While we've brought up the game, might as well mention some things that will help people.
The game is a bit grindy, because the bosses are crazy tough, but for those who don't know Japanese (or even those who do know and are rushing through it -_-), it can be easy to miss something important: the statues throughout the game can teleport you to a place where you can rest, buy items, and forge equipment for yourself.
The latter is pretty important, because your basic attacks will really fall off toward uselessness without a good staff (plus I think it boosts your magic IIRC), and forging one is the only way to get it. I believe they have to be done in order though, so you will want to be picking up all the items you can find in each area (the maps on the download site are very helpful for that). You'll also want to buy armor regularly so you don't die quite as quickly.
As for the battles themselves, the common puyo mobs aren't too bad, especially once you learn their elements and the spells they are weak to. The bosses, on the other hand, are tough. Many of them have special attacks that prevent taking action while dealing damage for a few turns. Sometimes Arle will be released by such an attack only to be immediately hit with another one, which can make things frustrating because it can make for a certain game over.
The last main boss gets special mention because there's a special tactic to fighting it. In laymen's terms, it will sometimes cause a special status indicated by a sword with a flash behind it (in the area where status effects show up). On the next turn, this will instantly kill Arle, unless you get rid of it. You can cure it with: Items らっきょ or カレー; Skills ヒーリング or コンディア; or Special Skill ガイアヒーリング. Any of those five will work, but IMO Gaia Healing is wasted on it.
I think that about covers it, but post if you have questions and I'll help where I can.
