TBH I really don't like where the game is headed. It's going to come to a point that if your deck isn't exclusively mythic rares it won't even be close to competitive.

Sure it's a little expensive to pull off but short of your opponent having player hexproof (which almost nobody fields) you've got some really oppressive board control mid-late game (where it counts). Just keep cycling the dread drones in/out of the graveyard with champion of stray souls, deathfang takes care of the rest. They get any removal and figure out which creature to kill/exile first? Just sac it yourself (in case of exile) and put it on top of your library during their endstep (though mill is pretty rare too).
