Small update:
Various events in the walking around portion of Act 2 added (technically these were included in the 1.4 update as well) and the event were they meet the purple haired guy again and Ura ends up chasing after him is done as well (but not checked a second time yet).
This seems quite open ended and I'm not sure where all I might find some hidden text. I seem to be spending about half the time I'm putting towards translating just wandering around in the game hunting for some extra bit of text, fighting the same battles over and over again.
So if anyone wants to hunt with me and finds untranslated bits that'd be appreciated. Just take a screen shot or tell me where it is and I'll try to get there myself and work on it. My current aims are now to try and get Blades capture event and finish the translation on that, do the same with Ura, and see what happens when I go back to flip the switch after Ura leaves the party (ie progress the story).

It seem that your pacth breaks some game mechanic. More specifically, the one time use equipable item (ex.: binding rope). With the patch, you can use the same equipment again and again. Without it, it disappear from the inventory after one use.

Is there anything extra I need to do with the translations other than dragging and dropping the files into the main directory? I've done that and haven't seen any change in the game.

Make sure you extract the Game.rgss3a to the game folder, overwrite with the translation files, and then rename/move/delete the Game.rgss3a or else it will use the default files contained within.

I hadn't noticed that. When I use the binding ropes to test, I usually load afterwards and never notice if the item is used up or not. I'll look into it further. If it is the case that is truly a bug and I can't fix it, then oh well. We have to suffer infinite use items to read it in English, such a sacrifice.

Binding ropes are 1-use only, so machine translators need to check if a script went awry during the transition.

Welp, I suppose it's time to scan these thousands of lines of code.
Found the location. Common Event 307, attached a screen shot of the translated version and the original version. Should be clear which is which. I honestly don't know what would be wrong, it looks like it should do it's job.
But it clearly doesn't as I have finally gotten around to testing. Damn it, why doesn't RPGMaker have a referencing option so I could just find every reference to the Binding Rope. I don't have the energy or the time to manually sort through all the script code. If someone wants to, I'll copy paste em all to text files and hand em over. If it were in the common events, it should function regardless of name as the picture shows. I've ctrl+f'ed all the custom scripts and didn't fine the japanese line for Binding Rope anywhere. Maybe someone else can find it.
It doesn't strike me as too big of an issue though as it isn't something people will use when battling seriously. So I'm not going to worry to much about it.
Also: Just updated again, Blade's capture event is done and checked a second time.

Just a heads up I replace the RG file in translation folder with in game one and it just crashes so I have no idea how you guys can be playing the game translated

I'm a bit unsure on what you're saying you did. The translation works the same way all the translations do.
Decrypt the Game.rgss3a file to access the Data and Graphics folder. Copy across those folders to the game location and then replace them with the translated versions. Lastly rename or delete the game.rgss3a file and launch the game.
The only issues Ive run into with the translation so far have been a couple of missing graphics which TNT90 has uploaded, and at one point the game was missing an audio file which I grabbed from a non translated version.

Tried searching the japanese text for the binding rope entry with this method as well and nothing. I don't think RPGMaker can search for japanese text.
Still need some help with this line.

Try copying and pasting the Japanese text into the search function if you can't type it in.
As for the dialogue, it's the sound people make when they're being pummelled badly and can't articulate properly. Choose whatever words you like to simulate someone trying to cry out for help and unable to properly speak.

That's what I did. I've tried copying other phrases in japanese that I know were in script and it didn't find them either.

Is there a special program to decrypt the Rg file that I am not using? I thought the last file in the translation folder was suppose to replace the Rg file of the orignial?

Two methods to install:
Method one with manual extraction and overwriting:
(Look down at CTormaed's post)
Get that.
Use it to extract Game.rgss3a.
Move extracted files to game folder.
Rename/move/delete the Game.rgss3a
Overwrite those files that you moved into the game folder with the files from my 'latest translation.zip'.
Method two with RPGMaker Trans:
Install that. And run it.
Under 'Game Location' browse and select the game.exe in the untranslated game folder.
Check the create patch box.
Let it run till it finishes.
It should automatically extract the game folder and create two additional folders.
One that has _patch suffixed on the end of the original folder name and another that has _translated suffixed on.
Now download the patch.zip from the subfolder in my MEGA link.
Extract the patch folder from that and overwrite the patch folder in the _Patch folder.
Then rerun RPGMaker Trans and this time have rebuild patch checked.
This should patch the game with the translation patch.
Run the game from the _translated folder.

I would think that changing Locale under Keyboard and Region settings in the Control Panel would help (plus installation of the Japanese Language Pack). But if that doesn't work, then the best bet is to copy all of the scripts into one large text file in notepad and search from there.
