Ceit couldn't have been traveling for more than a few minutes when she heard the shouting of more soldiers. They were separated and lost in the darkness of the blighted forest judging from their shouts. They were obviously not used to the woods like she was and so she did not grow worried. In fact she thought it a good sign, as her companion was likely still alive.

She continued to glide through the brush as carefully and quietly as possible with her wounds. Another few feet and she heard a brief rustling of the brush to her left. Freezing she looked towards the sound ready to disappear in the brush herself if need be. A sigh of relief came from her lips a the pretty little fox girl peaked up from the bushes. A devious little smile on her lips as she asked.

"The rest of the men won't be getting out of these woods any time soon. Are we ready to go...You're hurt."

The smile faded as the girl quickly made her way over with a look of concern on her face.

A small smile of her own curled Ceit's lips when she saw the pretty girl, before she glanced at her shoulder, still throbbing with pain. Blood still trickled down her face from the cut on her forehead.

"I am. But we'll deal with it when we get some distance between us and here. We need to get back," she said, lifting the strange sapling slightly to bring it to the girl's attention, not knowing what else to call her guide.

The girl looked at the small sapling as Ceit held it out, a cunning smile playing on her face as she nodded and said. "It sure looks like the trees in the other groves but I've never seen anything leaking like that. Hopefully Sileas will know how to fix it, there are few enough guardians as it is."

The girl turned down the path that Ceit had been following, while indicating that she should follow with a shake of her head and a whisper. "You're right though we should be able to look at your wounds better once we put some distance between us and this hideous forest. We can stop at the stream to check on your wounds before finding a place to rest for the night."

Ceit nodded, silently agreeing, and pulling the plant tight to herself as she moved carefully through the brush. Her ears listened for any rustling, snapping twigs, the clink of armour. Heel, toe, heel, toes she moved.

She had an end goal in mind now though. Somewhere where she could sit, and start tending to herself that she might make it out of here. After the cave though, she had little hopes of actually returning home. But what exactly were these guardians the woman had spoken of?

The trip out of the nightmarish forest seemed like it was taking forever and the sun was already setting as the pair neared the stream. Ceit was hardly in an shape to continue much further as the pain was clouding her senses too much. Though she was fairly certain that it was the same stream she had seen the fox bathing in earlier.

Her pretty guide turned and smiled before helping Ceit to sit down beside the cool water of the stream as she asked. "Do you still have enough food with you for the night? I can go and find something while you tend to your wounds if you don't."

Looking into her pouch, Ceit finally nodded, her vision swimming. "I do," she muttered weakly, carefully setting the plant aside as she sat by the river side, hoping the Gods favored her right now, and this was the same river. She had to trust in her guide.

Tearing a strip from her pants, she started to fashion a bandage to cover the wound on her head.

The girl nodded and proceeded to do what she could to help with Ceit's wounds. As gently as possible she cleaned the wounds with water before binding the wound as Ceit explained how to do so. The girl seemed to catch on quickly thankfully and they were finished by the time the sun dropped below the trees.

They both sat nibbling on the remaining food for a few minutes before a new worry set in. Ceit was tired and wounded and her shirt was wrapped around the roots of the tree, with the dark came a chill wind. Strong enough to make even the dead shudder in their graves. Though the girl did not seem bothered herself, Ceit could not help but shiver.

Teeth starting to chatter, she tried to get behind clumps of dirt to protect herself from the wind. She sat up, feet lifted slightly off the ground, knees pulled tightly to her chest. She rocked back and forth slightly, trying to keep herself moving, but the chill just kept seeping into her. Deeper and deeper and she looked to her guide. Untouched by night's wicked chill.

Her shoulder ached from just holding herself tightly, her head throbbed. But there was little else she could do now. She just needed to survive the night. How far were they from the pursuers? Far enough for a fire? Perhaps.

"Do, you know, how far they are?" Ceit said, trying not to bite her tongue with her clattering teeth.

The girl looked across the field towards the now dark forest with a nod. "They're still searching for us. I can them call out to each other occasionally. I'm sure there must be a warm hollow nearby we could hide in for the night. it might keep us a bit warmer."

The girl stood and helped Ceit to her feet and began walking away from the water towards a small cluster of bushes. Ceit was so tired and weary after her day that she felt herself leaning heavily against her small companion. Thankfully she appeared to be far stronger than her frame suggested.

Eventually they mad it to the bushes and Ceit collapsed to the ground exhausted. The wind still blew though it was far less pronounced in the hollow than before. Still she was unsure if it would be enough as she still shivered uncontrollably.

The girl moved to pull some loose pine branches close and lay them so that the needles helped to protect Ceit from the cold. After she had piled all that was available she lay down net to Ceit and wrapped her arms around her shivering frame, pulling her into a warm embrace. The efforts seemed to help somewhat as Ceit snuggled close to the girl's warm body.

The walk itself was agonizing. Pain only giving way to numbness. Everything hurt, everything was cold, and she was just, tired. When they finally made it to the little hollow, Ceit carefully set her saved sapling to the side. It felt more important than herself for some reason. Wrapped in her shirt, and pressed to her back, the hunter turned to face the woman who now held her in an embrace.

Using her hips, Ceit wormed in tighter, feeling the warmth of her starting to seep into her skin. Her eyes fluttered, and she rested her head in the crooked of her guide's shoulder.

Sleep would not be long in taking her.

Between the pain, exhaustion, and cold it did not take long for Ceit's eyes to close. Her guide simply smiled as she hugged her companion closer and let her get comfortable for the night. The events of her adventure so far seemed to cloud her mind with dreams from the strange and wondrous to utterly nightmarish.

Eventually the dreams faded and she slept through the remainder of the night. The soft drops of a spring rain woke Ceit in the morning, still in the warm embrace of her pretty guide. Her muscles ached and she was sore from the previous day's activity but she felt much better. Her companion still seemed to be asleep as the rain continued to rouse Ceit from her restful night.

A soft groan spilled from Ceit's lips as the rain pattered across her mostly bared skin, shifting slightly in her embrace with the guide woman, feeling like she was awakening with a lover the way her skin slid over the fox girl's own.

Pain still throbbed in her body, she knew she'd ache for days, and that her dreams would never quite recover; but the press of a beautiful woman against her helped to alleviate that at all. A twist of her head revealed that the tree was still there, safe and sound, pressed against her back between the hands that held her.

She felt a temptation to kiss the woman, brush lips across her cheek or neck. She even leaned in to do it, able to smell the forest upon the woman. She thought about waking her, to continue on their journey back to Sileas. Instead she laid there, savouring this moment of intimacy, the closest thing she'd had to normality since all this had begun the day before yesterday. Which may have been why she gave in to temptation eventually, gently pressing her lips to her guide's shoulder, tasting her skin.

Ceit's lips gently brushed across her guide's shoulder in a gentle kiss, the only sound aside from the falling drops of rain the beating of her own heart. She savored the taste of her pretty companion for a second before she started to stir with a playful giggle from her lips.

"He-he. Stop that, it tickles."

Though she had said to stop it Ceit's companion did not pull away in the slightest. If anything her hands seemed to tighten around around Ceit's back her soft fingers brushing across the small of her back as she smiled.

Hearing the words, feeling the hands tightening against her mostly naked back, Ceit let her lips press a little more firmly to her guide's and companion's skin, moving closer to her neck, breathing in the scent of the forest, of the rain running over her flesh.

Feelings she had not felt often surged through her, and she briefly considered fighting them, pushing them downwards. But instead let her hands trail up the other woman's sides, feeling the warmth hidden beneath the coolness of the rain. Survival and emotion clashing together in her brain and heart as her lips moved further on, starting to trail up the fox woman's neck, towards her jaw.

Her companion whimpered ever so slightly as she felt Ceit's lips press against her bare flesh. Her whimpers faded into breathlessness as they trailed further up towards her neck, the only sound from the unlikely pair the beating of their own hearts over the soft patter of the rain.

The girl's nails dug in ever so slightly as she impatiently tried to pull Ceit closer, one of her hands trailing up her back. Stopping once they reached the cloth which covered Ceit's breasts, where they seemed to hesitate as the girl once more caught her breath and leaned in to press her own lips softly against Ceit's shoulder.

Rain pattering against her skin, warmth starting to flush her body and pushing back the morning's chill, Ceit felt herself pulled tighter against her guide. Felt her breasts being crushed against the other woman's body. Her lips continued to explore, trailing along the guide's jaw until finally they met in a true kiss.

And Ceit could not help herself, her mouth opening, tongue pushing outwards, silently and physically encouraging the woman against her. Whether true desire, or a need for normality, it no longer mattered to Ceit. Only the sensation of rain slicked skin beneath callused fingertips that slid down the fox girl's side, caressing the side of her breast, a brief moment remembering the first time she had seen this form of her companion. And lover?

Her companion eagerly met Ceit's lips with her own, her mouth opening widely to allow her lover's tongue access. Their kiss seemed to last forever as Ceit's tongue explored every inch of the girl's mouth.

Her sharp nails teasingly clawed at Ceit's lower back, while her free hand tugged at the ties holding her small top in place. Eventually she pulled back, breaking the kiss off. A mischievous smile on her face as she looked at her companion and whispered.

"We don't even know each other's name."

Matching the woman's smile with a coy smirk of her own, the hunter leaned down, the wrap holding her in place falling away. With wet hair clinging to her neck and shoulders, Ceit's teeth nipped at her guide's ear playfully.

"It's Ceit," she whispered softly, and let her hand run over the fox girl's breast, feeling a nipple dragging across her palm as she stayed entwined with her lover, clad only in filthy pants torn across her knees and ripped along the shins from her running through the forest.

"Brighde..." The girl said. Her voice trailing off into a yelp of surprise as Ceit playfully nipped at her ear. Her eyes seemed to roll into the back of her head and her yelp turned into a soft moan of pleasure as Ceit's hand brushed against her nipple.

Brighde's hands slid up Ceit's side, just barely tickling her with the sharp nails before they stopped at her lover's now exposed breasts. There they lingered while she turned her head to plant a quick kiss on her partners lips, her pretty eyes blinked once as they're noses touched and she added. "I'm really glad I was sent to be your guide instead of one those silly puca."

Think I finally managed to find a good pic of Brighde, hopefully you like it as well.

Short little gasps sent warm breath across Brighde's ear and cheek, as those short claws climbed upwards, teasing with each touch to skin. When hands enfolded around her breasts, Ceit found her soft groan cut off by the press of lips, her own responding without a thought before she opened her eyes.

Smiling, Ceit brushed a lock of hair from her guide's face, letting her nose run gently around the tip of her lover's.

"So am I. More and more," she said, letting one hand slide downwards, turning about as it moved along Brighde's belly and fingers slipped down between her thighs.

She's very very pretty
