Agreed. It's a huge difference in visual style, from totally jp to western. Can't say I don't like it, but it sure is unexpected after Illusion.

I just wish mc's breasts were a bit bigger (not aload, but a bit).

Her titties is one of the best aspects of the game! Beach massage scene with a bigger ones wouldn't feels the same.

Overall I really appreciate Valentina's character design. The size of her breasts work out really well to help sell both her innocence and corruption: They're not too big for an innocent character and they're not too small for a corrupted character.

Visually, I don't mind the DAZ3D render on Dyn's patreon page, I also don't mind the SBPR scenes.

Overall I really appreciate Valentina's character design. The size of her breasts work out really well to help sell both her innocence and corruption: They're not too big for an innocent character and they're not too small for a corrupted character.

Taking away case of people that just like big breast, I am getting a feeling that some devs just want to avoid "problems", because from what I am hearing: small tits = loli. Especially with constant nagging that "she is 18, legal I tell you!". If it was me, I would just write "All characters are of legal age.", as for specific number, check legal age of your country xD

I wouldn't mind 3DCG as much if most of those didn't feel like empty dolls. Those poses, scenes, looking like there is no force behind any movement or interaction. For this I would blame person that is creating poses for those models.

About the jogging pose ... I didn't think it was that bad! Haha. Oh well, I tried. For most of the poses, I take one of the built in poses of SBPR and modify them to my tastes. However there is no running or jogging pose, so that one was from scratch ... and you see the result lol. Running animations are hard

I get the feeling I may be right.
And same goes for drawing, without studying poses irl and how body works it just doesn't look right.
Though, I assume that any poser-like software does have simple bone structure, I wouldn't be so sure about muscle contraction/relaxation and stuff.

And looking at CG of Valentina's jogging... It's more of a weird march than jog

But understanding and knowing how body should act/look isn't easy and requires time and some kind of topic study. And yeah, poses in motion are hard in general
Then again, Rome wasn't built in one day, not everything at once.

Alright! Sorry for the late reply, my nose has been to the grindstone between my normal job, Valentina's Story, and trying to learn Daz3d for a potential future project ...

Haha, I thought I scared everyone off the thread. Fortunately, my grindstone called too, so I haven't had much time to worry about it. For the sake of brevity, I will also try to limit my replies to expanding on your replies.

I've been thinking of a day-time room masturbation scene but I want to make it different. Maybe you'll be able to buy a vibrator.

That could follow an escalation. Fingers, dildo, vibrator. That could also connect either to your brother story arc or your father story arc.

I'm toying with the idea of adding a love interest ... maybe a boyfriend from high school where in the game intro you select whether or not Val is still with him...

I think there's something to be said for Valentina having no history of a boyfriend. It amplifies that descent from innocence into corruption that you've already setup so well. If you were to develop a "vanilla" relationship, I'd recommend having it start after the beginning of gameplay (Valentina can choose a boyfriend, perhaps selecting from already established characters?). You could also setup their story arcs differently, with one boyfriend tending to corrupt Val, another boyfriend may be corrupted by Val. There's lots of room to explore themes here, I just recommend keeping her not only a virgin, but in the dark about relationships in general at the beginning of your story.

As far as locations go: I want the bar to be an early-ish accessible job so that the player has another major work option than the beach cafe. One that has just a little bit of actual game play to. The other work locations will come into play at lower shame values.

As the thugs observed, Val is becoming comfortable with the idea of using her body to make money. That could certainly be capitalized on in gameplay by exposing new sources of revenue.

So my current idea to fix the magazines is:

1. Lower the prices significantly
2. Possibly limit the number you can purchase per day, or make it so you can only read a book before bed.
3. Add Shame purchase requirements to the more explicit materials
4. Add tiers of Shame where the mag has an effect. For example, the Romance Story won't affect Val's shame unless it's 90 or more. Or the effect is lowered, preventing the player from buying 100 cheap romance books and grinding to zero shame.

Point for point:

1. It makes sense to lower the prices significantly if the items are still single use. If possible, it may make sense to drop the prices slightly and change the items to multi-use, with an effective limit of one use per day. I don't know of many people who throw out a pornographic magazine once they're done with it. Unless... eeeww.
2. I like the idea of allowing Val to read these books anywhere. Imagine her slipping one into her history textbook and reading it during Knight's class. Informative AND stimulating (especially if you include the option to masturbate a little). Now imagine her getting caught.
3. I personally have too much shame to buy pornographic magazines from a convenience store, so I already thought there were shame requirements to purchase the more explicit items. /shrug
4. Haha, yeah! If Val is comfortable fucking pervert strangers in a subway car, I doubt that a romance novel is going to hold her interest. That would also help to nullify the advantage of multi-use items if you want to go that way.

As you've already mentioned, one big concern you're going to have moving forward is your availability to work on all of this. I was reluctant to brain dump because I think having too many different directions to go at once can hamper creativity (especially if they're coming from someone else). Pick and choose what you want to implement first, and go for it. Quality over quantity.

She's legal? That almost sounds like denial to me "All characters are of legal age." *SHOULD* work just as well as anything else you could say. I'm pretty sure the actual depictions will say more than anything else when dealing with 3d renderings like this.

It could also be an issue of rigging. Since this project's pre-release, I've been dusting off my knowledge of 3d modeling (Mithos56's project is another major inspiration for me) and remembering just how much work goes into it.

The problem I have with this however, is that because this is a corruption style game, I feel like most people wouldn't be interested in a vanilla love route.

I'd be psyched to see a game that handled "couple enjoys corrupting each other but stays in love with each other". Doesn't have to be your game, obviously

Not sure if mentioned but: Once you begin cosplay route, you can no longer go get morning paper for Mom on Sundays. I loved the cute innocence of that and would've enjoyed if you could go do those events more (with more scenes added!), either throughout the week or allowed to do it on Sundays before going to cosplay contest (or both?).

I'm pretty sure you can still do it after the current end of the Sam story arc.

Dynamite, found a possible bug in the nudity pageant (at the house party): If Val approaches her pageant position from the left side (instead of from the top), it will face her left when she should be facing up (the 180 degree turn) with the rest of the girls.

And a typo: Man in front of hospital in the daytime says, "Gah! I hate hospitals! Well the hell is my ride home!" I'm guessing this should be "Where the hell is my ride home!"

I skipped the whole thread because I'm trying to avoid any spoilers until I get done with the current version of the game.

I only saw a few post here and there. So here are some comments on those, sorry if others have discussed this at length.
I love the art, keep at it, you don't need to do like everyone else. It actually makes the game feel more unique.
The game isn't hard, people who can't figure anything out might not be exploring possibilities enough. I was able to continually find new things. I did miss the bathroom with Zach.

Making money is a bit of a grind, but does add to the games length and help make things more gradual.

Love the horny system.

I'm impressed with this first release, there's actually a crazy decent amount of content.
This is one of the better adult games being made, keep up the great work.
(not a fan of pee, but all the rest so far is fine, but that's just me.)

1) skip school and have her... "punished" by the principal or counselor once her shame is low enough
2) skip the school day if there are no mandatory events.

That's a fantastic idea, the school's dean would be the perfect person for her to interact with over this. This should also fit in well with the intended sandbox nature of this game.

Dynamite: I did another play-through, here's a few more ideas.

*SPOILER ALERT*

Give Valentina some source of income before her first day of classes. I was thinking maybe $10 from her mother if she talks to her on the first day before she leaves the house. That would let players optionally accelerate certain story arcs without an overall impact on the game economy.

It may be nice to allow Valentina to sit in any unoccupied chair during a class, opening up different options based on where she sits. For instance, if she's sitting directly in front of the teacher and her shame is low enough, she could spread her knees during a lecture to distracting effect. Bonus points if it's a no-panties day, and even more options if she's horny. This would also be a perfect segue into further interactions with teachers.

It's probably not realistic to expect any better relationship than "frenemies" between Hannah and Valentina. Valentina *did* introduce herself by just doing nothing as Zach raped Hannah. That doesn't strike me as a "bygones be bygones" kind of thing, especially given my perception of Hannah's character at the beginning of play.

Actually close the Beach Cafe if Valentina goes long enough without working there in a bikini. It could be interesting to see player decisions having a major impact on the setting as well as Valentina personally, and this is a perfect opportunity to do that based on the situation George has laid out. Unless of course that was just all some sort of elaborate plan of his to get Valentina into a bikini.

That closure could see a new business open in it's place (George said it's mainly due to the low customer flow and high rent prices, indicating lots of demand for that land) and could also see George employed elsewhere (or as the same location under new management and a new business model) instead of just disappearing.

Also, it seems somewhat disjointed to have Sam go nuts over you showing up naked in his room on Saturday morning (if you've reduced your shame that far), but have him not care at all when he intercepts you naked in the hallway to invite you to the party.

That's how you know you're starting to make it, when someone starts publicly hating on you. Guy doesn't even mention Dynamite's page is purely on per Major Update. He hasn't even received any payment yet.

At the very least if he's going to hate he could learn to correctly write the English language. Very poor grammar, word choice, run-on sentences, misspellings, and typos for a guy who "has an IQ of over 200".

It's hard to take the guy seriously. Is he being serious? On the off-chance he is:
His grammar, spelling and manner is just pure garbage. His distaste for crowdfunding is acceptable (most notably because HIS patreons, crowdrise and all that failed, so everyone else must be a scammer). Okay, so his crowdrise was for a worthy cause but the thing is: Was it presented with the same failure at basic English as that wall of excrement I just read? If it was, it's no wonder it failed. English not being a first language I can understand. Complete garbage I can't. That wall of profanity, lack of capitalisation on I, litany of spelling errors, false allegations and other rubbish makes it fall into the latter.
Lastly, this outright lie:

What, really? I'm roaring in laughter at this. So this guy is saying his IQ is at least on the level of William James Sidis. I call this bullshit because of how poor his basic language skills are.
