ACT Echidna Wars

Re: Echidna Wars

The max up item can only be used 3 times for one character, similar to the power up, thus your maximum health is 70. For the later worm encounters in the level, you might want to use sachiho (the fox girl) to duck under the shots, As the straight one is fired at head level.

From what I can tell, the rice ball heals 6 HP, the Meat heals a large amount that is <40, and the flan heals probably all of your health, I went from 13 in the red zone to max 40 with one pickup, meaning 67 HP. The pipe that spawn slimes in 1-3 will only spawn 2 on screen at a time. Also, just pointing out that the cat in sachiho's room is a reference to Fromage, as the same cat sprite is seen in that game in some locations.

All non vore attacks seem to do 10 damage.

Once you get Mirea to level 3. There is no reason to use any other character other than the wolf girl to duck into small spaces. Mirea at level 3 destroys every thing with the tri-shot up close in 1-2 shots. With the new 1-3 level, it's quite easy to level up your characters in it (1-2 was quite tedious with its power up and monster placement). I managed to level them all up to 3, and found little uses for them all other than Mirea (flying and tri-shot).

I'm sorry I don't normally come out of lurking but Japanese developers really will choose any old words for their game titles wont they. This is an Echidna

Maybe a huge boss Echidna comes out at the end and tries to eat the player like they were ants.

Re: Echidna Wars

After even more testing (I really like this game :D) I found that the flan does indeed heal all HP (or at least 133 HP). I simply left a character with max HP get eaten and rescued at 7 HP left. Also, since the maps can be small, be careful not to exit an area while a character is incapped on the floor, even if they are not being eaten, as it counts as a death.

Did you find out that the flan also heals other party members the same way at the same time? Or was that implied in this post?

Re: Echidna Wars

If you mean that it functions as a full party heal, no I did not. Thank you for the information.

P.S. Have you ever liked an adult game so much that you just had to post helpful info about it? Or is that just me?

An Echidna is also a Lamia-type monster. Usually a quite powerful monster of its type.

It could allude to what the final boss may be. Or it's just referencing the Lamias.
Knowing, battle, etc. etc.

Re: Echidna Wars

The game is called Echidna Wars because the boss is called Echidna, named after the mother of all monsters from Greek mythology.

Images of her have been posted on the D-Gate blog. She looks like a touhou witch who can summon tentacles/monstrous bodies from beneath her dress.

Re: Echidna Wars

Is there a way to download this game, or no?

As far as I myself know, there is not. But believe me, I would love to be proven wrong here. Not that there is too much benefit in downloading the game as it is now; it gets updated once or twice a week anyway, and playing it in browser keeps your save data up to date.

Once it's finished, that will be a different story.

Re: Echidna Wars

In the latest blog entry the creator speaks of having cammy on his mind after doing a search on ixiv for women wearing leotards. Attached image is from the blog.

Now this got me thinking, what if he starts adding heroines from established franchises? Who would you like to see?

Personally I'd like to see Tifa Lockheart(FFVII), Ayane(DoA), Mai Shiranui(KoF) and Sailor Mars. Just some of my personal favorite fictiona women who I think might fit into the game.

Re: Echidna Wars

I don't think he'd start adding copyrighted characters, Although card quest did have Rydia..Either way if he is speaking of leotard-characters. Then we could expect a character wearing one. Probably not Cammy but someone inspired off her.

Re: Echidna Wars

Companies are not willing to go t court with people making porn games. It would cost them a huge amount of money just to take the person to court, and there is no way they could get any meaningful amount of money out of the person. They would suffer a large net-loss.

Remember, there are porn games involving copyrighted characters all over the place, see Tifa Tan and Queen's Axe.

Re: Echidna Wars

It depends entirely on the company for whether or not they are willing to go after circles for making doujin material. Nintendo, from what I recall, has gone out of their way a few times to stop people. Most companies don't care though because it doesn't harm them and would only serve for negative publicity.
