No, this is not Octopath Traveler inspired game despite there being 8 characters to pick from.
A sort-of open world RPG with multiple endings.
The plot is that you've come to this Snow Village at the edge of the world to get away from all the war and just want to [live peacefully] (yes, regardless of which character you pick)
You can always go to the house at the south end of this village to just see what ending you get at any point (including from the very start)
Combat is typical RPG.
Though most of the initial enemies will totally kick your ass if you're solo, so highly recommend having the full party of 4 before leaving the first village.
'Quest' are all from talking to people, however there's nothing like quest tracker page so you'll have to remember who ask you what to do your quests.
for example, the village elder from snow village ask you to buy a medicine from a village south from there and give you 1000g to pay for it
the 2nd village elder will tell you to go mine this precious rock in the mine, then he will actually take 1000g from you (which I assume he won't give you if you use up those money)
then you can go back to turn the medicine in, getting you 3000g
There's CG room which also let you change who's your 'main' character. (you go in there with the character you want to change to, then checking the top magic circle will ask if you want to switch)
The other 7 are always in the PUB of Snow Village, and you have an item to always warp back to this village.
The 8 characters possible are (based on the selection at the start)
First you pick between Combat Type, Magic Type, and Specialist
Combat:
Mercenary - Just your good old musclebrain girl. Strong physically, weak to magic. Has special ability to keep TP between fights.
Princess Knight - Well balanced stats. Low HP tho. Special ability is increasing the chance of your side getting 1 free turn at the start of combat.
Martial Artist - the Monk character, can learn self heal/cure, extremely strong normal attack. But she has 0 AoE and has paper defense. Have high chance to crit, auto-regen, extra evasion and chance to stun on attack.
Magic:
Sorceress - The typical mage character, spell spell spell, paper defense, etc. Her high MP pool does allow for her to play as pseudo-healer with certain accessories.
Cleric - The Paladin, have healings and high defense (can wear heavy armor) but low attack power
Elf - She use 'secret medicine' to do things, attacks with these medicines are very powerful. However, her average stat is below others.
Specialist:
Merchant - Can wear heavy armor and guns have very high stat, but her own attack stat basically don't grow much if at all. Also won't really learn any attack skill. But she make enemies more likely to drop item/increase gold gain and during combat healing items are more effective.
Ninja - Has magic and tools, however her tool skill (in the trial she star with shuriken throw) requires having certain items in your bag to consume them.

In term of H content, so far I've found things like a fellatio skill from an equipment that show a cut-in and 'tire out' the enemy.
And when talking to a priest to resurrect your dead companions, he might accept sexual payment instead.
There's pregnancy chance tracking, vaginal status, and mental state as well. (there's standing pic/CG variation when pregnant)
There seem to be a decent variation in H content (admittedly all characters have the same type of scenes + variation when pregnant, like if there's a 'gangrape' scene, all 8 will have pretty much the same pose in that scene)
