Neiomu nodded sheepishly, feeling somehow that his desire not to have visitors was somehow a bad thing just now. He didn't want to put her off!

However, her frank but kind assessment made him smile. "I don't like the illusion of being free that some people try to hide behind," he admitted, as dour as that sounded. Continuing wistfully, he added, "I wouldn't mind a real forest, though. I miss trees and sunlight."

Finding the source of that trickling water wasn't hard -- a simple cleft in the rock-face, some feet up from the side wall of the cavern gave way to a trickling waterfall which, after its lazy journey down, ended in a pool large enough for the dragon to soak, if he liked. The water there was chilly, though, not warmed enough to make more than the briefest of dips really acceptable.

"I can agree with both of those, even though I just got here," Alexis said. She walked over to the waterfall and reachered her hands towards it, letting the cold water wash over them. Cupping her hands she took a drink. "Mmmm..." It was refreshing after the everything that happened in Trefoil cavern, not to mention the long walk down here. As she drank, some of the water splashed on her. Not enough to make her indecent, but enough that she felt a little chilly. She laughed and turned her head to look at Nieomu, then asked, "Are you hungry?"

She moved over to the blanketed area while grabbing her bag. "I have to admit, I cheated and had a snack back in that other cave," she said with a wink and a grin, "but there's still enough in here for both of us to eat our fill."

His stomach grumbled probably as loudly as if he'd been in a draconic form. Neiomu, covering his stomach with both hands, asked, "does that answer your question?"

He settled on the edge of the piled up blanket while the woman fished in her bag for food, looking over her thoughtfully... and somewhat appreciatively, he wasn't going to fool himself even if it made his cheeks feel hot. He wondered if maybe it was time to give up on the self-imposed celibacy, at least for a little while. Alexis was nice, not to mention nice-looking. She was kind above and beyond what he expected from humans. She was small -- she wouldn't take up as much space as another dragon, which was always a bonus in his somewhat hermit-based outlook. And, under Falia's strange laws, if they were to have sex and Alexis did visit the earth demon, it would mean that Neiomu would have some time to himself on occasion, assuming she wanted to stay here.

Licking his lips to speak as she brought out several basic rations, he began, "Alexis, you can stay here if you want, for a while, I mean. There's other caverns if you find this place boring but... I don't want you to feel like you have to stay anywhere that you're not comfortable with..."

Alexis grinned as Nieomu began his nervous offer, then leaned forward, pressing her lips against his. As she kissed him softly she raised a hand to his cheek. She didn't hold the kiss long, and after breaking it, she looked him in the eyes and softly asked, "Does that answer your question?" She dropped her hand from his cheek then and leaned back, pulling the bag of food onto her lap. She opened it and showed him the contents, clearly offering what she had. If he was hungry for something else though, the look in her eyes would tell him that that was on offer as well.

The dragon leaned into the kiss, mouth still slightly open in surprise as she pulled away. Though Alexis had left the bag on her lap, he ignored it for now, intent entirely upon the woman who looked at him with that expression!

He leaned forward again, one hand coming to her cheek and the other to her waist. "It's been a while," he admitted, as if apologizing in advance, "stop me if... you know..." kissing her again, he enjoyed the feeling of her soft skin under his hands.

Balking for a moment, face crinkling up in embarrassed apology, the man never the less responded to her kiss and her touch. "It's a bad habit," he murmured, somewhat distracted by her soft hands.
