Neiomu nodded sheepishly, feeling somehow that his desire not to have visitors was somehow a bad thing just now. He didn't want to put her off!
However, her frank but kind assessment made him smile. "I don't like the illusion of being free that some people try to hide behind," he admitted, as dour as that sounded. Continuing wistfully, he added, "I wouldn't mind a real forest, though. I miss trees and sunlight."
Finding the source of that trickling water wasn't hard -- a simple cleft in the rock-face, some feet up from the side wall of the cavern gave way to a trickling waterfall which, after its lazy journey down, ended in a pool large enough for the dragon to soak, if he liked. The water there was chilly, though, not warmed enough to make more than the briefest of dips really acceptable.
