Dlsite forced change

Just another reason to push hentai lover to use VPN when there already way too much reason to count for using one ?

The more I'm saying how Human actually think and act, the more I'm surprised at how much the H-work character seem smarter than most of real humanity .....

I swear, Bryanis, every single time I see you post it has to include something about you hate humanity. Could you please keep that to yourself? Not everyone is a doomsayer like yourself nor do we care to hear about it.

About DLSite, I too have noticed that it does this whole redirect thing. I use another site out there that "shares" a lot of stuff that comes out and that's the whole point of the site. And often times it includes links to the source, which is about 80% DLSite and oftentimes it takes me back to the main page. And it does seem like the "AI art style" games do seem to be the majority of the games it does this for, based on thumbnails.

And I'll probably just repeat what a lot of people have said already: AI is probably getting this treatment because let's face it, anything generated by AI is reusing and repurposing existing content, which means it's stolen and likely violating copyright in some way, shape, or form.

I'm kinda wondering if there's some sort of simple anti-redirect extension for browsers so we can easily avoid this issue.

I'd assume not, since I'd take a guess and say it's a server-side redirection any time there's a "wrong" IP asking for a page.

If it's really that much of a problem for you; use the ignore function to never see their posts again.

other than the forbooks website and the point market website is there any other options to buy dlsite points overseas?
as this website called otaku mode had points and fantia toracoin at one point but now it does not as both pages give 404 not found error page.
asking as since the ability to buy points from otakumode and dlpay is not available , seeking other options.
would anyone be able to test if the point market amazon pay payment method works?
would someone here be able to test that method using the type of gift cards that are one time use or reloadable like the visa/mastercard prepaid or reloadable cards that are at stores?

Apparently there is an ongoing technicable problem with some point buying site. So, wait a few day for DLsite's update on the subject.
After that, if the usual site are definatly not working anymore, you either will have to buy point through 3rd party, or use some VPN and other cheat like tool to be able to buy point from the other reselling site who only sell to asia / JP resisent...

Concerning the Dlpay problem, I just got this message drom Dlsite :

Thank you for using DLsite.

We apologize for the delay in informing you, but as of September 12th, 2024, DLpay.com is temporarily unavailable. Currently, we are unsure when service will resume.
We apologize for the inconvenience.

Here at DLsite, we've been working on ways to make life easier for those of you located overseas.
One of those is setting things up so you can purchase DLsite points via online retailer "For Books" using your credit card.
1 DLsite point is equivalent to 1 yen and can be used to buy anything on the site.

For Books

We hope you find it helpful.
We'll continue to work on adding more ways to pay in the future.

So, another site that work (at the moment) to buy code card to redeem point. Seem you need to create an account to check all the paiement option (which I've yet to do).

Hmm, at about the same time DLSite added a Currency option, wonder if they are related.

does anyone have any expierence or is aware of this website when try to access it , the site just redirects to forbooks.
is points market and the other sites listed on this page aside from the currently down dlpay and forbooks usable for anyone outside of japan/taiwan/asia?
as from what i can tell so far the only site that has worked so far for me is forbooks and previously dlpay as i dont live in asia.
does the site seagm have dlsite points? or did they have them at some point? or is seagm only for toracoin?
is seagm the only place for toracoin? anyone here able to find any other ways to get toracoin safely?

Anyone use Forbooks? I had only just started buying points through paypal at the start of the month or so and then that got shut down- not for the first time apparently I've learned- and I'm just wondering how trustworthy the other provided methods are

Well, at the moment, it's basically the only one that ain't "Japanese IP" or "Asian IP" region locked.

I've use it once, and it worked without problem.

It is increasingly clear that Paypal has unilaterally given up doing business with DLsite for reasons which will not be publicly disclosed. That's why DLsite is relying on Amazon Pay or the new Forbooks option discussed here. Forbooks is based in Japan (office near Akihabara) so DLsite have opted with a no profile Japan 3rd party vendor with international credit card access to cater to its remaining international buyers who aren't pirating 18+ products.

As for Amazon Pay, it's not available worldwide but it is nominally independent from the usual credit card providers. Although based outside Japan, the main reason to use it in place of Forbooks is the conversion rate from Amazon Pay is 1 to 1 unlike Forbooks which has a tax of JPY500 on top of whatever charge value there is. Given the choice, Amazon Pay is preferred for however long the arrangement lasts (if Amazon decide to cut ties with Dlsite for the same reasons as Paypal and the international credit card merchants then Forbooks likely will be the only option for non-Japanese DLsite consumers for the foreseeable future).

For those that still need help getting Tora Coins for Fantia and the like, a good alternative is and (NOT Bitcoin, and NOT Bitcoin Cash).

For those wondering, BitCash IS NOT a crypto, it's basically just a JP exclusive reloadable credit or points card that has 1:1 yen value. They've been around since 1997 so they're relatively stable as far as online vendors go.

You can just use the BitCash reload codes by themselves, but I would suggest making a BitCash account just so you can keep better track of your points if you aren't planning on spending them all in one purchase. If you have a JP email and a JP Ph# though you can load the account directly with your CC.

can the bitcase for fantia toracoin be purschased from the bitcash website? or is the seagm site required in this process?

does this seagm site have complications with mastercard like the forbooks website and point market site has?

as i notice the mastercard seems to have a somewhat high failure rate "card declined" on the forbooks and point market , so i was wondering could someone here try out a master card and a visa on the seagm to see if one or the other have complications?

as on me end the site wont let me in , so i am currently unable to test it out myself.

so at this time the only method of buy toracoin is the seagm through use of bitcash?

is anyone here able to try paypay with toraonoana/fantia to buy toracoin that way?

I have used a VISA on both ForBooks and SeaGM with no issues, though I'm using a Canadian CC. I've found Mastercard to always be a bit dodgy when it comes to international purchases which is why I try to stick with VISA most of the time.

You can load points directly from the BitCash site but you must verify a JP ph# and/or a JP email (ie. @docomo,jp, etc) first.

Like above, I've been using Visa on 'For Books' and haven't had issues so far. I remember I did try with Master once during my very first purchase and it worked fine as well.

For SeaGM, they have different service charges for each payment method during checkout. I'm from SEA so in my purchases I've only been using online bank transfer as the charges are a flat rate while others like card payment are a percentage of the total amount. But for other regions, that won't be an option unfortunately.
