Yeah, thats right. Already managed to solve the puzzle and an unreachable platform one room earlier started to move. I have no idea what else has changed or what do I need to do now.

I suck at Metroidvanias. Lol.

Ok, one last hint request:

I'm at what seems to be the very end of game,
where it's pretending to be Metroid's endgame,
and I'm in the room immediately beneath the final save room of the game. Water's (of course) red, I see the gear in the lower left corner and can hit it with the wave beam.

But the elevator that I see when I leave the same room isn't there when I come back.

Do I need to wait? Is there something I've done wrong? Am I supposed to be able to jump up that column without the elevator present? Is this a game glitch?

You have to change some settings on your computer to get this to run:

For anyone that is interested: after some testing apparently this game requires just 2 things to launch:
- the format of date and time to be set to Japanese
- and the default input language to be set to Japanese (if it is not set to default then when launching the game it will change to your default language which will prevent the game from launching)

If you are launching the game and see a black screen with a warning - means that you didn't set something from the above to japanese
When everything is OK the game will launch with a white screen that goes into foxeye abyss logo.

this was what I had to change to make it work on Windows 7
control panel,
region and language
keyboards and language
change keyboards...
under general switch to japanese.

That platform is, in fact, reachable. You need to get to top left but not through the door.Just do some wall jumping and shooting ;)

Um... I don't understand where you are at... give some clarification or some screenshots?

I'm stuck after getting the wave gun, i went for the path above the lizard boss but i just get in some areas with red water and i cant go further

If memory serves me right: area above lizard boss has a lot of breakable walls. The wave gun helps a lot with detecting breakable walls.
Essentially you should then arrive at the pitfall that first led you to sewers with lots of tentacles and the second fish boss. But since you can't go into the water, there is only one way you can go there.

Man this is really killing th e game for me.
i cant seem to get it to work i really appriciate people posting solution to the problems. but i cant seen to fix it the last picture of the help for windows 7 didnt help for me.
does any one know how to fix the start upcrash for windows 8?

That worked! Thanks so much for your help! :) I now got the Wave Beam. I just hope I don't get stuck again.

so, I'm not where you see Margaret in this screenshot, but in the hallway below, during the
countdown timer at what I think is the end of the game

The moving platform that you can see wasn't there when I came back.

Wrong way bruh, you need to go back again after get the wavegun, goin' thru all upper part of the room then go this way

Can someone help me, I'm stuck after beating the plant boss and getting wall jump. I can't find a way back to the surface. I tried wall jumping at this part but it seems my jump is not high enough. Is there a different path I am supposed to take?

You're at the right spot. It's just a pain, that ledge. All I can say is that you just have to keep trying until you grab the ledge.

There's a lamia-like enemy that kisses you and sucks out all your air. Can only kill you underwater, though.
