The Dark Elf Avengers for this event seem pretty nasty. Supposedly, their damage multiplier can go up to 7x, which means the ones on the last map can deal 2940 damage. I didn't realise that when I did the last map, and had the Prince dueling one for bad results.

Back during the first Dark Elf Avenger event, the best strategy for dealing with Roana was to catch her with a crappy heavy armour, and then have it hold her until your characters defeat all of the other enemies so you could build a killing lane. These dark elf avengers seem to be much more fragile, so that strategy probably isn't going to work as well, but their low health means that it's easier to kill them as they walk down your kill lane.

My AW99 Black Artemis Nanaly is the most likely candidate, since I'm unlikely to ever feed her a copy of herself for the guaranteed 100% cost-reduction. Nanaly and Crissa are good as soon as you summon them, most of the other black units require rainbow fairies and stuff to reach their potential.

Finished a rough translation for all of the event maps. Pupuru is kind of fun to write dialogue for.

but i have a question about the difficulty of the maps.
what rank and which color are best used to blind run a high difficulty map
is it possible to do it with a team that is around 50/50 gold/platinum

Rank 64 unlocks a Prince title that allows him to buff the attack and defence of everyone—including himself—by 1.19x if he's deployed.

As for rarity tiers for blind runs. Using a team consisting solely of expensive-to-deploy gold and platinum units can ruin you if you don't have some of them at a cheap-deployment cost. A lot of the newer emergency missions have enemies pop up out of nowhere, so it's difficult to blind run maps without redundant back-up units, or cheat characters, so you can react to the situation. Certain mincost silver units are a must until you're able to raise certain cost-reduced gold units to replace them. I still bring some of my silver characters along during certain events, since having a sniper that costs 9 to deploy is sometimes more useful than one that costs 13~.

The most important thing is to understand the maps that you are visiting, and prepare a team that you think will help with your understanding of the deployment positions that you have available to you. Some classes perform much better on certain maps than others.

Hmm i still havent tried the event map was busy using the stam for demon crystal.
But looking at that video looks like easy and the main note to take is those avenger can easily 1 shoot u if u not careful with retreating ur melee.
I also heard from friend that 4th map is the hardest :eek: due to limited space to deploy 3 ranged spot only while u can't ambush the mage / archer spawn

My god, I just tried premium gacha with the crystals I got from the event and got myself Hina.
I..I don't know what to do with her.

I wonder how bad the last few maps are gonna be when they add them if these avengers are already causing problems. I think I will try to awaken zola and test if she alone is enough for me to beat the magic crystal daily and nuke these avengers before they can murder my melee and mess everything up. At least if Im able to beat the daily her orb drops from

Unfortunately, Zora is the worst gunner for the extreme-tier magic crystal map. Her AW ability just lets her fire one extra shot for every 6-7 Janna fires. The Gold Gunner Mel can one-shot the gazers at around AW20, and Janna needs to be almost AW90 (80+) before she can do the same.

You need your physical ranged units able to deal 681 with the 1.19x buff from the Prince to one-shot the 660 (150DF) Gazers. Otherwise, 404 with the 1.19x buff to 2-shot them is enough. I think Zora would be much more useful to you as a Heavy Gunner if you want to use her for the extreme-tier daily.

The extreme-tier magic crystal daily is really easy if you have a couple Artemis. You just need to awaken the character and raise them so they can deal 525 damage with the 1.19x buff from the Prince.

I did blind run on 4th map a while ago and my main problem was rush at the end (I took only 2 archers with me, so I got rushed by treants. 1 star but it was not stressing I might fail whole mission), avengers were easily killed by Spica + Claire team so your bitching about them is stressing me out @@ If people are having such troubles how next maps may be...

Anyway, I knew I need 3rd archer to kill treants at the center but I wanted to see how others worked with light beams (?) and found this really nice and cool tactics:

which I am going to try probably on Tuesday (now I am farming red crystals, then I want to farm gold crystals for future revivals). Haven't try 5th map yet.

Good news is I decided to buy Sedis copy and managed -2 cost (unfortunately skill still 3/5). I am really happy, since she is almost ready to AW (need 5 more lvls) and I have bunch of healers for AW materials. I have 300 red crystals left but I am going to buy second Saki sooner or later though (probably just before she will be removed).

I am really glad for this star event. Since I will be mostly off during next weekend I won't lose much in the game, being able to complete it on Monday or later on.

well this video I think its the only video of extreme tier without a ton of awakened archers and etc hes close to one shotting them with zola but it seems he didnt even need to. Im not sure if hes really high lvl and has a better prince title though since he doesn't show his lvl and it sounds like he says something about needing a platinum rare witch as a lightning rod or at least what I can read with goggle translate. and um wouldnt either zora or janna be able to hit 681 with like AW 40~ and maxed affection?

I want to max out this star event at least the cost reductions but at the same time I want to awaken units that can beat extreme magic crystal since Im still not completely sure if I want to cost reduce akane once or not before shes gone. seems like shed only be good for one fight and then youd have to withdraw her because of that long skill cooldown maybe 2 at 50-60 second duration.

No, neither of them are able to reach 681 at AW40 and max affection. Harvel Tina brought High Princess Sherry, who can buff the HP/DF/AT of all Gold- Units by +5%. Her role was to make it so Calliope could function as a lightning rod. Janna can only reach 686 at AW90. Zora can only reach 643 at AW80. For you to make it so Zora can deal 681 damage, you would also need to bring a High Princess Sherry, and have your Prince at rank 192 for the last title in order to reach 810 damage (at 1.19x and AW Sherry, you can only reach 803 at AW80).

Basically, there's zero point to awakening Zora to test if she'll make the extreme-tier map doable because it's impossible for her to reach another damage threshold with her and the Prince. She also sacrifices 40 range after she awakens, so she might be less useful if you do awaken her for that map.

Youtube has a small pool of users, so you're unlikely to find any decent strategies by anyone other than Nasu unless it's some re-uploaded one from Nicovideo. For example, one of the first things I found for that map was this silver-quality strategy:

You should just add Monme to your favourites (お気に入り登録), and check that whenever you have problems. He always seems to have a low-quality strategy for every hard map in the game.

alright I wont awaken zora for now I'm forgetting how tanky those trent seem to be anyway I don't exactly know how much defense and health they have its not on gc wiki in that event page. It also looks like they recover too fast for a single unit to kill excluding an avenger so maybe I should just do claire for now and maybe dorothy?

I'm sure u don't need AW units to beat it, didn't Petite post some silver strats or were those for another map?

Half asleep I just rolled Fedora from sP gacha (my second gold from it, nothing higher so far, everything also "useless"). While having -3 56AW Iris, -2 CC66 Sedis, -5 CC50 Liana and -2 CC48 Dolka what the hell I am supposed to do with Fedora? ~_____~ I already have one lvl1 copy from previous gold rush (so 2 total).
I remember some of you saying she is awesome but I Ann not really sure why ?
Although with 4high lvl healers (and Echidna lol ) will I ever use her...?

Would gladly trade her for Bernice or Claire copy :/

This event is annoying enough that I finally CC'd Janna so I'd have a physical aoe. Her skill is so much fun~ I did kind of want a Sailor first since I have 3 decent Mages, but couldn't decide between CCing/AWing Vieira, or just AWing Marnie who was pretty ready. Gianna is more reliable anyways and I'm sure I had to work on her eventually. Saki/Azami and Rikka covers for melee/ranged pretty well, though the aoe of a Sailor woulda been nice.

I hope the new awakening materials let us use up non basic units now, so tired of them just rotting in my inventory. I'm sure I'll have a lot more awakenings available to me if they start using the newer classes for materials.

I'm sure many people who have a non-AW Fedora are phasing her out for Liana instead. Eventually, she might replace your silver healer if she gets awakened with max cost reduction because she'll at least do better than a max CR silver healer. I plan on doing this for her one day, but for now she's just sitting in the barracks doing nothing until then.

There's always the option to CC her and feed her to Belinda if you need that skill leveled up. :p

Yeah, I hope they stop asking for a soldier or an archer for every single AW and CC out there... I spent like 40 crystals on Riana and I can't CC her because she needs an archer..

tfw AW70 Janna (+ prince buff = 808) has less attack than AW1 Meru (+prince buff = 820) :mad:

That is not tacking into considering that Janna need her AW skill to have the same range as Meru.

Power Shooting is really a broken skill.

@exkale, I am not planning any premium summons in future so having Fedora cost reduced doesn't seem so.
as I said before: I already have 4 high lvl healers (ok, one is silver but another it's Sedis, she counts as 2 :p ). I rarely use 3 of them so lvling 5th does not feel like good use of resources .
Althouh thanks for info about Belinda, I did not notice they share same skill and I want to lvl her someday. I have something to think about, other than uses for Happy F. Thank you :)

@starbound, doesn't seem so atm. Is it available already anyway ?

Zora:
I have Zora as my only AWed gunner, she works great if you can break damage threshold. Due to faster attack speed, she kills gazer faster and thereby taking less damage. In the above calculation you forgot a much more accessible AW Aria. Which works out to be 818 damage due to that flat 2% boost.

You can also bring out AW Uzume's 5%, but that's kinda difficult. Hence I agree with Petite's assessment.

Mel cannot dps xD If one hits is all you need, you don't need dps, but if it's a more general map, Zora's got higher dps. (Janna still blows Zora out of the water in subjugation missions, that aoe)

Fedora
Healer wise, min-cost AW Fedora is ranked highest in terms of afk healers and pretty high for blind runs. (Both black healers are just better, but at arguably higher cost)

Both Fedora and Aria are the same ideal, lowest cost highest performance for the cost. Only when they are min cost. (but Aria >> Fedora since soldier is more useful)
