While lurking around the Internets, I came across this German indie game - well, more of a visual novel - and I took it out for a test drive. I was so impressed that I thought I would start a thread about this game.
Official game website, a free Mega download of the latest version is on this page:
Apparently, this is a single person who is creating this game on weekends as a hobby. He has no Patreon page so your conscience ought to be okay with downloading it for free
As far of the story goes, you are a interstellar prospector, scanning asteroid belts for valuable minerals. During another typical day, you discover a base for a civilization that has been destroyed over 50 years ago. No signs of life, but a female voice begs you for help...
Made in 3dUnity, the graphics are very well done. There is a little bit of combat which is turned based [Only two fights so far, and you really want to lose the second one in the maintenance bay
].
There is also a mini hacking game that'll test your binary mathematics. You need to be able to hack if you want to continue with the story. If you really get stuck on the hacking game, there is a shortcut to defeat the game that is mentioned in the comments on the game website.
I also enjoy the character development. I'd have to say it is right up there with some professionally created games games.
My only drawback is that I have found that some Unity games and my computer don't get along. I often will have the game freezing, so if you are having any problems like me, you are going to want to save often. After every conversation at least. I've tried dumbing down my visual preferences before the game loads, and I still had problems. I'm sure I need to learn more about controlling my graphics.
Please try it out and comment here!
PS Btw, the author admits his English is less then desired, so yes, the text is sloppy, but it is very understandable. Just humourous at times!
