Ai and Spinalis both attack the slime, damaging it greatly as it feebly tries to attack the rope demon, having no luck.

"Finally some success.." Ai thinks as her blade connects with the slime's gelatinous body. Spinalis' success makes her even more relieved.
"One more of these and we'll clear out this battle" she says to Spinalis, swiping at the creature with her returning motion

Ai misses again, still feeling numb from when the slime was on her before, Spinalis however manages to hit the slime, weakening it even more. The slime again attacks Spinalis, seemingly hurting it as parts of the ropes that make up it's body erode.

Her return swipe missing the mark makes Ai grumble again, but Spinalis proves reliable as ever with its lash-hands wounding the slime to an inch of it's life. She's not excited about the creature hitting the rope demon with it's corrosive slime
"Don't you melt my friend, you nasty jelly!" she says in a loud voice as she attacks the slime and hopes to end this combat once and for all

Ai ineffectually attempts to hurt the slime, but finds that she can't. However, her rope pal buddy is able to hold it's own, destroying the slime before it can make any more progress damaging it.

Ai is left weak in the legs for a little while, but manages to recover before anything else happens. She's left with the choice between two doors.

Ai sits down for a while, to let her legs un-numb themselves. As she does so, she gives Spinalis a big hug.
"Thank you, couldn't have done it without you here" she says, giving a hearty smile to the rope demon.

As the feeling returns to her legs, Ai goes over to the left door.
"Don't want anymore slimes on me" she thinks, poking the door gingerly from a safe distance with her naginata

Ai hears the sound of a piece of metal sticking into wood. It seems that the left door was in fact, real, and not a slime. Opening it, she sees a spiral staircase heading downstairs.

Peeking to the other side of the door, Ai feels a sudden unease coming over her
"Stairs again.." With her previous experiences about stairs still clear in her mind, she starts to descend down the stairs, carefully poking at the steps to detect possible traps

Ai climbs down the stairs, the darkness making it hard to see. Eventually she finds her way down, ending in a small hallway. There's not much in the way of light, but she can tell that there seems to be a bunch of small side rooms down here, maybe cells? She hears muffled sounds coming from the hallway.

"Weird darkness-loving people here..." Ai thinks as she gets to the foot of the stairs. With the hallway opening in front of her now, she takes a peek at a side room, advancing cautiosly towards the curious muffled sounds she can hear in the distance
"They even have a dungeon..."

Ai makes her way down the hallway, Spinalis following behind her. She looks into the cells until she reaches the cell that it sounds like the sound is coming from. Taking a look inside, Ai can see what appears to be a girl bound up and gagged in the back of the cell.

Making her way down the hall, Ai reaches the source of the sound quickly enough.
"Is that her?" she thinks as she looks into the cell with the girl struggling inside. She carefully walks over to the girl.
"I'm here to get you out" she tells the girl in a calm voice

The girl seems to notice Ai, and starts shouting something loudly, muffled by the gag. She gets more frantic as Ai gets closer. Curious, Ai goes closer to see what she wants, finding out a moment later as a hidden door behind her slams down, sealing her in the cell with the bound girl. And unfortunately for Ai...Spinalis was outside.

"What are you afraid of? I'm here to get you out." Ai continues addressing the panicking girl as she gets closer to her. When the shutter slams down behind her, Ai realizes what she was getting at. She bangs on the door a bit, finding it a futile effort. Now separated from her ropey companion, Ai tries to release the girl before sitting down next to her.
"Looks like I'll have to wait again" she thinks, looking at the shutter

The girl gives Ai a little bit of an apologetic look. "Sorry...now you're trapped in here with me." She says, sighing a little.

"They probably know you're here now." She says."Who are you?"

Ai takes a look at her cell buddy before replying
"My name's Ai. I was supposed to get you out of this dungeon and back to your companions, but I'm not sure when that'll happen now..."

The girl mutters something to herself for a moment, looking down. But she tries to cheer herself up after a few moments. "...Thanks." she says. "I'm sure we'll get out of here before too long...I was getting tired of being tied anyways..."

Ai feels her harness move a little, it seems that even if the main body is cut off, it can still interact with her in some ways.

As her tight-fitting harness shifts in place, Ai feels an urge to warn the rope demon probably still stalking on the other side of the door. She gathers her thoughts, hoping she can communicate with her companion
"Spinalis, can you hear me? If you can't get the door open, try to hide. They'll most likely kill you if they find you wandering there." she thinks as she reaches for the rope underneath her robes

"Who're you talking to?" the girl asks. Ai can feel the ropes on her move as she hears the sound of shuffling on the other side, as if the demon were moving away, likely to hide.

"My companion, who's on the other side of the door. Looks like there's no way he'll get the door open, so I ordered him to hide in case somebody comes to see what the commotion is about"
