Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"For oranges indeed you two... and I love you both," Giselle mumbled as they streaked out the door, hopping over Cos's unconscious form.

"Yes I am... and to be honest... it's really not that much different than usual from back home. She was kind of like that there too, hmhm," Giselle said, feeling more cheerful than she had been as she watched the two go. "And yes I do... but it was love at first sight, Tidecaller. I can do nothing about that," Giselle then murmured to Tidecaller after he'd spoken.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Terra just shook her head and picked up Cosimo like he weighed nothing at all, tossed over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes. Well let's go. We get a room or 3, and rest. And then back at it tomorrow. At least the city is fairly empty save the harbor. she said, leading Giselle upstairs. No real keys, just pick one I guess, I need to put trigger happy here to bed.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Alright, and thank you again Terra. You don't know how much it means to me," Giselle told the priestess, smiling softly as she followed her up the steps, helping with Cos if need be, picking out the room with the best view of the water, where she climbed into bed and closed her eyes, sighing softly as she did, and wondering what tomorrow would bring, and if it would be good or not.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Giselle found a room that was mostly intact, and saw that they locked from the inside with a drop bar. Once that was done it was collapse into bed and sleep. Sleeeep.

She was standing in the ocean again, listening to the Banshee sing, but something was hurting her chest, something cold and well intentioned but dangerous. Kylie's medallion from the house was resting around her neck and the soft sound of wings above her snapped her gaze back up to a woman she recognized from the painting she'd kept. The family portrait.

Giselle had heard Kylie say her name, once, just once. Cammy, and despite being a little taller, and with a sharper nose and higher cheekbones, she was near identicle to Kylie. She landed on the water in front of Giselle and glared. She could very well be the mother-in-law from hell and judging by her black wings and heavy sword, she worked for someone else now and she was less then pleased.

I see that... Thing, found something to breed with. Wonderful. she said venomously. Had I known what had happened I would have smothered her in the crib myself. Birthing a monster. an honest to the gods Monster created by the fallen Madman who defiled my body to do it. And her father just... leaves a medallion and sails away. she said softly, looking at Giselle with no love in her eyes for anyone.

But of course she's a monster, she's His child after all. And he's no better. You'd be doing the entire world a favor by killing her now. Her Brother never passed on to join me, where we could Dismantle him and set things right, and now she's awake, and worse, broken apart. She's so far from mortal anymore we won't get the chance and worse still, you.... You continued the bloodline of that... That Thing. Wee Jas' sick and twisted experiment.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Fixing the drop bar in place to lock the door up, Giselle flopped into the bed and quickly fell asleep, her body exhausted from the day's events.

...

Giselle's dream realm opened up not long after sleep overtook her, and she was standing in the water again from what she could tell. She felt a pain in her chest though, and reached up to gently touch the spot that ached, and she looked down to spot that strange medallion she'd found in Kylie's old bedroom. Then, she heard... the flapping of wings it sounded like, coming from above. Looking up, Giselle wondered what was making that noise.

When she saw what, or who it was, rather, Giselle gasped softly, as the woman, who looked the spitting image of Kyle, or rather Kylie was the spitting image of her. Watching the black winged mother of Kylie land in front of her, Giselle glared right back. "You aren't Kylie's mother. No mother would ever say such a thing of their child... no true mother at least. And Wee Jas has no say in the matter anymore. When I first met Kylie, she looked as much like a human as any other to me, and she loves me. That is all I need to know that she's not the monster you claim she is," Giselle said back in just as soft, yet cold tone.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Hahahaha You don't know what that's for do you... she answered, pointing her sword at the coin Giselle was wearing. There were weak moments where I could forget what she was. But they were rare... When she was an infant, it was the strangest thing... People would get sick, animals would die, plants would wither. She sucked the life out of everything around her like a tiny crying death bringing void. she said. Until Cosimo brought That. You know what that is? It's changed it's shape certainly, reforged. That's a Mages Breaking Collar. It's used to completely seal a caster's ability to draw on their power. To take Everything from them. She had to wear that every moment of every day. I see that medallion and I Remember what she is. My husband believed it was a rare talent, good lord the man was easy to lie to. Never figured out he wasn't her father. Same with Reginald. He was Barren. she muttered.

I loved that man, dearly and he wanted children, so I found a man to give us Children. And what do I get? Nightmares and taunting laughter and promises from a dark god that my children would be his Greatest Masterpiece.... I always knew... So I found the codex, thought Surely there was a way to undo this all, make her my child, burn out this Abomination inside her. I died the night I learned the truth... She's just a monster. If you wont fix it, when I find a way inside, I will Siren. I will remove that stain I left on the earth and hunt down her brother to finish the job. I know that foolish pirate is to blame somehow for him never passing on. she spat. Dust to Dust, after all.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"I think the term you're looking for is impotent. Barren would be if you were the one unable to have children," Giselle said, more just to get under this woman's skin than anything. "Now that you've said your piece... you're going to hear mine. I love Kylie, plain and simple. The moment I met her, my heart skipped a beat. I would never trade her for anything in the world... save one thing, and then I would only do it because I know that she would never forgive me if I didn't. That thing would be our children. But I don't intend on losing either of them. And she never asked to be brought into this world either, she was brought into it, by you. And now you wish to selfishly try and take her from me, someone who loves Kylie with all her heart. If you ever truly loved Kylie and or Reggie, or your husband for that matter, then you would never speak like this. You aren't Cammy, you couldn't possibly be the loving mother I was told you were. Now... BEGONE FROM MY DREAMS AND LEAVE US IN PEACE!" Giselle said after a few moments, shouting out with her fury at the black winged woman who claimed to be Kylie's mother, driving her out of her mind.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

I'll be waiting Siren... Always waiting. My Queen will have her way and I will have mine. she said in parting before Giselle's scream broke the dream, causing her to wake up in a cold sweat, a raven's feather sitting on her windowsill.

Cosimo was Kylie's actual father... How much did he know about all this?

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"And I will be watching... always. I will not have my love taken, stolen from me, yet again. No more, I am tired of being hurt like that," Giselle said as the dream faded.

...

Giselle shot up out of the bed as she gasped, a cold sweat on her face as she sat there under the covers. Looking over at the windowsill, Giselle took the feather and held onto it for now, stuffing it into her pocket. Swinging her legs over the side of the bed, Giselle stood up and looked out the window over the water, thinking of what had been told to her by Kylie's own mother in her dream... if that even was Cammy. There was a lot more going on here than she'd been told before, and more forces at work trying to take Kylie away from her.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Tidecaller helped her, of all things, through the shock of the dream by showing her a memory of her very own that helped put her worries at ease. It was the moment Kylie's body had awoken fully, when Kord and Sehanine and Lolth had put their support fully behind Kylie's right to live as she was by getting in the way of Fatespinner themselves. There were just as many forces trying to keep them together as there were trying to tear them apart. Believe it or not, despite her nature, though Melora does not Care one way or the other, if your lover dies, she Does believe in your ability to succeed in reclaiming her. That is just her way. It is why I am here after all... he whispered to her. She helps you primarily at Kord's request, he's quite taken with the girl. Though she wishes fervently for one of her own children to succeed. It is their old dance after all, the ocean, and the sky.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Mmm, I guessed he was taken with her, what with her ability to call lightning and stuff, with him being the storm lord and all I mean," Giselle said, chuckling a bit. "Well now, Tidecaller... you probably saw my dream, being connected to me and all now. Was that really Kylie's mother, you think?" Giselle went on to say after a few moments, staring out over the water, waiting for his answer before she went to find Terra, Cos, and breakfast, assuming it was morning that is.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

She is. That's her. But there's a more interesting question to ask. Why warn you? He asked her, seeming contemplative. It was morning, and heading down to find Terra and Cos, she'd see Cosimo with a hangover and Terra eating bacon and eggs in front of him just to make him squirm. And something else as she got closer.

There was a picture drawn on the table in bright green crayon, the wax obvious on the wood. It was a little.... well, there was no telling what it was, it had a big head and pointy teeth, and short bent legs, and tiny wavey little T-rex arms and behind it was a bunch of blue circles. It seemed pretty happy.

Scribbles.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Aye, that is the bigger and more interesting question I guess. Why did she warn me? Does she really want me to save Kylie and Reggie, maybe," Giselle replied to Tidecaller, sighing a bit before shaking her head.

Heading downstairs, she found Cos nursing a hangover, while Terra was teasing him by eating bacon and eggs right in front of him. Then she saw something odd, and stared at the little crayon drawing, and as she stared at the thing for a few moments, she realized that it was Hecate. "Buddy... I think Hecate's nearby," Giselle whispered to Tidecaller under her breath before taking a seat next to Terra.

"So... Cos, what happened last night? And Terra, can I get some breakfast too?" Giselle asked the two sitting with her, worried about speaking of her dream for the moment, at least to Cosimo anyway, the poor guy didn't need even more to muddle up his mind.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

I cannot use your ring, I do not know if She is still around. he answered while Cosimo groaned and rubbed his head, Terra waving frantically at the bartender and pointing at her own plate, another brought out for Giselle.

He has no idea, he's always so careful with his pistols. Terra teased, Cosimo snorting. I am, they NEVER backfire. What... I don't know. first talking animals and then my face blown off. I obviously had too much to drink, That's what happened. he answered.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Aye I know," Giselle answered Tidecaller, doing just that, and using her ring to try and feel out Hecate.

"Thanks Terra. And Cos, I didn't mean about the pistols. I meant what happened before you came in last night. You were already half drunk, or more, at that point. Something seemed to be bothering you," Giselle said to the two, glancing at Cos. "But about the pistols though... heh, and I thought I could go off prematurely," she then said, teasing him about the pistols, just because she could.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Just the letters to the kind and having to listen to other captains honoring the flag and my position. Diplomacy. I fucking Hate it. But I can't very well control the harbor without making it clear as day. That's all. he answered while Terra snorted at Giselle's joke.

Breakfast was delicious.

her ring told her Hecate was wandering around the city pretty aimlessly, and in a very good mood. She was about 6 miles off. Seemed Hecate didn't sleep. Just ate. There was one other compulsion, Breed. Seemed she was looking for females to lay eggs in.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Ah I see. Well, as long as you're okay then I won't bother you about it anymore," Giselle said, winking at Terra when she'd snorted at her joke.

Feeling out for Hecate... Giselle found her a ways off, though not too very far off it seemed. She hrm'd thoughtfully as she sensed her, and her new desire... which was to breed. "Well, that's... different. But, at the same time... maybe I could use that to my advantage," Giselle muttered, where Cos and Terra would likely look at her questioningly. "Cos, do the Amaranthine's have any safe houses nearby that you know of? With female agents, specifically, in them," Giselle asked Cosimo curiously, not explaining too much into it just yet, but inwardly grinning to Tidecaller.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

As to genders and such I have no idea, but amaranthine safehouses and bases? we know a few of them... why? I mean if you want specifics, there was a large one in the merchant quarter of the city still active... he answered, looking confused while Tidecaller cackled with honest laughter inside her soul

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Oh you know what I'm thinking, don't you buddy," Giselle thought in her head, grinning wickedly. "Well, let's just say that I feel like paying one a visit. Let them know to stop fucking with me while I'm here in town. Plus, it may net us a piece of Kylie in the process... one of her more... dangerous ones," she then told Cosimo, grinning wickedly outwardly now too.

"To put it simple, I want to lure Hecate to this Amaranthine den, and let her go to her hearts content. She's got more desires than just feeding right now, I can feel it... thanks to this ring Kylie gave me. This way, we deal a blow to them, and after Hecate's calmed down and worked all of her stress out, I take her somewhere safe. And with any luck, Riss will be there too for me to obliterate him," Giselle said after a few moments, to try and explain a bit.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Cosimo shrugged. Just hit the manwhole near the butchers shop there then I guess. I know it's close by down there. The exact where is a no go but have fun. Cosimo said, shrugging while Giselle planned and plotted evvvvil.
