[WIP - Full] Hounds of the Blade translation project

Hey.

I know this is an old thread, but here are the steps to fix some errors that happen.

For the "Error opening file for writing" error, some files in the game folder have been set to Read-only. Select all files and subfolders, tick and apply Read-Only, then untick and apply Read-Only to get rid of Read-only on the files. Files tend to have the Read-Only setting applied to them when downloaded from torrents.

For the "Unknown variable image_alpha" error, go to the in-game settings and set the alpha setting to 100%. The default is 75% which causes errors for some reason.

Edit: Nevermind, it fixed the mafia dude scene but not the small lizard and roach scene.

I know its pretty late into this thread to ask this but does anybody know if a full translation is available or what the correct way to use the translations in this thread are because after the dojo fight new story text isn't in English and not sure if its because i added the other 3 translations that were posted after wessexs translation

If I remember rightly you need to have wessexs translation installed first for it all to work then install laek's patch after which this one

should work only other thing is just to make sure you've got the newest version of hound of blade as I dont know if the patch's work on older versions

Thanks its still not translating for me so i guess i keep messing up on my side or that once you get past the dojo fight its all content that came out after the translations here were made Oh well thanks again.

I checked the translation files it's definitely just copying the files across the translations should cover up to the lab which is where the game ends currently unless I'm missing something. The only thing I can think of is if the PC isn't formatted to Japanese the game might not run/translate right but honestly i don't know

The alien doctor in the slums isn't translated for me... everything else is.

I did that and most "give up" scenes shows an error and game closes...

No, it's dead. He gave up on it and is currently working on another game, set in the same "universe", Hounds of the Meteor. Before that he was working on a game with different mechanics, but he gave up on it before it got anywhere.

Do we uhhh unpack them all into one folder? Or seperately then put them all in one folder manually?
