Common events are just that - common. Their translation mostly not important to the story itself or to quests and game play, and it's twice as big as maps and other files combined even after you remove all duplicated lines.

also all "Smiles" become garbled too ...
oh my ... the story first then ... ( including all NPC talk, that should be easier and fewer)
usually translator goes for :
1. Partial
2. Main Story
3. Sub Quest / Sub event / Mini game ...
4. H scene

Yeah, that's roughly how I'm approaching it. I'll do all the maps first, then attack the common events. Got Miracle Mountain done, started on the first forest, and did the magic circle dialogue for all maps as that one was identical and just had to be copy-pasted. Also, Yugifan already had the starting castle and town almost done, and those are by far the largest maps for dialogue.
EDIT: I'll probably be offline till Thursday. Things are going pretty smoothly with the translation though.

Update, I have almost all the map events done, just need to go through the town to find anything we missed and do the last boss dialogue. Then it's a matter of digging into the common events and finding where the status screen stores its info so I can translate that. Cautiously optimistic estimate, I should at least have it ready to playtest by the end of the month.

and then hit search next or all. It will search for non-roman entries. It's useful to see if you missed something somewhere.
You can open map (and any other) files with MS Word, ctrl+F, check use wildcards, paste this in find window

Ive done quite alot of uncensoring. After that there is smaller stuff I need to sort through, but its getting closer.
Ima try my best to get it done before end of the month. If that is the time frame mayaktheunholy as set.

I assumed there was some way to search for non-roman characters, but hadn't looked it up yet.
I was not planning on making a new thread. Yugifan is still actively involved, so I don't see any reason to have 2 threads.
