Grabbing the first bag and dumping its contents onto the floor, a small mass of tendrils drop to the floor. Before Ava has the opportunity to back away, one reaches out and slaps her in the lower leg. Letting out a yelp, she backs away, pondering what to do next.

Well then was a bad idea...

Deciding it was probably better to leave those bags undisturbed from now on, Ava quickly begins making her way towards the staircase, hoping to escape the tendrils before it became aware...

Ava quickly runs up the staircase and, to her relief, the tendrils are too slow to follow. However, her relief quickly turns to fear and anger when she sees a heavy metal door close at the bottom and top of the stairs trapping her inside. Moments later, a large glod of slime drops down form an air vent, sloshing on the ground near her. "Welcome to your first true test! I hope you enjoy, hahahahaha." She hears a distorted voice say though a PA system. Without an escape, she has little choice.

Letting out a roar in frustration, Ava swings her improvised weapon at the slime, hoping to splat it apart.

Ava quickly closes the gap between her and the slime. She swings with all her strength at the slime, though the slime slides under her attack and slams into her shins. Looking down to her fear and surprise, a large portion of the slime has molded itself around her legs, immobilizing her. before she can react, the remainder flings itself on her, knocking her off balance. Reeling from the strange counterattack, she wonders what she'll do next.

Struggling wildly against the slime, Ava attempted to get away from it, trying to force her way out with brute force.

Ava shoves her club into the slime, hoping to get some sort of leverage against the floor below, after a few moments prying, she is able to get a large chunk of the slime off, though she is by far not out of the woods yet.

Continuing her efforts, Ava tries to remove the slime again from her legs, pry, striking out, whatever seemed plausible...

Ava again plunges her club into the slime that is still around her legs. This time she is able to pry the vast majority off of her legs. Taking the initiative, she quickly smashes the larges clump of slime into a million pieces. They slime dissolves into the ground and the door at the top of the stairs opens. "Good, Good" the voice says over the PA. Ava walks out of the stairwell and sees a sign that says "B-4" in front of her. She walks out into a hallway and sees that it travels to the south and there is a door to her west.

Deciding that she needs a moment to catch her breath, Ava took a seat along the edge of the hallway, trying to get some rest before proceeding.

Taking a 10 minute break, she sits down in the corner of the hallway and collects her thoughts. Who is this Dr D? What does he want? Why are all the people here so hostile? Calming herself over her trials so far, she feels refreshed and ready to continue her journey.

Ava enters what appears to be a large storage closet filled with medicines of some kind. Looking around she notices bottles of a few medicines she has heard of, but most of the labels to her are foreign. There is a single, large cabinet in the very back of the room, straddled on both sides byt shelves full of the bottles of medicine.

Starting with the cabinet, she opens it to find a bottle of chloroform. Taking it she also finds a small backpack to carry the bottle. Reading the bottle it says, "For all those pesky subjects that won't sit still, try CHLOROFORM, the Evil Scientist's choice since 1847."

(If you have a enemy on the ground the Chloroform will immediately knock them out.)

Looking under a couple shelves she feels a tug on her leg, she turns around to see what looks like a robotic spider about 2 feet tall and it has grabbed her by the ankle! Spinning around as best she can, she assess the situation

Letting out a groan to express her annoyance, Ava begins an attempt to pry off the spider robot, so as to have a better chance to smash it with her weapon.

Ava whacks the metal claw with her club, PAAAAANG! The sound of metal on metal is surprisingly loud, but it is enough for the creature to let go.
