Yeah, I feel bad for the british. Looks like they'll be seeing an influx of sea people in the near future.

TBF dams can't stop heavy floodings. They can delay the flood, but dams can only hold back so much water before they need to let the water go. In places with proper infrastrure the dams can buy time for people to evacuate, but in under developed places this only delay the inevitable deaths.
 
Well what I was actually implying was that dams interrupt the normal flows of water, so you'll get water spilling into places when normally it'll have drain away.
Especially if they've been redirecting natural water ways

At this point if it wasn't clear yet, US politics is theatre by the rich to show that they are in power and they will never let go
And anyone that publicly says that this is a bad thing (Or tries to stop them) will be punished. They'll find a reason for it, and if they can't find one they'll make one up

Not limited to just the US but the US isn't even trying to be subtle about it
