(which in the story aren't by any means cute and cuddly. They're about house-size with massive fangs and claws, with horns coming out from several parts of their body). Story-wise, Belgium at that time, was immensely obsessed with appearances, and a Belgian with such an appearance would have been socially shunned into suicide, if not killed;
So she was "cursed" to bear resemblance, but the resemblance wasn't the only thing that changed. She obtained traits from the rabbit, elk/deer, and hawk/eagle aspects of the Wolpertinger, including immense eyesight, smell, hearing, lots of muscle gain, specifically in the legs. Most of that 334lbs is muscle, thankfully its compacted due to the compact muscular nature of Deer/Elk.
Actually, I had actually started on a picture of the Wolpertingers that feature in that universe a while ago.
