New Douji has a similar gimmick as the commander: he normally attacks with a fierce ranged attack, but letting him through doesn't affect your 3-star rating.

EDIT:
His ranged fireball deals around 1410 damage.

EDIT 2:
This is the ideal melee and healer placement. You don't need as high a quality healers as I'm using, especially if you have AW Anya or another magically resistant unit.

Finally got the completion reward on all Gold Rush maps. Now I can use my leftover stamina to farm gold fairies for Leda...

Completion done on first attempt and 3-star cleared, including boss kill, on second attempt. I guess I'm done for today.

Angel lightning-rod to cover Eterna, while Eterna heals and deals damage.
Ranged position between Eterna and Liana will not get hit by an AOE.
Serra does get hit from the position behind AW Prince.

Had the stamina, so I figured doing it with a Thief is worth a try.

Haven't tried it, but I plan to Sophie him with her 60 MRes.
Heck, I should be able to do it with just Makoto healing and burst it down like a boss.

The red Oni wise, I am totally just bashing him with Nanaly + Waltz + Uzume combo.

Had the stamina, so I figured doing it with a Thief is worth a try.
You need to AW your thief xD

AW Thief should increase defense (x1.3) mref (+15) and movement speed (like in high speed battle?) too, then I can find a place to cry in the corner.

I'm already working on it! I just got my dancer and rogue to CC70, so I'm free to use Platinum Armors on Jelius or Leda. It's a good thing she is gold, which means less resources needed to get her to CC60.

The only problem that remains is Magic Crystals. I will probably pass on the next collection event (only using natural charisma/stamina assuming it is Platinum) and use SC to farm for Magic Crystals and gold.

So always I read about this gold rush event, I thought it was about money, not units .D
So is this supposed to be for getting rainbow crystals? of for min-cost? or both?

Depends on your position.

Aside from Ryuryu and Moldevort, who are event units, the rest are worth a ton of synthesis xp during a 3x/2x male/female synthesis bonus event (i.e. gold female units are worth 750xp at their base, and male units are worth 1.5kxp). Dorothy is a special class unit, so each level she gives +20xp (i.e. LV30 is 1330xp; not including same class bonus), so she can be worth a lot of synthesis xp; the rest need to be class-changed before they give such.

The situation is the same for Rainbow Crystals, Ryuryu and Moldevort are both worth a paltry amount, so the only reason to get the completion reward is if you want to raise them, but the rest are worth 20 crystals each.

For new players, Japanese players recommend raising the following:
Gold Heavy Berenice (has higher base defence than the Plat Heavy Jelius, and increases all heavy armour defence by 1.05x if she's on your team [AW].)
Plat Mage Moldevort (has an easy to raise Strengthen Attack IV skill, and is the only ranged unit immune to poison, and status ailments [AW].)
Gold Gunner Mel (Extend Range II is strong with her 300 range base and high offensive power per shot [AW].)
Plat Dragon Rider Lucille (Not a completion reward, but she's a good front line tank that can dish out a lot of damage with her fireballs, all you need is one of her to be useful until they do her revival.)

Useful to have on your team depending on the situation:
Gold Bandit Conrad (increases bandit attack 1.07x if he's on the team [AW]; useful front line male unit.)
Gold Healer Roberto (increases confidence item drops by 2% [4% Post-AW] if he's on your team; useful for getting completion rewards on gold rush maps.)
Gold Samurai Kojuurou (increases Samurai defence by 1.05x if he's on the team [AW].)
Gold Theif Leda (increases item [not unit] drops by 3% [5% Post-AW] and enemy HP and AT by 1.2x [1.3x Post-AW] if she's on your team.)

Kojuurou has the same skill as the Plat Heavy Armour Jelius after CC so he's very good skill-up food for him. Monme, one of the best players when it comes to making low-rarity strategies, says that Kojuurou is convenient and easy to use, and that other players should try him out. As a Shogun, he can block and attack 3 enemies at the same time.

Avenger Dorothy is the only odd one out, since she's a technical class that is extremely powerful if used correctly. Death Avengers don't have Skill AW yet, so it's unknown if they'll give the ones available skills that make them easier to use for those that aren't hardcore gamers that enjoy dissecting enemy data on each and every map.

These gold rush so far i only got Leda + Moldevort...
I was focusing soo much on revival memento that i got her 5 copy (CR-4 yay)
But the main problem is her skill stuck at 9/10 T_T, been trying to get it to 10/10 in case of necromancer AW skill.

Hopefuly i got her to 10/10 skill then have the cost left to spare to get bernice / dorothy / mel...
As atm i really want memento 10/10 skill 1st while she on her revival (maybe CR-5 too if lucky enuff :p) (willing to spend 10 more SC)
*While i know most ppl use necro just for the token... (no need high CR / skill) AW skill usualy made thing broken hence why this is my priorty and i don't want to spend rainbow fairy >.<*

The only way I can see Memento gaining an OP Skill is if they change it so she buffs all undead characters, including vampires, or halve the deployment cost of all necromancer token while its active. Other than that, her skill right now requires that they do something like make an item trial event for Black Necromancer Metus, who has the ability to deploy liches that Memento can buff with her skill.

Did some serious testing on 50/6

  • Melee spot wise, Leone doesn't reach, but Sybella does. (will be hit if the red oni is at top)
  • Bottom left range slot wise, only the 3rd time it's safe. (will be hit the first and second time)
  • Nanaly can hit the red oni at both the top and bottom room. (Nanaly's passive range is ridiculous)
  • Nanaly (with Spika boost) + Sybella, with the usual buffs was enough to take the boss out (on 2nd time he goes to the bottom room) despite AW Thief.

  • Karma can solo about 20% or a bit more of it's bar if the above fails
  • The drop rate on that map is actually amazing ...

Loving the gold fairy drop rates. I'm getting two per try for 6 Stam... Pretty much all my gold units are ready to be awed. Though I'm running seriously low on affection items.

I don't understand how some of you guys have more than a hundred saved up.

Let's just say its preparation only, but i'm almost at my end since after buying 5 copy i stills tuck on 9/10 so i decided 1 more copy before i call it quit -.- (maybe i can CR-5 her lol since so far all CR success)

and to put more salt the the wound, i wasn't able to get completion (not even new drop *missing crystal and magic crystal) from dorothy map... *leda / Cuterie / monica do your job please!!!* (2 try in total so far)

Edit: which remind me after memento revival and maybe Lucielle + Liana in future revival, i should probably had goten all the past important event unit since i started aigis on February 2015 (rght on Liana) event....
Yay finaly catch up and i dont need anymore cost management on revival unit >.<
PS: Still need Rowanna / Roanna (dark elf avenger) for the stat imunity unit....

Quick Edit2: Memento finaly hit 10/10 skill guess no more copy for her for last CR :p

3 trips and I got all 3 drops on the last Gold Rush map. Uncomplicated map that is easy enough to handle with just my witches, shaman, and bishops. It has 32 lines of dialogue so I'm not sure if I can fit the translation on this board...

In any case, Gold Rush Complete. Only spent 1 SC on it, and that was only because I was in a hurry to retry the 12 stamina map.

Now I can use the rest of my stamina for other things.

In any case, these maps hinting at things to come reminded me of a couple things that were mentioned during the conference.

#1: Increase in Confidence Parameters.

I've been waiting for this for a long time and I thought the developers have forgotten about it since they did nothing about it for many months after mentioning it. I hope they normalize the bonuses to match with the females, even if it turns the Platinum males into Black-quality Platinum units.

I think the only plat male that'd compete for black territory in that case is Gellius, who is kinda already a pseudo-black anyway by virtue of being the best defensive HA.

Zenobia'd still be leagues better than Jerome at actual fighting and the general sentiment seems to be that Marius's AW skill is not as well-liked as Patra's.



More realistically I think it'd be a part of a bigger balance patch that buffs a lot of things.

Since it's about confidence bonus, it should be the stats we're talking about and not their skills. Overall performance differs from unit to unit and most of the time stats define a unit more than their skill (Spica, for one). There are, of course, units whose skill elevates them to exceptional levels, but that's not the point of the possible confidence bonus buff.

If Jerome were to have normalized Confidence bonuses, then he will have stats slightly below Altair's at max level. His skill AW is not combat-oriented, but his stats already allow him to fight better than most soldiers and having a boost allows him to fight the weaker of strong enemies with a lot more ease. Less damage taken means more time for him to stay on the field without needing heals immediately. That is a major buff in my eyes.

I think skill defines a unit more than their stats, personally, which is why I mentioned them. I mean, Garrett would be better with full confidence, but the thing that distinguishes him the most from Bernice is their skills and that is the primary reason I would use her over him since I value Defense Up on a HA more than any offensive stats or skills. Generally speaking, units of the same class and rarity follow fairly similar stat progressions with mild divergence(like units with lower base attack having Attack Up skills). Spica would also be a less popular unit if she just had Range Up.

I suppose in the end my implication is that it would improve the usability of male units without totally outclassing their female compatriots. I think it's more likely to improve to like, say, 75% of a female's bonus, though, since men do have higher stats than women before affection.

This is the most important part for me. There are some male units I would really like to use, but are just completely outclassed because of their stats. Even if it's 75%, I would be glad for it because it allows them to be a more viable option than being overlooked. Although, the males with only HP bonuses would still be overlooked unless they re-adjust them like Ren and Marnie.

I'll agree that skills are definitely a big factor of a unit's full performance, but for some classes I like them for their raw capabilities. Healers are one class I would like to have good stats for since I don't want to rely on their skill unless it's really necessary. Soldiers are another class I like to have high raw stats for. Katie used to be an occasionally used back-up, but ever since the soldier's defense buff, I've stopped relying on her because Aria is just not very squishy anymore. The addition of Liselotte just sealed the deal and Katie was thrown into the barracks, never to be seen again. Dragon Riders and Princesses are also classes where I prefer raw stats. I even plan to raise Nadia just because I want to have another very durable unit even if I already have an AW90 Lucille.
