I wonder if it is possible to get Atlas on your PC nowdays. The v14 Trial Version is currently beeing updated by Fujitsu so you can not use it .:mad:

Do you guys have any idea of a workarround?:confused:

This probably isn't the right place, but I can help you out here, anyway. I ran into the same problem earlier this year, when I had to basically reinstall everything on my computer after having to do a format. I ran into a site that had a bundle for setting up Translation Aggregator that also included a copy of an older version of Atlas, so I've went ahead and uploaded it for anyone else who needs it. Unfortunately, I lost the bookmark to said site and can't properly give them credit for their work, but I'll be sure to do so if I find that info again. If you just need Atlas, you'll find it under the "To install" directory, but it also has just about everything you'd need to get Translation Aggregator working, if anyone else sees this and needs to set it up.

Thanks now it works.

However i have to say that i actually start to prever Google Translation instead of ATLAS/LEC Translator.

But you may Judge aswell

Here an example from ROBF EOY:
When Talking to a NPC at the Starting Area:

Japanese:
シュバルツバルド共和国の首都ジュノー
何よ！このノービスシールド装備できないじゃないの！不良品よこれ！

お客さん無茶言わないでくださいよそれ、初心者装備ですぜ…純粋なノービス以外は装備不可能なんですよ。

Google:
What!
Not it can not be this Novice Shield Equipped!
Defective this!

I Please do not tell the audience crazy it. beginner equipment...Other than pure Novice is the impossible equipment.

Atlas:
What.
This no machine Screw shield cannot be equipped.
Defective goods are these.

Giving is it. and beginner equipment with guest unreasonable remark [wanai]
...It is not possible to equip it excluding a pure no machine screw

LEC:
What!
I can be equipped with this novice shield!
Be elaborate a defective article!
It is visitor [ Couple of Japanese signs ]:confused:. the beginner equipment.


So if i had to Rank those 3 Translators i would say:

3) LEC definetly the worst. :(

2) Atlas better than LEC but still a couple of not understandable words [ May have better arrangement of words however ] :)

1) Google :D


What do you guys think?
Or was it a bad example and it depends on the Sentence`?:rolleyes:

Is google still doing only a limited number of translations they do before you get a temp block? I definitely agree that google does a better job making things understandable, but last I knew there wasn't a work-around for that limit, so I've been using Atlas since it can do more than 2 minutes of gameplay without crapping out for a few hours (making it vastly superior to google's better translations). It has been a bit since I've looked into it though.

HAd the same problem with chiitrans.
However with Visual Novel Reader the Problem is gone ( VNR is better than Chiitrans anyway)

What the heck! I can't even equip this novice shield, CAN I!? It's defective!

Please be reasonable, dear customer. That's equipment for beginners... only pure novices can equip it, see.

Did you just make a (meaningful) sentence from the Translations or do you actually know japanese?:eek:

If the later than you should translate games :p

I can read moonrunes, yes.

Unfortunately, I suck at programming. Plus, well, my spare time is usually sucked up translating manga and doujins, so there's that.

I just like to point out that the quality of a atlas translator translation is based on two things most of the time.
1, the dictionary/ies used
2, the settings applied

sory for fishing out this thread but i was wondering if anyone could install atlas_trial properly... i tried to install the trial but the setupwizard seem bug... i did change the date b4 dec2010.. still stuck on install setup
