This is going off topic, but...

Why did immigration reject him? Was it that suspicious that an adult is taking art classes at a university in another country, as an international student?

I think it was more of a "where did his income come from? How did he end up with a bank account able to pay for this with no documented employment?" I don't think Patreon donations are thought of as a real income/job...but then, what about inheritances? Winning the lottery? Seems pretty petty...

They're having some international congress about social politics in Montreal, over 75% of applicants got rejected, even some high profile people.

I'll go on a limb and say immigration is just blocking everyone, for whatever reasons ..... Censoring myself to stay polite and not get banned over bitching about politics :/

That makes sense then - social politics and the international use of things like Patreon are like oil and water, I would think...

^ The 2 events aren't related at all. The only thing linking them is canadian immigration being a total bitch with everyone.

Double whine : WTF did Patreon do to their interface AGAIN ? Tiny little box on the left with meh details, nothing on the right anymore for the rewards/price tiers, cropped middle feed taking 1/3 total width instead of 1/2+ ...............

The rage is real, again.

sounds like patreon "home" page... it lists all creators you're supporting/following and in the middle all of their posts, right?

weird, looks same as always for me, even when using addresses from your screenshots... maybe you were chosen as a guinea pig for yet another patreon layout :p

I just clicked your Patreon link under your sig, it's a bit different than what was the "normal" layout and completely not what I get on Akabur's ...... Weirdnessception ensues.

Weird #2 : if I use my bookmarks, the layout is as linked above; if I type patreon.com/akabur, the layout is back to normal-ish ................ I R confuzzled

Apparently, if you click on "overview" in the top-mid, you get all the normal info [number of pledgers, total $ per month, what is random dude doing on Patreon, etc] albeit a bit reformated cause reasons. Now if you click on "posts" right next to it, you jumble upon my previous screenshots ..........

Why/when/how/wtf they did that with 0 info is beyond me. Or perhaps no one ever bothered to check what buttons do around a Patreon page and I somehow stumbled upon a random bookmark glitch that swapped around the "defaultly clicked" interface viewer and made a mess over nothing .........

Triple threat : Akabur posted some new sketches of L.O.L.A. for his new "Space Waifu" game.

Dunno why he scrapped version 1, she's good looking. Maybe not Lola-level-of-epicness but still fappable to.

threat? so akabur is threatening us with images now? And I wouldn't standing at the door at halloween if the kids say "Trick or Threat?!?"

If you're wondering what the F I am talking about:
Threat: Tell someone you want to hurt him/her.
Treat: Give something to someone.

Scroll back up/back a few pages and notice a pattern where I have to post/bump the thread : all of them have some random crap saying I'm double/triple posting.

Triple threat is an incredibly common term and incredibly neutral in tone. Way to be an aggressive asshole over literally nothing.

wow guys, wait just a sec.

I'm sorry if I read it completly wrong ok. Considering Akabur had made a few posts fairly quickly I thought Omnikuken just misspelled the word treat. and no, sonata-s, I did not know that triple threat was a common word, because I'm not a native English speaker. And my post was not meant to be a post of douchebaggery, but I guess the lack of either better wording of irony or added smileys would have helped make it look more like a joke than it ended up being.
