Monthly translation update is up.
This time I added DeepL as fallback endpoint in xunity config. This should alleviate the Google translate errors.
 
I've been trying this game for a few weeks in between other games but while i can finish the main storyline just fine, i remain firmly stuck with an issue when trying to trigger and advance the NTR routes for the Muku, Majime and Rindere main girls. So i've been wondering if either the game, the modpack or one of the mods i added is what's breaking those event lines. Or maybe even the maid fiddler cheat tool though i've only ever used it to max stats like dancing, cooking and other such stats, money or fix the names of the extra maids.

To be more specific, from my tests i determined that all 3 NTR routes follow a priority system Muku > Majime > Rindere (although it could just be the recruiting order) and that to trigger them you only need to reach the first VS Live (not even win it) and get those girls to Lover status.
So, as an example, triggering the Rindere NTR route works fine and i can follow the event line step by step, but as soon as i trigger the Majime or the Muku NTR routes, they overwrite the Rindere one and i find myself completely unable to continue the Rindere NTR route, i can schedule the next yotogi event but it simply refuse to unlock the next step which is an event at the end of the day that unlock the next yoyogi event.

PS : After doing a quick start with only the game itself and the modpack installed + CMI i still have the issue with NTR routes, the only thing left i can try is with the base game and no mods at all, though it'll wait until i'm done downloading the 2023 updated edition

Also before i forget, the modpack instructions tells us to remove duplicate menu files from the mod folder, but with only the modpack installed there are already a few such duplicate menus file. Starting the game throw me the following list in the attached file. Fixed thanks to inlolzwetrust

I know nothing about gameplay and NTR routes. Someone else could give you an answer
As for the dupes, it is clearly written in the guide that you must remove [CMI] Uncensor folder. That lip menu dupe is probably from the dlc librarian kasume folder that came with the repack you downloaded. Delete that too. It's already in the modpack.

I had already removed the [CMI] Uncensor folder as per the instructions, though i forgot about the 1 duplicate menu in the DLC Librarian Kasume. But then that's only 1 menu file out of 33. So what of the 32 remaining ones?

PS : I just restarted the game and no more dupes, now that i remember, i removed the [CMI] Uncensor folder while the game was already started because i noticed i forgot to do so. With removing the lipstick folder from the DLC i no longer have any dupe.

Welp didn't play for months and now I have to spend atleast one weekend to get everything up to date... stupid rediculously massive great game >_>
 
The official translation of COM3D2 is a poorly edited MTL, lol. I remember playing this game a few years ago with a fan translation that actually made sense, does anyone know what I'm talking about and where to find it, so I can port it to this version?

The official translation is ported from eng version. The other half is MTL done with Sugoi Tanslator offline model v4.
A difference in quality is to be expected.
I haven't played through the game so I've no idea how good or bad it is. I'm only doing the logistics with everything I have available.
Is the official translation really that bad? And how can you tell which part is official and which one is MTL?

The official translation is really low quality, I also played the official eng version previously. I more or less know which parts of the game were in the official version (for example the main story, most of the events for the three main girls, etc), and which weren't. I'd say that the MTL (which was also edited, from what I know) is sometimes more readable than the official translation.

Auto restore configs is a dumb thing to do anyway. Perform clean install and manually restore only the configs you really need such as the i18nEx folder since you don't want to extract a gazillion translation script files again and maybe configs for Xunity, ShapekeyMaster and whatever else you used and altered default configs.
 
Anyne knows how to get the update .nei files in COM3D2_ROOT/Mod/csv_action_dance? I did not have the ones for the newer songs.

I've tried updating the game via CMI, but just as I suspected from reading its manual, the folder isn't updated with new .nei files. My next guess is to download the latest year edition again, but do they contains the up-to-date files?

CMI has nothing to do with dance subtitles. It's the CMI_Difference_Module that has them. I spent some time extracting them from eng version and removing the ones that are already in the jap version. Nobody can guarantee that they work though even if you place the missing nei files in their respective paths.
 
Okay, either im blind or crazy 'cause the most recent modpack link sends me to pastebin which sends me to base64 which sends me to cryptpad which sends me back here with nary a download link in sight. What gives?

You might have autocomplete or something in the address bar and sends you to the wrong link

@inlulzwetrust problems with decoding using base64 decode. I get a part of the normal address as a result, but there are such parts - ��µ�⧧3sn�
