Ci-En update:



H-scene preparation.
There's an interface revamp compared to previous games, so this will slow development pace down.
On the plus side, there are more options to work with during the scenes themselves.

Maximum of four camera views compared to the standard two of previous works (which isn't a big improvement since JSK admits most positions will still get the standard two views anyway).
Clothing options on the left, eyes and tears options depending on player preference.

Sex positions (if the screenshot reflects the final product) will be Missionary, Doggy, Cowgirl, Counter-rape, Bondage, Loli and Unconscious sex.
 
Is it me or did JSK tuned Yumisu's face? Comparing to previous posts, her face seems squarer (silver ratio; yep learned that from Persona 5. PC version Atlus, please) or could that be a 1st. level loli Yumisu?

Typical symptom of players who only ever play JSK games after the machine kiddies have done their "work".

Every single JSK game featuring the counter-rape mechanic use the same name to refer to the requisite technique: 交差法.
The first Unity game didn't feature it in the tech tree, but the last game on Flash as well as EVERY SINGLE GAME beforehand with the prerequisite tech did.

Compared 交差 to カウンター, guess which one takes up less space and fits inside a button?

I see.
I just don't look at the buttons wether they're translated or not.
If it's untranslated on title screen I just click on it & keep it in mind what scene it is.

Obviously not the first time given other english h-sites are just as guilty with the APK demanding but seriously don't fking say it in the creator's face.

He did say in his comments that there won't be any loli endings but H-scenes only.
As for the Chinese people telling him they have done APK ports for his games, they're digging their own grave. They did not ask for his consent & very well might make profit out of them that JSK can sue them for.

From the comments. As mentioned above, it's really cut and dried that the Loli rape scene is strictly limited to the scene and there's zero plan on making it into an ending. He says elsewhere he wanted to do something in this remake to differentiate it from its predecessor, which is where the Loli scene comes in as he's wanted to do this for some time.

I remember that. JSK said he can't comment on unofficial distro of his games, or something in that sense, if my memory isn't fooling me.
In any case, JSK seems to turn a blind eye to the issue. I can only guess that's because he thinks taking legal action is not worth the effort/hedache.
Another possibility is he's happy with the income sales from DLsite and DMM/Fanza yield or he understands the visibility unoff distro gives to his stuff.

I never expected a balance of femdom to maledom but this game's leaning really heavy in the rape direction. Hmmm... The original was super male dominant too now that I think about it.

Man, I remember that, It's good news that he decides to just ignore it and keep up with his stuff, I wish more devs were like that, some are so stuck up to their work that they start to attack their own communities (more if they are non-japanese) the moment they see torrents or fan projects, and even when they are offered an official translation from an official publisher, they just delay and delay and end up ruining the project just because they weren't convinced with the current state of the game and decide to rewrote everything, but in the end they have the right to choose and you still love their work, you just wish they choose to be more reasonable
 
Ori and the Blind Forest is an interesting game.

That (beware the video's long) are done in a pretty interesting way.
To summarize, the animator did 3D modeling and animation in another program, then exported those models as frame-by-frame image data which the programmer then placed on top of the map.
It's 3D but not really 3D.
The lighting is all done in post 2D which is the big shock. Honestly, this part could be an entire video most likely because of how insane the thought is. The shader programmers were monsters.

This makes the filesize for the game huge! Since frame-by-frame data is much bigger in filesize than pure animation data.

Will JSK ever be that quality?
To be honest? No.

He's moved to Unity but he's just super comfortable with Vector animation and doesn't have any strong desire to change. The animation pipeline of flash and bone animation isn't THAT different which is why he can get the same feel in animation in Unity as he has had in flash. It's that familiarity which drew him to Unity in the first place.

As long as he's comfortable where he's at, there's no reason he'll change what he does artistically. JSK's pretty big on 2D animation too, so him moving to a 3D animation pipeline is too much of an ask. Not to mention shader programming is literally an art in and of itself which is too much to ask of a single person.

Don't expect anything like that. It would be a miracle if he even added more rasterization elements in his games like gradients since it seems like he's still drawing in flash, and exporting the flash animations for use in Unity.
I'm a pretty big fan of the 2d animation, but I'm a bit afraid that he'll fall back into his comfort zone and just do similar animations to his old games again. He has a habit of reusing skeletons for a few games. And that will limit how many things he can experiment with, since 2d animation is so time consuming.

I'd say 3D animation is more time-consuming than 2D if you don't have the proper tools.
Don't forget he's still doing bone animation, which while it's not completely easy, is MUCH easier than frame-by-frame animation. If it wasn't for the fact that these games have clothing destruction, he could probably finish every animation in the game within a week.

I don't think JSK will ever really move out of his comfort zone.

That can be a good thing if you look at it differently. If you like the games, it means more of the same. You can be confident that you'll at least decently enjoy his next combat game because you liked the previous. Little change brings that confidence, but just like how the game can't change too far for the worse, it can't change too far for the better either.

Honestly, that's why I'm rooting for Under The Witch so much. That game reminds me so much of JSK, except instead of maledom focus it's femdom.

Service scenes are likely to be from hypnosis judging by the previous games.

I guess Cowgirl was a mistype on JSK's part? Maybe that is gonna be hypnosis.

Game is still in development. Just let more details to surface or wait for the game release. But JSK has commented to Replies that Service and Air Counter are available.
