The woman's eyes where glazed in pain as she struggled the bindings preventing her form reaching Sera threw their mystical wards. The woman continued to thrash her cries more of agony than anything else. Fear filled her voice as she cried out. "ITS BURNING MY SOUL!! AHHHHAAHAHHAH!" With a final shudder the woman fell to her knees, her hair softing into a slight blonde while the horns burned away. The girls lips turned to a normal color and her presence seemed less imposing than before. Looking her over Sera spotted a similar purple gem as to the one she had just snagged from the table embedded between her breasts, permanently sealed into her skin.

Sera gasped as the woman screamed aloud, unsure of what to do really, as she seemed in agony. When the woman finally collapsed to her knees, Sera was left staring with wide eyes at the poor woman. "W-What happened to her?" Sera asked softly, to nobody in particular, as she approached once more.

"M-Miss... are you alright? Miss, please... are you okay?" Sera asked the woman, unable to leave her, no matter what she might be, because she was obviously in need of help. "Come on, be alright, please," Sera said as she knelt down and gently reached out for the woman to touch her with one hand, checking to see if she was alive.

The woman now seemingly at peace breathed slightly. She was alive however as Sera touched her she had to pull back her hand. What ever had happened to her left her hot to the touch. Satisfied that she was okay at least as far as casual observation would allow Sera turned her attention to the silver bindings.

It wasn't uncommon for binding chains to be made of silver as it was considered a pure metal. Often used to store dangerous demonic or even fey prisoners. The bindings where usually enchanted for strength and to prevent spirit and magic powers from being used. Looking back to the amazonian woman it was clear that who ever had bound her was taking serious precautions. Drifting her thoughts to the last page of the book the writing came back to her.

"Success I have transferred the essence of corruption to a usable form. The third experiment was a mix failure and success. I've implanted it in a hapless traveler. Unlike the other experiments she survived mind intact..."

Still there was another issue. Near the woman was a pedestal that held an evil tome. Sera didn't even need to see it, as its aura already made her skin crawl. Looking to it she saw the air distorting about it warping the fabric of reality in its proximity.

"W-Wow, that's smarts. Why is she so hot I wonder," Sera commented to herself as she felt just how hot the woman's skin was to the touch.

Spotting the silver bindings, Sera was interested in the fact that they were silver. She could tell that the woman was in fact dangerous, but she didn't know just how dangerous, nor did she truly want to find that out. Looking back to the book, Sera read the last pages curiously, and it appeared that whoever this woman was, someone had apparently implanted their experiment into the poor woman, some sort of corruption. Possibly the witch this tower belonged to, possibly someone else, it was hard to tell really, but Sera knew that she had to take these findings back to Jolynn as soon as possible, and... the woman she had to figure out just who and what she was.

The tome near the woman was too dangerous looking for Sera to touch, but she knew that she had to at least investigate it, albeit very carefully. Looking around, Sera got something again to use as a buffer, so she needn't touch the thing directly herself, and she would wrap it in her extra set of robes, before placing it back into her pack, unless there was something that prevented her from doing so. Once she'd done that, Sera looked back to the woman, and gently reached out to see if she'd cooled down again, before attempting to bring her back to consciousness, or if she seemed hurt, she'd attempt to heal her with her spiritual energies.

Sera quickly covered the book not daring to touch it with bare hand. Turning her attention back to the woman she reached out and touched her again. She was warm but not hot as last time maybe the magic transformation she had been threw was to blame. Shaking the woman would do little to wake her and Sera knew that spending any energy would just get absorbed by the bindings. She was left with either leaving her or undoing the bindings and taking her with her.

"D-Damn... alright then, let's get these bindings off of her and get her out of here. I can't just leave her here, not in the condition she's in," Sera muttered softly to herself, moving to undo the bindings, where she would then lift the poor girl up to carry her out of there.

Thankfully the bindings where simple and being able to use some spiritual power Sera managed to undo them. With that done Sera began to heft the girl up and onto her shoulder freeing her hand to open the door back to the library. It seemed even in this her luck held as the ghost girl was not near her position. Though she could be head deeper in the shelves. Wasting little time Sera headed out and down finally slipping past the student quarters and out of the tower.

After getting the bindings undone, Sera hefted the girl up and over her right shoulder, carrying her like that so that she'd have a hand free to open the door to head back out with the other items in her pack as well as the girl. She heard the ghostly girl again, and stopped cold for a few moments, before figuring out that she was elsewhere in the library, or deeper in the walls anyway. "Well at least she's not right here in my face again. I didn't want to hurt her," Sera thought to herself, as she hurried on to the doorway leading back down and out of the tower, moving as fast as possible back to town, and switching to carrying the girl like a princess in both arms, after clearing the tower's grounds, and making for her manor first, since it was closer than the palace.

Thankfully the trip back was uneventful though she did get a few stares from the passer byes but her own little contingent of guards kept most people from getting to nosy. The woman remained asleep the whole trip her body gradually cooling to a normal temperature. Able to examine her in proper lighting she had very similar appearance to June, though the pointed elfin ears hinted at a mix parentage. She was also fare more endowed in womanly qualities than June. Still the woman was a mystery and potentially dangerous.

Reaching her manner Sera promptly had her put to bed while her head bodyguard posted a few of the girls to keep watch. This just left the collection of items she pulled from the tower. Sadly she sent Ivy to Jolynn with the books. Well except the lab notes and evil artifact.

It was good that nothing really happened on the way back, and thankfully her guards were there to prevent anything from really getting too out of control, with the people being curious. After getting into the light again down on the streets, Sera looked at her, and found that she looked similar to June somewhat. Looking her over a little more, Sera found the woman had larger breasts, a bit more voluptuous and curvy a body than June had, and that she also had long pointed elven ears, which Sera couldn't help but reach out to gently touch.

Sera left her guards with orders to protect the young woman, and to come and get her if she woke up, and to also keep the girl from leaving for now as well. With that, she took the items to the palace to show them all to Jolynn, flying along with her backpack slung over her shoulder, and landing just outside of the palace's front doors, where she'd ask for Jolynn, and head off to find her.

Upon arrival at the gate Sera didn't even have to ask as she was escorted right in and guided to Jolynn. Here she found Ivy being examined by the matriarch and while she seemed flustered at the constant questions they stopped as soon as Sera was shown in. "Ah my love you found some very interesting books in your journey to the tower."

Emptying her pack carefully Jolynn looked over what she had brought. As soon as the vile skull and tome made an appearance Jolynn quickly sealed them with a magic barrier. "And some very dangerous things as well. Curious though what is that?" Pointing to the strange crystal in a jar that looked similar to the one her quest had in her chest. With a wave of her hand the item moved to her hand as she inspected it. "This hums with corruption.... not dangerous on its own but undoubtedly in combination with something like a weapon... it could prove quite dangerous.

Nodding to the guards, Sera followed them in to find Jolynn, and found Ivy explaining all she'd seen in the tower with Sera, obviously being questioned by the matriarch until they saw Sera. "Yeah, and some other things too. I'll explain everything I found after I sent Ivy on back down. Just... let me take a seat first, because there's quite a bit," Sera replied, looking for a seat next to Jolynn.

Once sitting, she started taking everything out of her backpack, and was glad Jolynn took the skull and tome and sealed them. When she pointed at the crystal in the jar, Sera nodded in agreement. "Yeah, definitely dangerous, though how dangerous I don't know. I'm not entirely sure what it is, but as an angel, I can feel just how much latent corruption all of this stuff has inside it. But these things... aren't the half of it. There was a woman up there. Chained up to a wall. She looked... human, and then... not. It's difficult to explain, but suffice it to say... I couldn't just leave her there. She was obviously hurting, and she might be able to give us some insight into what's been going on up there. I took her to my manor for now here in town, and I have my guards keeping a very close eye on her. And I made sure to leave them with instructions to tie her down if necessary, for her safety as much as ours. Also, this crystal, the girl I brought back, has one embedded in her chest, very similar to this one, and the journal I found that talked about her, made it seem like the crystal maybe... I dunno, controls her, to some degree. I can bring the girl here, if you think it'd be prudent to, so you can put her in a barrier too. She has some spiritual or magical powers definitely, or at least whoever had her up there, was afraid that someone would track her somehow, because she had silver chains and a collar on her. I took the silver bindings she had on off, when I brought her out, but I can reseal her and bind her if need be. But I think that she'll be just as confused as we all are about all this, honestly," Sera said after a few moments.

Jolynn listened while Sera explained about the crystal and the girl and how they had been fused. Frowning she set it aside for a moment. "It may be best to let her rest with you. A small place with a few people rather than a whole palace. Do you have the notes that mentioned her?" If Sera had brought it along Jolynn would look it over a moment, going back a few pages. "Humm this may take a bit to study but from what I gather.. who ever did this was trying to make their own army of slaves. Demons are notoriously vengeful creatures that would betray you with out a second thought. I will have to read more but it looks like the woman you found was her fist successful attempt to make something on the same power as a demon.

"That's what I was thinking too. To let her stay where I can keep a close eye on her. I mean, I an an angel after all, and I can summon more help if completely necessary, to deal with her. And yeah, I brought all of the stuff that was there," Sera replied, setting all of the stuff down onto the table for Jolynn to go through.

After Jolynn took the book with the notes in it, Sera nodded a little in agreement. "I was thinking much the same thing honestly. That whoever did this, likely the old witch of that tower, was trying to make herself an army of some sort. I'd wager that the girl in question, is one of your people, actually, from many years ago. Either way, we should be careful. I don't know if there was more further up the tower, or if I was at the top of it. But either way, there's a lot that we don't understand going on. I'll keep her at my manor for the time being, and when you sift through all of the notes, let me know, alright. So that we can try and come up with some way of helping her, if possible," Sera said after a few moments, where she'd make sure that Jolynn had everything in barriers that needed to be in them, aiding her in making some of the barriers if need be, before she headed back to her manor.

Jolynn did have her help move the artifacts to a more secure location before giving her a quick kiss after escorting her out. On her way back Sera was amazed at the absolute swarm of fireflies that descended on the city as evening approached their little dancing lights flickering in the bushes and under the eaves of houses. The same went for her manner as well, the little bugs seeming to favor her house in particular. However as she neared the manor a sudden scream echoed out as one of her body guards came fling threw a window a look of utter surprise on her face. Seeing this Sera quickly launched into the air and caught her before she hit the ground. Coughing the girl was a bit singed but otherwise okay. "I-I don't know what happened I was bring food to the guest when she soddenly shriked... there was a wave of fire and then well you caught me.

Sera smiled at Jolynn, and returned the kiss when Jolynn gave it, wrapping her arms around the matriarch, and kneeling down momentarily to kiss Jolynn's belly softly too. "Now you three be good in there and don't cause trouble for mommy, you hear," Sera whispered to their unborn children.

After that, she headed back to her manor for the time being to let Jolynn continue her research for a while, as she figured it best for her to go back and check on her new guest. The fireflies were out in droves tonight it seemed, Sera thought to herself, as an absolute swarm of the things was buzzing about. When she neared home though, Sera saw even more fireflies buzzing about, and flapped her wings hard and fast, as she saw one of her guards come flying out of one of the windows, catching her just before she hit the ground hard.

"Are you alright, what's happened?" Sera asked quickly, only to get an answer that only raised yet more questions. "Mmm, come on, let's get you cleaned up, and I'll check on our guest," Sera told her guard, and headed back up to the window, letting her guard hold onto her from behind so that Sera was between their guest and her guard.

"Hello... miss. I'm Seraphina Mistraal. Please, be at ease. And do not be frightened," Sera called out to the girl inside, hoping to calm her down as she eased in, shooing any fireflies that got in her face away, as she set her guard down and slowly approached the girl with a hand outstretched.

41 vs 40 success!

The window her guard went flying threw was across from the room to which her harem had placed her. Originally it was some sort of large storage room but had been converted into a bedroom while the manor was being cleaned and fixed up. Sera could see the discarded plate and spilled food as well as a few more of her guards running towards her.

Upon reaching the threshold of the room Sera could see the place was an utter mess. The whole room looked like a storm had hit it and the smell of burned something wafted lightly in the air though nothing was on fire. Calling out got a whimper and as she moved in she could see the woman cowered in the corner shaking in fright. At first nothing seemed out of place except that the girl was naked. Then it caught her attention the crystal embedded into the woman's chest had sunk deeper. To her question the girl just sat and cowered.

Seeing that this wasn't the actual room the girl had been in, Sera gently touched down as the rest of her guards came rushing in. She gently waved them down to calm them, and looked around at the place, and for the girl specifically. Heading to the room that the girl was actually in, Sera saw the mess it was in, and sighed softly.

Finding the other room a complete and utter mess, Sera sighed softly and knew that was something they'd have to clean up again soon enough, but for now she just looked around for the girl. "Hey, shh... it's alright honey. I'm Sera. And I promise... I won't hurt you. Will you please come out, and talk to me?" Sera said softly, trying to peacefully coax the girl out of the corner of the room, as she knelt down and beckoned gently to her, smiling as she did, and letting her wings stretch outward to let the girl see that she was an angel.

"I can't control it.... stay away.... just stay away." Sera could feel waves of energy flowing off her. The girl began to shake as the air began to tingle with energy. Sera had a few moments to do something or find cover.

"Hey... it's alright hon. I'm not going to hurt you. Just... try and calm down okay. The more you calm down, the more I'm sure it'll come under control. You just have to believe in yourself," Sera told the frightened girl calmly, quickly looking around for those bindings she'd brought with her from the tower, specifically the collar, which she'd quickly grab and start to put back onto the girl if she could find it, in hopes that would help calm those energies back down.

If she couldn't find it though, Sera would have to think of something else... and fast. Quickly, Sera remembered that it was fiery, and that she'd need something cold, or wet, to help combat this, and she summoned up her icy frost armor, so that at least if it was melted, it'd soak her with water and keep her from burning easily. Then she created a barrier of ice around both herself and the girl, making it thick and powerful so that it'd soak any fires out even if it melted, and then she'd try to calm the girl down. "Shh... it's alright young one. Just... cool down, I know you can do it. Okay... you just need to focus is all," Sera told her softly, hoping her gentle voice would calm her down, and seeing all the ice would also help calm her down, so she wouldn't worry about burning anything.


OOC: (Casting Frost Armor with a total of 10 EP, which will give her +30 AV and dodge, +30 cold dmg to all melee attacks, and +40 to escape grapples, and will have a final upkeep of 4 EP per turn. Then she's casting Polar Binding to create a barrier of ice around herself and the girl, with a total of 10 EP, which will have 120 HP and 20 AV, and hopes that it'll be enough to prevent the fires coming from the girl from hurting anyone else in the manor, and her armor will prevent herself from being hurt.)

(The spirit powers are of course, only if she can't find the collar and other bindings that had been sealing the girl's powers from before.)
