Re: Elizabeth Silver (AshPrince) GMed by Hafnium
"They will be granted hospitality befitting a noblewoman and a loyal retainer, of course. Your other companion will be granted hospitality befitting a mysterious savior. Only the best for a cousin," Erhard replied regarding the nature of their guests with an easy smile. Despite his hasty response, he listened intently to the rest of the heiress's explanation. Shaking his head at Elizabeth's question, he interjected "No, none. You're the first member of the family to visit my doorstep in a long time. One of your lord father's retainers visited on occasion before the invasion began, but not since." It seemed as though he swordsman had more to say but he lost his train of thought as a particularly well armored knight moved to his side. The knight offered a salute to both Erhard and Elizabeth before offering a briefing on the state of the siege. It was short and to the point, the invaders were being pushed back, the defenders had suffered only a few casualties, all commoners, and the battle seemed likely to break shortly. The wayward Silver offered a simple command, promoting the knight in question to oversee the remainder of the siege while he discussed things with Elizabeth.
After the assassin's news of House Dreslin had been passed, the swordsman frowned. "Terrible news. Were there no survivors?" It didn't escape the Silver Rogue's notice that the man bowed his head and clutched a small pendant at the revelation. Elizabeth couldn't make out what kind of pendant it was, however, before he returned the jewelry to inside his armor. "Yes, I've never been more thankful for being so military minded, cousin. But I think the daily drilling was worth it to watch the militiamen shove their pikes into some foul gray creature's hide, don't you?" Erhard asked with a small grin of satisfaction. It seemed a rhetorical question, as he didn't Elizabeth much time to answer. "Let's speak inside, away from the noise. Are you hungry, cousin?" The suggestion was not necessarily without a point, the racket caused by the musket volleys was difficult to talk or hear over. The black-haired man strode towards the estate doors, not seeming to pay much attention as to whether the lean noblewoman followed him or not.
