You wouldn't really need to market it that well, it might actually work better if you just start to travel, turning people's houses or cars golden as you go. Its not like you have to start putting your stuff on the exchange market in order to make the cost of gold plummet, just go into a dollar store and run you hands along the shelves, know what I mean?

Depends on what molecular level it works. Perhaps only the grains in immediate contact to your fingertips would turn gold. Perhaps the air molecules that are constantly against your fingers turn to gold and fall to the ground. Who knows the science concerning the fiction of a fable?

Toxic, the air surrounding your hands will solidify into gold instantly meaning it's impossible for you to touch something else due to it the air surrounding it is already gold. But if you touched the air you breathed doesn't that mean every speck of breathable air, including inside peoples bodies turns to gold? Wow, you will be breathing gold out. And in. Also bloodstream is now GOLD! YAY! Gold!
