I've played the new game but sadly I don't know which save file it is under?
 
So how would you guys change up the JSK combat formula?
Like what features does he currently have that you don't think he needs or would make modifications to?

As a big JRPG fan like seriously big (Etrian, 7th Dragon and other First Person Dungeon Crawler Player) I think there's a lot he can do to make the combat more exciting.

I think having buffs and debuffs would be awesome. Being able to temporarily boost your speed or something would be pretty good, and building stacks of a debuff other than lust could be interesting. Sleep is quite powerful so instead of instantly putting her to sleep it could stack from drowsiness into sleep.

For this new game, I'm curious how he'll try and implement the bondage system. The martial arts focused games don't really have magic or anything. The wrestler girl and the last little sister only used physical attacks. The blonde martial artist girl did have a simple projectile though. Maybe he'll use actual rope in super speed or something instead of magic restraints?


Personality wise, I do kind of miss heroines that had secret crushes on the hero. It seems like it's been forever since Fuuma Girl Maisa oh and I guess Miyui did too.

I like the lust debuff idea. Instead of a move straight up applying it, I would like a groping animation that would increase the chance of her initiating a sex move. Right now, there is just butt slapping but there could be so much more.

Another idea would be clone magic for the guy/girl like what Kara has in the game Amazon Brawl. It could open the door for threesome animations.

As for more combat depth....maybe multiple stances? Girl takes a more defensive stance but is more vulnerable to sex attacks?

I think he's quite against battle fuck style games though?

- Finisher moves for the Heroine, not just insanely HP draining one, but literally 1HKO moves that need to be interrupted with one of the abilities, which need to be learned, one for each, trying to block means defeat, making mind read ability critical necessity to learn.

- Counter restraint, extra dmg taken when bound and all actions locked, either furious mouse clicking to be set free or wait till AP is high enough to break free.

- Counter block, Heroine can also block incoming attacks and perform a devastating counter afterwards on successful block.

These would add some serious difficulty for the fight scene and be only used in the last fight before ending, or if player has chosen to go rapey on the Heroine.

Seems like most of your recommendations make the heroine more proactive for sex.

The only sexually proactive heroine was Miyui and I don't think JSK like how she turned out so he just turned those scenes into mindcontrol instead. I doubt he'd make the sex matter to the combat in an interesting way as he's actively avoiding battle fuck type systems.

Personally not the biggest fan of 1hko moves, but if it has sufficient buildup it could be good.

No, those would be combat only changes, with the sole purpose of defeating the player, nothing to do with Heroine going rapey towards the player, like we saw in MGB.
 
Personally I'd rather he just did-away with the actual gameplay aspects and focused purely on the sex scenes. Having some game-play that leads into the scenes is fine, but I don't really want a fully fleshed out experience or I'd just play non-H games. So I guess what I'd want is a ''super easy mode'' that makes counters have longer windows to exploit, less grindy mechanics, and in the case of Wrestling Queen and Demon Queen, less frame-sensitive QTE clicks to go through lists of H moves.


And just...more positions. Lots, and lots, of positions.

Anyone else notice the new side bar on the left in the latest JSK post. Any ideas what it's going to be used for?
 
Given the latest game, it's most likely the like/dislike system from conversations, meaning easier time to determine which dialogue for the ending.

I don't think he's too interested in diversifying the sex scenes in his games. Honestly there's not much he COULD do position wise per game, so I don't think it's worth it to scrap gameplay for more scenes.

I very much disagree. The gameplay mechanics completes the self immersion which JSK excels in. More positions would be nice, however. like choosing between vaginal or anal on insertion and generally being able to fondle and kiss during intercourse would be improvements.

if every ending had the same sex positions, then every ending would be pretty much the same wouldn't it? Unlocking sex positions gives the game more replay value, instead of just beating it once and just getting everything. Well thats the way I see it.
