Sprig, you skipped a couple of numbers, there. :p

Hai guise!

Re: Countdown from 1,000,000

980 231... for the first time... again.

So I crunched a few numbers, and depending on how you calculate things, we should reach zero sometime in the 24th century. Somehow I don't see modern medicine keeping us alive for quite that long, but you never know. Maybe one of us will get frozen for a few centuries then unfrozen close to completion. OR perhaps our distant descendents will finish the countdown for us, someday.

You never know.

That depends on if any of us are robots or programs. This is the internet after all, none of us could be flesh and blood! I could even be a sentient virus thinking about all the yummy cookies that all your computers have and licking my lips on the thought of nomming on them! Or I could just be a geek that reads too much comics and plays too many games for his age. One of two~

If there were bots involved we'd be done by now.

And yeah, I did the numbers too. This site will be shutdown before we get even 1/10th of the way

Yeah, Sprig, if you're a program, I think you'd have better backward-counting skills. :p

And if any two of us were bots, this would definitely be over. Within a few months, tops, assuming that it takes more than a few seconds between posts.

Then is valid to hack this to end the count?

Hrm. I don't think it matters either way. Without hacking, I doubt we'll ever finish this in our lifetimes. But if we hack it, then it ceases to have any meaning.
