Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Mighty Queen of the Great Northern Snow Foxes, I do not know of the topic on which you inquire about. I must profess my complete and total ignorance Royal Almighty Snowfox. he said, sounding entirely serious which only made it more rediculous as he bowed allll the way out of the room.

Dillian had moved to the table, and to Tams awe and possible horror, he DID have a boner! He's more turned on by Bacon then by me?! she cried sounding a little incredulous at which point he completely lost his composure in a might fit of laughter that left him leaning on the table. Christine. Can I hahaha Can I ha o god it hurts.... I'm gonna fuck the otter after lunch... So she doesn't feel bad about the bacon. he finally managed to gasp out as he sat down.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Still giggling, Christine shakes her head and digs into the food. "As long as you two play nice with each other and don't cause property damage, I don't really care WHAT you do to each other."

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

That line only made her wonder what Lillith was going to do to her tonight... Damnit.

Nodding at that everyone ate the foods and felt pretty good about life. And Dillian looked at Tam. Go find some toys. I need to practice how to use them all so when Christine finally wants me again I can impress. he said, Tam snickering before going to grab LITERALLY EVERYTHING out of the toydrobe and dropping it on the bed with a clank. Well, there day was planned out.

Ashlie went to sleep, cos she'd already had a rough day. What Christine wanted to do was up to her again it seemed, save for the resin suit she'd brought back trying to slip onto her, inching across the floor and using thin tendrils to try and slip onto her body.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Yawning after the meal, Christine settles down to watch what's going to happen until she notices the suit trying to get on her. Gently pushing the suit away, she decides that she'd probably have enough of that sort of things tonight and heads to the library, poking about and searching for some light reading to pass time.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Pushing the suit away, she saw it sulking before it pulled in on itself and did something very interesting. It turned into a cat made of that same Resin. Well.... Umm. What?

It followed her to the Library just as Dillian actually started practicing with all the gear, instead of just using that as an excuse, with Ashlie showing him what certain things were because in honesty, sometimes a collection of straps made no sense.

She found the library was Not empty, instead a friend she'd made here leaning back in a recliner, a suit of bone white armor waving at her as she walked in, it's face no longer blank but showing a large curling mustache embossed in the bone and two forever smilling eyes. Nishtahanakares. Or Nakar if she was feeling lazy.

Hello there my moonlight dancer. Is all well? It is the true night where no moonlight falls, once every 4 months. The only time the dances stop. so here I am Enjoying a rest. Nakar explained smoothly, while her resin cat leapt up into his lap and he laughed, stroking it, which caused it to actually purr and curl up in his lap. A dark Familiar. Interesting... A freewandering soul drawn into an available body. They usually come to me or Grace. And find a Skeleton or a Flower. This one found you... he mused while Christine found a million and one simple books to enjoy.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Wondering about the...thing, Christine goes to the library anyway, and finds the armour there as well. "Hello Nishtahanakares. I seem to have a knack of attracting followers. Can it do useful things other than shapeshift?"

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

It most certainly can my Fox of Bones, apart from being good company, it is drawn to magic in tune with that of it's Chosen. Unlike a normal familiar the bond is involuntary, it's like being haunted. But for those that have one, they are basically magical bloodhounds, leading to spells, artifacts, curios, that match the magical rhythm of their chosen. For those with the foresight to delve Carefully and Selectively into what the familiar can find, they are an incredible boon. For those Foolhardy they are catastrophic spirits of Disaster. Simply a little care and you will find... Him, to be both useful and good company. They are created in this world by the loneliness of a wandering soul, as they cannot interact with the living normally. When that desperation for companionship reaches a certain threshold, a spirit has 3 choices. Move on to the other life, Give up, and become linked to the world, the rebirth cycle if you will, or Choose to accompany a living soul. Become a Familiar. All it will ever ask of you, is that you occassionally give it the most basic of attentions, A stroke, a pat, maybe even just let it be an ear to listen. They are very tragic creatures, in a way. Nakar said softly, continuing to stroke the cat.

I would see having a knack for such a thing as a Blessing. No one truly realizes the pain of loneliness until they are completely without companionship, and find that need rejected. My dancers... were such beautiful people, and later spirits once. Now.... Now even with the music they play, it is disheartening at times to know we cannot speak as we once did. One day the Dance will come back to life as it used to be, and I will sing, as well as dance among my fellows. As you danced with me, Fox of Bones. He said wistfully, tilting his head while the cat rolled over for a bellyrub, which he was happy to provide.

But as you have asked a question, I would have one answered in turn. Do you miss your old life? he asked her bluntly, likely his sampling of her energies telling him clearly she was not of his world.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

"Another lost spirit, then. I'll be sure to be careful." Christine replies, considering the words as she watches the cat. "Hmm? Oh. I miss my family, and my friends. And it was certainly... easier, in many ways. And less painful. But... Here, I can use magic. And earlier I saved two children from slavery. How could I possibly regret choosing this over a lifetime of mediocrity?"

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

No magic, and Mediocrity, in exchange for comfort. What an odd thing to say. Friends and Family certainly, those bonds... they never really fade. But Pain and Pleasure, both in equal measure, lead to growth. Power leads to Wisdom, and Wisdom keeps your heart true. It's all one great dance. he said, gently nudging the cat towards Christine, upon which it bounded into her lap and mowed at her, tilting it's head. After a pet or a pat, or even just a word, it would mow again, and then leap onto the table and to the bookshelves, before returning with a tome.

Care and Caution. What has your familiar brought to you? Nakar mused, seeming to be grinning despite the mask. Whatever the cat had found would be in tune with Christine's magic. That of the Cold and the Wind. And the terrible illusions such flurries could weave.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Christine's ears twitch as the cat jumps into her lap, and she scratches it behind the ears briefly before it leaps off. Seeing that it returns with a book, Christine smiles and picks up the book. "Good kitty." Carefully examining the tome, she wonders if it would be a good idea to open it.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

The tome is big and heavy and bound in something suspiciously reminiscent of human flesh instead of leather...

The title says "1001 ways to start an ice age for no decent reason" Rawr kitty mow mow doesn't seem to know the difference between one magic item and the next, only if it's something Christine could theoretically use. Like a cat bringing a bird to the door to show it loved her. She could eat that bird.... but she didn't really want to.

Your cat seems to have an interest in apocalyptic events. Nakar said with a chuckle.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

"Well, it could be interesting, at least." Christine says, putting down the book with only a hint of regret and starting to pet the cat.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

The End Times are always interesting. The restart even more so. The trick is surviving the middle part. Nakar said while the cat graced Christine with the privelege of rubbing it's tummy by rolling over and just being adorable and affectionate.

It wasn't even molesty. Actually so far a cat made of Tree Gism was the most tolerable in public.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Christine laughs at Nakar's comment while bellyrubbing the cat. After a while, she stands up and goes to put the book back on the shelf. "So what have you been reading?"

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Just a little bit of history. It's incredibly soothing. Nakar said while she put the book back. When he wasn't fuckdancing with her he was fairly pleasant company.

Only HER friends were crazy it seemed. Or she was the crazy one.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

"I can see that." Christine replies, looking around for the shelves that would house trashy romance novels or their local equivalent.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

She found what she sought, trashy romance, crappy fiction, it was god awful and therefore exactly what she wanted.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Finding what she was looking for, Christine picks a book at random and settles down in a chair near Nakar, starting to read.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

The book is deliciously terrible in every sense of the road full of kitties and rainbows and pirates and random spontaneous badly written sex at the worst possible logical moments, Naka reading silently while the cat just perched on her lap and curled up comfortably. Everyone was happy, nothing bad happened, no one did anything perverted, unless you counted reading a trashy romance novel, and life continued.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Christine spends hours letting her brain rot until she realizes that dinnertime is probably approaching. Putting the book away, she bids Katar good night before heading back to her rooms.
