Hi. I know, there's a thread that was made in 2016 for this.
I didn't want to necro that thread, and the troubleshooting I did based on the information posted in there yielded me no luck. If anyone knows an easy way to get that game running on Windows 10, I'll be eternally grateful to you.
Yes, I tried setting my language to Japanese in the settings when extracting the files from the dev website.
Yes, I installed the English patch and replaced the files in the directory with them and made sure the language was set to English.
This is what I get when I try to boot the game in its current state. My assumption is that it's looking for a file and that file is missing, or I somehow messed up the whole changing the language before extracting the files (It isn't clear to me how I know when I've done that correctly. Maybe someone could advise on that?)
Again, please excuse the existence of this thread. I'm just a horny guy who got to play this game once like 10 years ago and wants to do it again. I'm just not as good at jumping through all the hoops necessary to do it.
