odd. if you run the game to the point someone actually says something still nothing shows up? editted my post for slightly better explanation:
6. Run Game.exe and you'll notice AGTH started running together with your game (the white box with a drop-down menu).
7. Once some text shows up ingame (usually just reaching the menu works), click on drop-down menu in AGTH (that white box) and pick whatever option works best (usually the 2nd of the 3). For WOLF games see 5.2 ^

i had to edit the shortcut of my game from 'C:\AGTH\agth.exe /C blablabla/game.exe to 'C:\AGTH\agth.exe /C /X blablabla/game.exe

now text is showing but it is realy realy weird, like its repeating a word over and over and over again thats not even shown ingame, havent tested AGTH with other games, tho it might be only a problem with my game, to be exact i wanted to play ROBFEOY

edit: my biggest issue with agth and ta, it doesnt pick up dialogue choices, where you can respond to, for example: "do you want to go in that cave?" choices: yes or no

Not sure what you mean by repeating a word. If you mean it's repeating characters in a sentence, e.g. "How How How are are are you you you" instead of "How are you", there's a setting in AGTH that you can use to skip the repeated characters. Click Options (top right corner) and tick the box next to "Remove X repetitions of each symbol", and enter the number of times you see the characters being repeated.

If you mean it's showing complete gibberish, it means you selected the wrong thread. Look at the AGTH window and you should see a downward triangle near the top right. Click that to open a drop down box. Try the text threads one by one until you locate the correct one.

Btw, are you sure that you aren't missing a couple of quotation marks in the shortcut? Usually when I set up my games I need to type D:\AGTH\agth.exe /C /V "C:\Users\username\Downloads\3 Day Heroine\Game.exe", otherwise the game won't run.

dialogue options are picked up by agth but the answer is put together making TA think its part of a sentence. if you really need to know what the options are, select the characters in AGTH that compare to the characters in the game that you need translated. selecting text in agth auto-copies it, making TA pick it up

my complete shortcut looks like this: C:\agth\agth.exe /C /X3 "C:\Users\username\Documents\Neuer Ordner\ROBFEOY\Game.exe"

and i checked "Remove X repetitions of each symbol" but i still get weird things out (first attached picture), but still i get this weird stuff like VLGothic before every sentence... and yes, i went through all options in the dropdown menu, nothing else will give me propper jap text or just gives me some shortcuts like documents/things/this/that and stuff

edit: yes you are right, i think i just havent look close enough regarding of the ansers, they are picked up too in agth, my bad

edit2: found something realy annoying, long sentences will look like this: "VL Gothicどうです？転生したばかりの肉体は…VL Gothic身体も思うように動かず、VL Gothic色々と不便を感じるのではないかと思いますが。VL Gothic" not understandable in TA and a pain to manually translate everything between VL Gothic

did some research and i dont know what your problem is, but using ITH instead of AGTH for now should work. it requires you to hook into the game while it's running instead of using a link target line

You must be registered to see the links

delete ith.exe and use ith-fix.exe instead. go to properties to get it to always run as administrator. open ith, go to option, click auto copy to clipboard. done

while game is running you start ith, click process, click game.exe, click attach, get some text ingame, select the right hook in ITH from drop-down, translation will shw up in TA

That's really weird. It seems that AGTH is picking up the font type. Is the game partially translated?

yes and nudes of your sister if its not too much effort

i think his problem is agth can't acces all strings, hes on some wrong one using /x3 that apparently includes the font. its probably missing lots

so useing /X3 is probably wrong?
my problem is, as soon as i dont use /x i dont get any text in agth

everytime i try to attach "game.exe" (ROBFEOY) ITH crashes with the 2 messages: 1st: Exception code: 0xC0000005 Adress: 0x0040ED86 2nd: Exception offset: 0x0000ED86:UTH.exe

edit: problem was, i didnt needed to select the game procces, ith selected it automaticly and it looks like it is working way better than agth for me, will test a few more minutes "gaming" but it looks good

nice. pretty sure you have the right one then
btw standard agth (without /x3 line) hooks the same things as ith, it just isnt working on your pc. so if you prefer only having to set up the hook once (using a shortcut) i suggest just giving agth another try like a few weeks or months from now

think this thread should now get most people through the struggles

If you have internet connection and allow VNR to use its (online) shared dictionary, the translations may be different, actually. Also, there is a slight difference bw the translation helper scripts for TA and VNR. A very slight difference. Not sure which one is better, tbh, though.

My internet is fine so i can use online translations.

As for shared dictionaries, it always says disabled and i do not know how to solve this.

What i also notcied is after Installing ATlAS + Dic., i still believe that google is the best translator out of them all.
Rarely google makes little sense, then i guess you could use ATLAS .

people told me its slow and shit so i havent tried it, maybe its better but im not gonna try, quite happy with TA + AGTH
just need to make a shortcut for a game once and ur forever done hooking it
atlas gives instant translation so you can just rush through boring conversations and pick up the keywords, while with online translators you need to wait like half a second or a second every sentence. then again maybe its not that bad with vnr idk
