Pulling out into the intersection. The two gunmen in back fire at the nearest zombies, the impact hurting them and stunning them enough so that they don't grab onto the truck. The roads seem to have several zombies up ahead. Likely at some point Chase will have to drive through at least one of them.

Robert shouts to Chase from the back, as he prepares to shoot any zombies that grab onto the truck. "Verath, you take the right side of the truck, I'll take the left." He says to his companion

As Chase takes the first turn to head back to the Wallmart, Robert Fires at a zombie coming alongside the truck, injuring it before a shot from Verath finishes it off (or at least knocks it to the ground). These streets don't have much of a place for zombies to get by on the right, so I'll just help you out over here in the mean time.

Meanwhile, with a bloody crushing sound, Chase plows over and through a zombie, killing it and leaving the start of a new paint job on the front of the car.

(A small explanation of Vehicle health: whenever the driver hits a zombie, I do a drive check to see if the front of the car housing the engine is damaged with the average zombie dealing one point of damage to it if the check is failed. Then, if the engine is undamaged, I do another check to see if the undercarriage is damaged with the same result. If engine hp drops to zero, the car stops. If the undercarriage drops to zero, the driver recieves a penalty to their drive check while using the vehicle. Finally, if a zombie latches on to the side and deals enough damage to the bunker to drop it to zero, the zombie can attack the occupants.)

Chase continues her drive down the street, turning onto the next road leaving her now with a straight drive to the Wallmart. As she drives, she ends up hitting three different zombies, one splatters harmlessly off the car, another hits the car with a loud thunk, leaving a dent on the front, and the third ends up making some rough sounds under the truck as it runs Chase runs over it.

Meanwhile, Verath and Robert pick off another nearby zombie in the other lane.

Running over another zombie, Chase manages to hit this one in a way to minimize the damage to the truck. Meanwhile, another Zombie, this time one to the right of the car, falls away dead as the two in back fire at it.

After swerving past a few zombies and gaining a new bump on the front of the truck, the group reaches the wallmart to find it swarming with zombies. At the entrance, several officers can be seen firing off shots and several non-officers are standing behind the barricade, handing fresh ammo to the police. The area directly outside the barricade is full of dead zombies as well. A few mechanics are hard at work modifying the trucks as the police keep the zombies off of them.


...That was a lot of z's to type.

Anna-Lee let out yet another curse under her breath, shoving yet another clip into a waiting hand. The guys were trying to be good and not waste their shots but there were so damn many of the things out there...How on God's green earth did there get to be so many of them?

She really didn't want to think about that right now. She didn't have time to think about it. Make sure the clips were full so the bullets kept coming. That was her job. The other thing she concerned herself with was keeping an eye out for any of the zombies that got too close for comfort. There was a decent perimeter around the barricade of unmoving undead but that was not a deterrent to the others.

Even over the gunfire, she heard the sound of an engine. Looks like the prodigals had returned, for all the good it would do at this point. Of course, that was likely a couple more that could take pot-shots at the zombies, so she wasn't going to complain.

Chase turns the truck into the parking lot sending a zombie ricocheting off of the hood. The two in back take shots at nearby zombies, injuring them. The cops near the barricade are focusing their fire and take out three more, but given the number of zombies, this might be a long day. They might even be forced to fall back deeper into the store at which point they lose the option of flight and have to fight.

Seeing the swarm of zombies approaching Wal-Mart, Robert says; "Christ........ Chase, get us up there, and try to block off the entrance." He then once again fires at a zombie, trying to thin their numbers.

Chase, driving in an 's' pattern, side-swipes a zombie long enough to give Robert a good shot at it before slamming into three more zombies and acquiring a new dent in the hood. In the back, Verath picks off one of the zombies he and Robert had injured before. Getting closer to the barricades, Robert can now make out his daughter behind them, passing ammo to the officers.
