How to use rogmaker trans?

I know how to rip the cg's and the txt files from it but when a line gets too long the text doesn't wrap to the box despite the box being big enough in all rpgmaker games i played. the game i'm trying to translate is ぼくとママとしょうたくん

You should check in the FAQs and Problems thread where tech questions are usually answered. If the answer isn't there, well, post your question there and see how that goes.

Just manually add a new line to the translated text, RPG Maker will display this fine

This is perfectly fine, there is a minor issue where if you exceed about 4 lines the next line will be displayed separately, ie first 4 shown, youhave to hit enter, then it shows the next

I normally try to format as similarly as the original text but language differences in how much text it takes to say the same thing are such that it is just not always possible.

Do people not read my sig or the documentation? It's spelt out: RPGMaker Trans cannot help you with character limits for lines, because these are per game/font. Put some newlines in your translations, and you'll be fine.

Also I've no idea what Rogmaker Trans is.

Incidentally, the 4 line wrap being an "issue" is new to me - and the reason I'm replying in the thread. I am going to add a way of changing it (both globally and per-dialogue), but are there games which allow more than 4 lines of dialogue per window? I just ask out of curiosity.

Thanks for the help guys! funny thing i actually read the doc for using rpgtrans but then put the translation on pause for like 3 months or something. Also i apologize for my bad english as it's not my first language, but getting better

This issue is one I found in a couple of games I translated recently, so it may just be a scripting limitation for said games. Mind you they were using RPG Maker XP
