There's a lamia-like enemy that kisses you and sucks out all your air. Can only kill you underwater, though.

I thought that was kind of funny. Like they're just lonely idiots that don't realize that the heroine can't breathe underwater.

Ahh, I know where you are. When you enter that room, shoot the ceiling where the rat spawns. There's some breakable blocks there, and you can escape that way.

In general, the timer section has a bunch of dead ends.
That said, don't worry about the time limit too much unless you're doing a deathless run:
There are some checkpoints, and dying to time limit expiry will actually respawn you at checkpoint with more time added.

That's a mechanism in general in this game: Beware that the escape/reset option will restore you to checkpoint in exactly the state you had at the time,
dying and getting respawned at checkpoint will fill up your health/O2 and provide missiles if you had below 5.
This is occasionally essential to get out of a problematic checkpoint situation.

This is an awesome game. A true Metroidvania. It can be very hard at times and I almost lost hope of finishing it but thanks to you guys you helped me in a lot of the puzzles and where to go in some areas.

I wish this game had more H content but knowing this circle, they focus mainly on drowning.

try to look back in this form there are a lot of people with this problem and some arent even to play it yet but if you look back in this form you will find a lot of solution to the problem

Follow the instruction, and if it doesn't work, or you didn't follow it, then you're SOL.

Either post what you've done, so we can see if you missed a step.
