Story
Kira Kade, a 26-year-old investigator, arrives in the mountain town of Velmoor to find out why women keep disappearing. She questions the townsfolk, follows clues and dodges the patrols, but some of the town's "opportunities" are traps, and one mistake can change her story for good. The trail leads to Dr. Holm and his Institute on the hill, and then to the Casino Nocturne.
Type of game
Top-down pixel-art investigation RPG with turn-based combat. You explore the town, talk to people, take jobs, buy gear and follow the clues.
Objective
Find out what is happening to the missing women. Chapter 1 follows the trail from the town to the Holm Institute; Chapter 2 continues inside the Casino Nocturne.
Main mechanics
- Turn-based combat where enemies can hypnotize Kira: every spiral that lands pushes her one step closer to a trance.
- Corruption and conditioning that change her face, her outfit, her thoughts and how the town treats her.
- Jobs, deals and shortcuts around town, many of which are traps.
- Several bad endings (5 in Chapter 1), each with its own way out... or not.
- Chapter 2: a night casino with original games, a singer and a musical escape minigame.
How the H-content is accessed
Through normal play: being hypnotized or beaten in combat, accepting the town's offers, raising her corruption and conditioning, and reaching the bad endings. Scenes use CG illustrations and animated pixel sprites.
