The faq posted by the dev directly contradicts these. As axmed pointed out:
Liar Liar, pants of fire
There's literally no new animations, only reharshed textures, gallery mode instead of playable monsters and CENSORSHIP

Ah yeah, I've seen something about the developer commenting in one's response about the game having 20 different enemies since I'm sure the game has only 18 enemies in total, but perhaps it's a misinterpretation, I don't speak japanese and the developer can be potentially wrong too.

but it's written here that some work will be done in sprites including additions, and even new sounds, right? so it's not everything there that is misinformation at all.

Anyway, I'll change the thread's text so you guys can stop complainig about it or the project in general.

Oh I'm watching the hell outta this, I don't care how janky it ends up being.
Eluku is my Oshi, I'm keeping tabs on anything and everything he's involved with

He's not directly involved. Check the red text in the first article.

And it looks like they're going to get rid of the button mashing to escape grabs. Which sounds rather nice, but they're also working to counter the ability to stunlock enemies by spamming the same move.

Fine by me
I hope they keep the cheats and stage select
I'm a bit puzzled over why they'd want to change the button mashing and stunlocking though..

Probably heard all the people complaining about the mashing ( as I did earlier ) and removing the stunlock to balance out the lack of mashing?

Said they were going to replace it with QTEs like what was in wolf's dungeon at one point.

ver 0.3 free demo on ci-en just dropped for those who were interested. From what i understand its up to fluid hunter.

After a long silence the ci-en updated with a version 0.4 demo.

The new demo has enemies up through milk jellyfish but skips Alruane, with an explanation that the Steam version is going to omit the enemies that would flunk Steam's guidelines (so Alruane and Mist Sisters at the least; maybe Frozen Wolf too) and those enemies will only be in the DLsite version.

The new demo comes with a significantly improved UI and an actual tutorial function, among other things.

Heh. The ci-en updated with saying that most enemies are on their way to being finished. More amusingly, they reported that Steam didn't just reject the current demo, Steam told them not to resubmit it.

Current priority is now to finish the DLsite version by the end of the year and try to work out a version that Steam will even accept next year.

The remake marches on. A 0.50 demo version is now available on the ci-en.

Most interesting thing is that they implemented a custom edit for Tiki where you can change all of her color sliders. Right now you can have three custom palette Tiki's saved, along with the six default ones.

So that's certainly come a ways from the remaker originally thinking of ditching some colors.

Fallen Fairy had a last minute bug that forced it be left out, but otherwise the demo goes all the way to Fairy Crusher Boss.

I noticed aluraune animations on the ci en page. Presuming the steam released got canned this means we're getting all the content now right?

Wishlist: 2 player coop so I can witness 2 tiki's getting owned at once

Dang, Fallen Fairy is my personal favorite, shame I won't get to take a look at the remade version yet.

I finally got around to trying out the remake, and was honestly super disappointed to find out that they completely replaced the grab system with a seek bar with playback control? There's no more mashing, nor do grabs do damage over time the longer you wait...

This would honestly be fine if it was just an option, but there's no way to disable this and just go back to the original games style. Which is honestly a shame, because the mashes getting more difficult the lower your HP got, and grabs getting worse or outright starting entirely new grabs if you didn't break out in time such was a pretty core mechanic of the original game.

Stuff like the Fallen Fairy's parasite insertion or scene where if you don't get her off your face fast enough it does a ton of damage and can potentially lead to an insta gameover, or how the Bee can heal you but drain your SP while filling its own just don't really feel possible with this. And it's not like I'm opposed to the idea in concept, I think it's neat as an option for people who don't like mashing and want more control. But this just feels like they made the normal gameplay into a glorified gallery, while also adding an actual gallery.

Maybe they will add an option to use normal DOT mashing again, but they made covering the topic seems like they don't have any intention to. If that's the case, I guess I'm stuck using the buggy original, which is a shame cause I was really looking forward to the remake. It just completely ruins the immersion and flow of the scenes, and if I wanted to use playback controls I would just use the gallery, not battle.
