Allow me to explain :).

I was making a joke about a release date for a game ppl were interested in and I don't think my sense of humour was welcome there. I swear it's nothing bad. I only said. What are you on about it's out already :p lol. To the best of my ability, I tried to make it obvious that it was a joke. But I have no hard feeling against them :)

Have some ups. Sometimes people down vote for the pettiest shit.

I once got negrep for congratulating people on page 100 in a thread. The negrepper claimed there were only 50 pages. I'm not even sure how that's physically possible.

That's awesome of you! I am not sure how to give ppl rep but i want to back because you seem really canny. And yeah I know but hey what can you do? lol. Oh and that reason is worse than I explained. Damn... Over number of pages too.

It's in the upper-right corner of a post, the scales just to the left of the red boardered triangle, there you can choose whether to give out negative or positive rep. They won't actually do anything if you've got red rep, which my +rep should have taken you out of, though.

And yeah, there are alot of high rep power users that will neg you for either nothing, or something that's entirely opposite from what they've stated.

They went after pretty much anyone that said something they didn't find perfect. Tried helping the MnF crew out, but I just didn't and unfortunately still do not have enough rep power (In case someone doesn't know, the more rep you have the more you can give out, postcount and length of time registered also increase rep power) to counter theirs.
