Apparently, upgrading your Town Hall to level 5 gets rid of beginner's protection. I still had so much time left. :(

Anyway, I joined a relatively big guild. It's got, like, 90 members.

I read the beginners guide thoroughly so I've purposefully kept my town hall at level 4 :)

In a sentence, you build a city and an army and attack other cities to plunder resources. But it's a lot more deep than that.

It can get pretty deep, for lack of a better word. Balancing how much time you spend on things like increasing the net production of resources, building your army, conquering other towns, and protecting your own gets pretty challenging, especially if you're a dumbass like me and you prematurely break out of beginner's protection. Our alliance is currently hostile with 3 others. >_>

I'm getting lucky now... I'm just farming resources off two guys who just came out of beginner protection next to me. Neither of them have their gates open, so they can't even attack my transporters with their army. So I'm literally walking in, taking their stuff, then leaving unhindered.
