing her hands together, the fireball growing.. smaller actually, smaller, and whiter. Truthfully, expecting Ayas magic to take care of the creature -without- fiering up Korrie, Feyline was preparing an actual dangerous attack for a potential next enemy already, her fireball shrinking and condensing more and more.. If the Cyclops did try to charge after her she'd still fire the rather hot ball off at it first, but nor now, this enemy seemed under control..

Really? Because you look like you’re creating flames just fine.” Korrie remarked a little confusedly, “And don’t worry, Korrie shouldn’t need very strong flames for her plan, just stay safe yourself!

The wyvern girl smiled in satisfaction as she saw her strength-sapping flames were having a clear effect on their opponent, making the cyclops much easier to avoid. That was, until the giant stopped using his legs and started going for the easier target, i.e. Korrie. Yelping in surprise and fear, the wyvern quickly turned tail and ran, not even bothering to shoot flames at the cyclops anymore, just focusing on getting the hell away from him. If anything, since her flames stopped, it’d be MUCH harder for a blinded foe to track her down, and once she considers herself ‘safe’, and sees that Fey is also a safe distance away from the cyclops and not drawing attention to herself neither, Korrie will simply stop attacking, using sporadic fireballs to lure the blind cyclops away from her allies if she must.

Glancing back over to her handler to see how the charging process is going, the wyvern shivered a little as she saw how much power was being gathered there, and she could tell from the tension in the air that even the audience could feel what’s going to happen once Aya unleashes her magic. Whatever it is, it won’t end well for the cyclops, and she’s going to get faaaarrr away from the target before it happens.
