Emily went over and sat down on the couch that the maid was originally sitting down on. She stared at the ground hoping that Iris would be back soon. After a while she realized she needed to keep on going though. She just sat down staring at the ground with each passing minute her concern grew.

Meredith had had enough of the dark, musky basement and decided to go for its polar opposite, the roof. Hopefully there'd be sunshine and fresh air. Ah, she couldn't wait! She ran through the common hall and up the stairs quickly to the roof.

"Oh, fresh air!"

The blonde stretches her arms upwards and looks up to the sky, unaware of anyone else upon the roof at the moment.

The air feels good, and very refreshing as Meredith takes it in.

David, aware of her announced presence, says nothing as she enjoys the open air.

Meredith, still unaware of David, looks down from the rooftop only to see the monsters that she knew all too well. She shivered and decided to shake of the feeling with a vicious yell.

"All of you filthy creatures can die for all I care!"

She looks around herself in case there had been anyone watching her when she saw a sniper. She hadn't been planning on being seen doing this and so a slight blush tinted her cheeks. Yet she didn't mind. Instead, she gave a short wave to David and a weak smile. She wasn't in the best of moods but her condition was no worse than average.

Without looking at her wave, David said in response to what she shouted,

"Amen," as he took a shot at the monster below.

Meredith saw the man shoot and was amazed by his accuracy.

"Whoa! Is that kind of shot even normal? Was it lucky or are you just really good?

She then mumbles the next part

"Are all snipers this good?"

She quickly repossesses her train of thought and introduces herself.

"Anyhow, I'm Meredith and I thought it'd be a good idea to meet someone like you so that I've got someone covering my back."

The blonde grins at the man and begins to wonder how he had survived the attacks as a man.

David seems to blush a little at Meredith's comment about his abilities, but immediately returns to normal,

"Uh, yeah, it's always good to have someone you trust with you..." he says with uncertainty.

"That was the cue for your introduction... So where are you from? How'd you survive? Sorry if I'm a bit intrusive but you're one of the few people that I've actually talked to here."

Meredith look at the sniper intently with her eyes wide open, waiting patiently for a response.

David makes a gesture at Meredith to stop,

Caitlyn makes her way back out of Jesse's shop, her arm still around Claire.

"It was just an idea," she adds. "I didn't mean to pressure you about that. Besides, she might already be off doing something else; one thing you can say about this place is that there's pretty much no chance of boredom."

She smiles, thinking back to the scene that they had walked in on at Jesse's shop. I'm glad I managed to keep my cool, she thinks. Last thing I need is getting all excited and distracted before going out. . .

"Let's take a look and see who is around," she says, scanning the area for anybody else.

Claire hadn't fared quite so well; Jesse was a nice girl (or so she thought!) and the redhead had little experience with exhibitionism. She'd rather liked seeing the shop-keeper all red-faced and put-out like that. It didn't mean that she was planning on leaping Caitlyn, though she did squeeze the blonde a little closer as they wandered out of the closed shop. The woman had no idea that monsters were attracted more by scent than sight, or she'd be heading upstairs right now and scrubbing out good.

"I'll do you one better," Claire told the other woman.

Moving into the center of the lobby, she scanned the women wandering about and raised her voice, "may I have your attention?" asked she, apparently possessing a nice pair of lungs! "We're looking for a third to help gather supplies; step up if you're up for it, please! Thank you," she finished, patting her chest and clearing her throat as she returned her attention to Caitlyn.

"One doesn't get to use one's 'outdoor' voice a lot of the time," Claire mentioned, grinning.

Caitlyn winces when Claire shouts, but then laughs.

"That will probably work. . ." she smiles back.

Emily heard Claire's voice. She wasn't the type to just sit around and worry about someone. Slowly she got up from her seat. Before she walked over to them she had a request for the maid.

"If- I mean when Iris comes back tell her I went out to go help get this place some shit... Also tell her... I understand..."

She walked over to Claire a little too slowly. Sitting around staring at the ground wouldn't help Iris any and she could still do this place some good. Thinking about this her pace continuously sped up until she was walking normally.

"Hey I'll help you out but I recently learned that other woman are hoarding everything."
Her tone of voice was very plain.

"Other women?" Claire asked, wondering if Emily was talking about other women from the Inn, or the women mentioned on the mission board, or from something she hadn't heard about yet. She noticed that Emily was looking a little... off. Down, maybe -- and of course the only other times Claire had seen Emily was in the company of her friend.

Oh, maybe they'd had a quarrel. Deciding to keep her mouth shut, she glanced between Emily and Caitlyn. "Well, one way or the other, we're going to need more of everything over the next few days. I was mostly thinking clothes--" she grabbed a fold of her shirt and tugged, showing that it didn't quite fit right, "--but if we run across other supplies..."

Emily shook her head. She didn't know where to go to get any supplies. Asking David was her best bet and he could only tell her so much.

"By other women I meant some women that are... well from what I've heard and believe are hostile. I asked the sniper on the roof, David. Me and... some other girls took him from a mall. He said they took all his stuff and attempted to rape him. He told me they go around taking far too much supplies. Me and him think they are trying to lure us to them..."

Claire's brows climbed out of sight behind her bangs again. Well, now she knew why David had been so short-tempered and hard to crack, yesterday evening.

"Good God," she murmured, then more loudly, "this city has gone to Hell, after all. I thought that we were the only ones left."

Claire shook her head, unable to accept that surviving women would default to such horrible behavior. "Why would they be luring us? Or are they still after him?"

"Yeah, but most of the girls here have been at least ra..."

Meredith stops as she didn't want to blatantly state that she had been raped by a monster as well. It was somewhat embarrassing to state that she had lost to that one beast she had fought. The woman then wondered if this man hadn't had any problems with the things seeing as he was still intact.

"Has one of those things ever done anything to you?"

Meredith says this while facing the edge of the roof and looking up to the sky to avoid looking straight at the man.

Emily just crossed her arms over her stomach. She believed she knew what these women were trying to do. They were probably like the rest of the monsters in this city. Just in human form.

"You might not want to hear this... but at best they are going to use us as hostages against this Inn. At worst they are probably trying to make us their fuck toys."

"I'm not sure," Caitlyn shakes her head, "But that would explain who else has been out ther looting the stores." She grimaces, "The things that have happened. . . it's not hard to imagine how it could affect someone's mind. They may have just gone crazy or, potentially, they're being led by someone with a forceful personality who has snapped. A cult of personality based on promises of safety more than traditional propoganda."

She pauses and takes a brief look up the stairs towards the Director's room. "It's one of the reasons why I'm a little uncomfortable with the idea of so much power being held by just one person; especially when they weren't elected or anything." She shrugs, "But that's a discussion for later. Right now, Claire's absolutely right, we just need to make sure we don't run out of anything."

Emily sighed. She didn't mind being the bearer of bad news, but depending on how these girls react to the situation could make her regret it. Then she suddenly realized she didn't know their names and they didn't know hers. She was too distracted and didn't think about giving her name to them.

"Hey... if we are gonna go out together I think we should know each other names... I'm Emily."

She just kept her arms crossed around against her stomach. In a better situation she would probably smile and offer her hand but right now she was distracted.
