Dragon Ball? :D

Re: Dragon Ball? :D

Maybe to you, but the only time I have EVER even considered FEAR series entertaining was watching my drunken stoned friend play... He was already paranoid... "Am I falling out out of this chair?" Blitzed out of his mind...

"Ah, the fucking light jumped at me! Didn't you see the line?"

Lolwut?

But anyways,

Flickering lights, blood stainy words on the wall... Both games have that...

Big difference between the two would be one game's enemies are dumb psuedo navy seal looking guys with glowing red eyes and stealth technology...

As opposed to a human mutated into a blade swinging limb rending lumberjack from another hell planet...

End of game boss?

A little girl ghost... That ripped Eves incineration on proxy abilty from Parasite Eve that you can somehow beat by unloading two clips of submachine gun on...

The other? The wormlike creature from the Core of the planet that WILL eat you rip you to pieces or simply smash you to paste and only has timed weak points... All the while a sizable chunk of the planet is falling down from orbit to add a sense of impending doom

So overall maybe it could be considered more an action game (Technically all shooters are action games too though...Unless its a rail shooter...) than FEAR but its just got more to it... More grusome scenes, Less predictablity... Oh look another mission... How are my new teamates gonna die this time and leave me stranded and alone yet again... Better weapons in Dead Space... To dismember is to remember! Better enemies for sure... Except maybe the ridiculously funny Kamikaze bomb armed Necromorphs... (For Allah! What? you shot my arm/bomb off? Fuck!) And about a hundred different gore strewn death scene animations... Instead of just one...

Re: Dragon Ball? :D

And DooM 4 will probably be great too! I know I'm looking forward to it =)

I loved D3

Anyone played that weird Clive Barker's: Jericho game that somehow I had three years before its scheduled Bestbuy release date?

Re: Dragon Ball? :D

Jericho was pretty shit to be honest. Sure it had "pretty" scenery, but the gameplay was shite.

Re: Dragon Ball? :D

Yeah but I was commenting on how everyone had there fingers jammed so far up there asses that I had the game a full three years before retailers even could attain rights to advertise on there sales sites...

Let alone find a FAQ on gamefaqs or something...

I mean I've had it for a while..

Re: Dragon Ball? :D

So, you illegally aquired a game three years before it's release? How...

Re: Dragon Ball? :D

Ironically? Wallmart game bins... Never know what you'll find...

I got a game from the future... Literally!

Re: Dragon Ball? :D

But... that makes zero sense. I've never heard of a game taking three years after completion of development to being released. Never mind getting it in a bargain bin with the box...

Re: Dragon Ball? :D

EXACTLY!

How did it get there?
Why did I check the bin so thoroughly?
Why buy that game?

Why take so long to actually release the finished game after I had bought it?

Like a Clive Barker book right there...

Re: Dragon Ball? :D

Indeed, what system?

Re: Dragon Ball? :D

So you managed to get a game for the 360 before the 360 was even out... wow. I applaud you.

Re: Dragon Ball? :D

Not really Sin there are any number of reasons why a completed game or movie can be shelved after its finished. As for advertising, I saw a reveiw of that game in gamers edge and another on that one g4 show.

Re: Dragon Ball? :D

Well... Three years may be slightly exaggerated, but not by much... But I bought it before Halo 3 came out for crissakes and I went to the midnight release to that!

It doesn't happen often... and even if it was, why would there be production into making a box and disk to throw in a bargain bin?

Halo 3 came out the month before Jericho. But excuse me for not believing that there would be zero rights to advertising a product a single month before its release, especially after I'd been following it's development for a little over a year.

Re: Dragon Ball? :D

one word: recall

Re: Dragon Ball? :D

After reading your edit I don't either, and have to agree with you, it makes no sense.

Re: Dragon Ball? :D

I dunno its something I just always found wierd, cause I couldn't find any information on it for a whole year after I bought it, and then it began to show up in stores...

Re: Dragon Ball? :D

It wasn't popular, because it was pretty crap, so it didn't stick on shelves very well cause it didn't sell.

and it being crap annoyed me to no end because I had really been looking forward to it.
