Cost reduction is based on unit rarity. Bronze units can only be cost-reduced by 2, and most silver and higher units can be cost reduced by 3. An example of an exception is the platinum mage Odette, who can be cost reduced by 5.

You don't need a class-changed version of a character in order to cost reduce, so it's safe to feed a healer Alyssa to a priestess Alyssa. The only time you will want to feed a unit a class-changed version of itself is if it's a unit that gains a new skill after their class-change. For example, a priestess Iris has Strengthen Healing II, so she would need to be fed another priestess Iris to level up this skill.

There's currently no new way to gain another Katie as of now. This might change in the future.

-Class-change Maxed Level + 100 Affection/Confidence.
-A new fairy used for awakening that can be traded for with magic crystals.
-3 silver units that have been class-changed, or 1 gold unit that hasn't been class-changed.

Geez, this sounds kind of steep, and still doesn't make it absolutely clear whether or not princesses, dragon shamans, summoners, avengers, and yinyang master classes can be awakened. I want to feed Themis to my other units, but I might want to keep her if she gains a useful awakened ability that would make her more than just a weaker version of Princess Lilia.

This awakening thing has really big chances of completely ruining the game for free or low $ players......
spare gold units are rare, you usually need to feed them for power ups and
3 cc silvers means 6 silvers, is doable but a pain in the ass if that 3 units have to be of specific types.

We need to know if the silver/gold unit is specific or not, and really need to know the red gem cost of the special fairy.
Btw i think the gold unit is for plat/black and 3silver for silver/gold.

Edit: Berenice and Iris look really cool in her awakened art...
Edit edit: Really ?! new art for every units ? Look like a really big work for (24H maintenance :p?)

I have a feeling they're hiring new artists for the awakened art, Saint Iris and Bernice look a bit different. Too bad the silver units who really need a makeover can't be awakened x.x (Poor Mischa/Phylis). That or they've had the awakened art done for quite a while, or will try to rehire who they can. This is kind of a huge art update, I'm surprised they decided on new art for all the units. Wonder if they'll get new sprites too?

For the cost of awakening, you'd think it'd be a pretty huge boost. Guess we'll see soon. I don't have any max level units yet. Closest is Iris and Themis above silver, so here's hoping they get some nice bonuses. I'd hold off on leveling people until we find out what abilities everybody gets, don't let the 3x synthesis event drain your gold+ units haha. You'll need em for awakening mats or they might have an OP awakening ability after all.

For now, assume the following (this is going by experience):
1) CONFIRMED: Male and female of gold rarity and above can be awakened
2) Awakening require 3x sacrifices of class-change required class
3) CONFIRMED: Sacrifice must be a silver CC unit or a gold regular unit
4) Awakening Crystal = 100 Red Gems

Having specific class required for sacrifice might be a bit brutal in my opinion. Nanaly for example, would require level 80, 100% affection and 3x CCed silver/non-gold cc archers.

Though considering this is the final class, and modified art, it might be indeed be the same requirement as class-change except more brutal due to gold rarity or CCed.

Yes in terms of new sprites. I already seen Dahlia and Shiro Lily's from two posters ago.

Mmm it's still theory but i think it's a good idea to save my gold bandit Conrad for my laila.
Awakened units deployement cost change ?
Stats changes or only skill ?
New skill erase the old skill ?
New skill is a passive or active skill ?
New event CG for the awakened unit ??
And so many more questions... because we know (nearly) how to awaken; but we don't know that much about what the awaken really change

Currently I have 3 CC'd healers. Should I raise one more?

Elven Queen Sedis at lv 29 (I'm always tempted to spell this one "Sithis")
Arisa (silver) maxed
G-Iris just CC'd minutes ago (Giris? lol)

non-CC'd:
Dolka (silver): 3 copies
Fedora (Gold): 2 copies
Christopher (Snack)


Mainly, I'm trying to decide whether to synth two Fedoras together or use one copy as exp feeder to some other units.

I hope awakening is not going to raise too much the power of the unit, kinda like kai 2 in Kancolle, new art, small bonus and that's it, because if it give too much it may raise the difficulty of future event, making thing harder for low/mid tier player.

-Gold+ female unit summoning bonus chance from premium summoning over.
-Mission clear rewards from the previous emergency mission will be given out.
-New event begins.

"Awaken and power up your units! Once awakened, it's possible to obtain an awakened ability. Awakened abilities are unit specific abilities! Even among the same class, your strategy will also change due to the differences among awakened abilities!"

The only example they gave so far of an awakened ability was when they made it sound like it was class-specific during the previous event. For Valkyries, it was an ability where their retreat cost is the same as their deployment cost, so you could deploy and retreat a Valkyrie for free. Now they're making it sound like each valkyrie has their own awakened ability.

Where are you getting the sneak peeks at the new art?

@nolly (and cost reduction)

If you take a look at the prince status screen (You can do it from lock units menu) you will see that there are three kanji in parentheses after his cost. This is how you can tell (without just checking in wiki) if unit is at it's minimal cost.

All I want in Aegis is higher difficulty. Every map should be around Sorano ultimate version level. *nods*

But yes, I am thinking of a significant raise in difficulty as well.

The 1.5x drop bonus (along with the 3x synthesis bonus) is going to continue, but you're going to have to do it while the new event is in progress. The only thing that's going to end is the current bonus for summoning gold and platinum female units from the premium summoning.

Oh I see.
But if the new event is a farm/grind one... we lose 1 day of it anyway..... nice way for compensating a rollback and more than a day offline.
I cant complain since I didn't spend a penny on the game but well :p

Slow down skippy, you might wanna keep Christopher for male only maps. Males aren't feed only now thanks to the confidence system :p (That was released right after I fed on my male gold archer...) It's also a good indication that male only maps might make an appearance in events in the future. Fedora has range extension that opens up many new strategies, so she's not bad either to keep just in case. Having a wide variety of different healing skills is always good. Dolka, well she's feed or another low cost healer, I doubt you'd need her though.

Whatever you do you'll probably want to wait until the awakening system is released. Maybe that's just me but using the 3x synthesis now just to possibly lose a unit that becomes much stronger when awakened would piss me off, not worth the bonus exp lol. There will always be time to level your units more after all, but you never know if you can replace the units you feed any time soon.

Wow, barely 1 star'd the 小人バトル2 quest. I think I'm going to need to CC Phyllis and Cecily or Rosalie if I want to move on to the next quest... once I'm done with my only female mage >_>. I haven't even touched my 15 Charlottes yet, ugh. So many units to level @_@
