Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"M'kay, thanks Cos, and hopefully here shortly, I'll have Hecate under control, and have eliminated a thorn in our side. Hecate ought to be able to sniff them out, assuming I can get her to come over there with me willingly," Giselle said, nodding to Cos, and when her food arrived, she ate heartily, knowing that she'd need the energy it provided.

If Cos left at any point while she ate, Giselle would make sure he was gone, before leaning in close to Terra where she'd tap her on the shoulder. "Terra, I need to tell you something, in private preferably," Giselle would whisper to Terra.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Cosimo shrugged again and left, stretching and checking his weapons, off to fight the shitty fight.

Terra raised an eyebrow. What is it?

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"I... had a dream last night. A... strange one. One that I think I ought to describe to you," Giselle whispered to Terra, looking worriedly about the dream.

She would describe what had happened as best she could, remaining quiet so nobody overheard them easily, if they were even listening. "I... worry what might happen if she really shows up. What Cos might say or do, what Kylie might say or do, assuming I've put her back together at that point," Giselle whispered, looking troubled by the dream.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

So cammy's gone off the deep end.... This isn't good. Terra muttered, looking worried. Don't confuse her, she means everything she says but there's something else at play here... She wanted to kill Kylie several times when she was youngest. Cosimo forbid it. And like it or not, he was both Kylie's true father, and her Patriarch. There was no ignoring that order... Raped by a God to Birth a Demon. Those were the words she used... Terra said darkly, shaking her head.

If she gets in here and makes an honest go at Kylie, what do you Think Kylie would do, and truthfully in the end what that would Do to her... She said, while Kalt, high in her mountain lair, spoke unbidden to Giselle.

Oooo yes... Mother dearest Mother Dearest. The others have forgotten but I never have... Mother Dearest Sweet Mother Dearest I'll drag us all to the promised lands...

The sing song tone sent violent chills down Giselle's spine... The more worrying future was what would happen if Cammy came for Kylie, Before she was put back together... Kalt would go on a rampage...

I could end i in fire... the voice continued, a vision of all of Garellia burning in an inferno blazing through Giselle's mind. Or in Ice... she continued, the country forever frozen. Or open the Void in Hecate's being now wouldn't that be nice... this last image was the most terrifying, as a singularity of nothingness opened in the heart of the city-state, and devoured the entire landmass...

Come for me Mother Dearest... I'm waiting.... I'm eager.... Let's test your hatred against mine... it devolved from that point into insane laughter that carried on and on until the connection broke. Even Whole all those futures may still happen if Kalt had her way, and judging from what Gale had said, she Usually did if she was awake.

I have no idea Giselle. focus on what we can deal with, deal with cammy later.... she said.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Hmm... and I also found this on my windowsill too, Terra," Giselle said, showing the raven feather. "And... I won't let Cammy get near her, if I can help it. I don't care what she says, or wants. She's dead, and gone. I'm sorry that she is, but, she chose to have Kylie. She could have just as easily aborted her, we all know she could have with some Moontea or just anything like that," she added, before hearing Kalt's words ringing through her mind, and feeling a tremor go down her spine, the visions making her blood run cold.

"I don't think even Cammy understands what she may unleash if she enters into this picture in a detrimental way," Giselle said softly, shaking her head slightly. "And now I'm actually worried about having Hecate do what I was originally planning," she added to Tidecaller after the visions had gone, informing him of all of them and what Kalt had said, assuming he hadn't seen and heard them himself.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

What a terrifying spirit.... Magic flocks to her chosen form like crows to carrion. Soldier on with your plan, the sooner Hecate is under at the very least control, the easier we can keep them seperate. He answered smoothly. I think Gale has the ages of the shards all wrong. If I had to guess... they're all the same age but woke up in different orders.. If this one remembers Cammy's... umm... Less motherly tendencies, then she remembers infancy. More, she remembers time before birth. She's been awake longer then all the others... He said, musing on Kalt and her relation to the other shards.

Terra meanwhile seemed disturbed by the whole thing. To be honest I never believed Cammy had the guts to do it... She came to me several times during the pregnancy to talk about the voice she heard. That... Thing Melora drove out in my temple. Wee Jas... If it was true it would drive anyone to insanity and desperation. But maybe that was his plan. She sought out and Found the codex didn't she.... Maybe she was Meant to... she said softly, sighing and standing up. I need to go pray. You do... whatever it is you're doing, Be careful Giselle. she said, heading away with the Raven's feather.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Aye, I was thinking something similar to that, though I wasn't thinking quite that far back. But... then again, it would make sense actually, now that you mention it buddy," Giselle thought back to Tidecaller, deciding to go through with her plan for now, as he was right, that Hecate needed to be reeled in as soon as possible, and in this way, she could possibly get rid of that Riss fellow, and some of the Amaranthine's in the process, who would try and stop her.

"Alright Terra, and you be careful too. And, gods I hate to ask this of you, but I may need to bring Hecate to the temple, because that's where Kylie's body is. The more pieces of her soul that she's got in there, especially the stronger ones, then the more likely she'll be able to hold out," Giselle told Terra, nodding and getting up as well, grabbing her naginata, and the rest of her gear, and heading out to find Hecate, and keeping a low profile when she could, after redoing her spells for her appearance to make her at least look human for the most part.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Refixing her appearance and with alot to think on, she headed out, looking for Hecate, who was In the right district, but seemed to be wandering around, Sniffing, and wandering some more while she... Scribbled.

It took her an hour to find Hecate and when she did she hardly recognized her. She was much smaller, maybe 3 foot tall, and looked a good deal like the doodle Giselle had found in the bar. She had a wiggly tail behind her, two digigrade legs with wide toes, a wide head with 6 blinking eyes, and the most impressive mouth Giselle had ever seen on well, ANYTHING.

Her head was wider then her body and she turned to look at Giselle, tail wiggling happily, a crayon in each stubby little hand as she drew on the wall. She opened her mouth and a long, thick, hollow tube of a tongue slid out from behind all those big teeth. She seemed genuinely happy to see Giselle and this body seemed much more solid then the others Giselle had seen her in. The box of crayons in question was hanging around her neck tied with yarn and old. Likely scavenged from the house. With the secret room. That had survived a necrotic dragon bombing. Her body itself was chitonous and shiny, and a happy light blue in color with bands of orange and red stripes in between the plates and she wandered over to Giselle looking up at her and waving her crayons.

Moving on out, Giselle eventually came to near where Hecate was, and when she rounded a corner and spotted her, she was doodling on the walls. Giselle wasn't concerned with her appearance, and it didn't scare her or anything. She smiled at Hecate and knelt down as she came over, and gently reached out to hug the little Hecate, smiling as she did. "Come on honey, I'll let you doodle all over everything, shortly. For now, I can tell that you're looking for a chance to nom on something, as well as... other needs. I'll take you to a place where you can fulfill both of those desires. Does that sound nice? But you got to stay with me okay, or I won't be able to take you there," Giselle told Hecate, leaning down and pecking her on the cheek without an ounce of fear.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Hecate wiggled and ran around Giselle happily as she got her kiss before speaking. Her voice was... Guttural, like it was hard for her to talk at all but that she could HUNNNGRY... HAPPPPPY. she said, curling up into a ball to gnaw on her own tail a bit before blinking up at Giselle and tilting her head, nodding about getting to go somewhere.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"I know you are honey, and I'll make sure you got plenty to eat, hmhm," Giselle said, giggling as Hecate rolled around and gnawed on her own tail a bit and spoke, looking quite happy herself, to have found Hecate.

She reached down and, if allowed, scooped Hecate up and pulled her cloak around in front of her to cover her up so nobody saw her. She then headed towards where Cosimo had mentioned, if possible, where the Amaranthine hideout near the market was, looking for the butcher in question. If it would take a more... round about approach though to keep anyone from seeing them, specifically guards, or anyone tailing them, then Giselle would slip up to the rooftops as best she could and head over them to get to her destination.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

There was no picking up Hecate, though Hecate was certainly happy to get another hug. She weighed what seemed to be a Literal ton. The little bouncy void monster as dense as Iron... or a black hole. But she moved quietly and agilely, it was impressive.

Heading up to the rooftops, Hecate used long limbs made of that smokey shadow Giselle had seen her well... Wearing as a body earlier to follow her up, wearing the cloak and following her. Kitty. Doggy. No eat. Family. Shiny Men Eat. Dead men Eat. Magic eat. Not Kitty. Not Doggy. Not Gis... Gi... Gissssselle she croaked, making that odd clicking hiss again afterwards and looking happy with herself, trying to fidget her crayons back into their box. So she wasn't stupid, maybe a little Simple in her desires, but not unintelligent.

Where Go? she asked, Jumping a bit like a chicken to get across rooftops with Giselle. Orange?

Giselle wouldn't have a Ton of trouble finding the place, it was in a large central plaza on the main highway. And the Guards made a point of Not looking up probably because they didn't want to be murdered as the cloaked monster and Giselle made their way across to "Fenways Butcher and Dairy", the manhole cover Cosimo mentioned being behind the shop down an alley. Hard to see from the street.

Hecate had raised her head and sniffed the air. Smell Red Peoples. Eat? she asked, nosing at Giselle

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Giselle, seeing that she couldn't pick Hecate up, didn't try to force it, but did hug her again. After getting up to the roofs, Giselle giggled softly as Hecate spoke to her, nodding. "Mhm, Giselle. I'm Giselle. And Kina and Kuna are puppy and kitty. No eat them. And no eat other parts of you either, else it'll hurt," Giselle told her, smiling warmly down at her. "Oh don't you worry honey, I'll get you some oranges as soon as I can find some... or rather, the ones I'm sure kitty and puppy found," she added, petting Hecate on the head.

After arriving at the butcher, Giselle looked around for the manhole he'd mentioned, finally spotting it down in an alleyway behind the butcher shop. "Red peoples... Amaranthine's? Ones with red masks like last time? If so, then yes, eat them. That's where we're going," Giselle asked curiously, smiling and winking at Hecate before hopping down to the alley, and opening the manhole cover, and slipping down in there, motioning Hecate down with her.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Hecate had been given permission to Eat. Not that she Needed permission, but eh, what could you do. Snuffling around the alley, when the manhole cover opened, Hecate jumped down into the sewer with Giselle and sniffed the air again, her 6 eyes glowing brightly down here and her body color shifting from blue and red to black on black. While she'd been kinda cute up above in the light, down here she was just six eyes and Giselle would understand how terrifying that was considering she knew what kind of Mouth this little creature had.

And it's appetite.

The manhole dropped into a 4 way split and Hecate fixated on the rightmost one, heading towards the center of the city, hissing and clicking hungrily, before spitting some kind of acid out of her mouth to melt the stones, starting to eat them, her body growing a shadowy covering. It was small, and her shape hadn't changed but if this was how it all worked, then Giselle was pretty fucking certain she'd be her gigantic monstrous self in no time flat.

Eat... Hungry.... Prey.... Hecate hissed quietly, bobbing and weaving on her feet as she ate paving stone like it was butter, crunching it in her jaws without a single problem at all, snatching rocks up with her tongue and crushing them into dust before swallowing, eyes still locked down the tunnel.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Damn, seeing those eyes and barely anything else in this enclosed of a space, wold terrify me enough to piss my pants if I hadn't seen her before," Giselle thought to Tidecaller, chuckling softly as she pet Hecate again.

After dropping in and looking around, Giselle followed Hecate's lead and smiled to her. "If the red masked peoples are that way, then that's the way we go honey," Giselle whispered to Hecate, gently patting her head again and letting her go to town on the sewer wall, and drawing her naginata just in case someone tried to sneak up on them, and preparing to do whatever she had to in order to protect Hecate.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Getting the go ahead, Hecate proved she was the sneakiest shard ever, by tilting her head back, and extending her tongue... and Bugleing. Dun Da Dun Dadun Dadun DaDAAA!!! and charging down the sewer tunnel like a little bolt, stone crunching under her feet. Yup, definitely sneaky right now. Though Giselle could tell she was happier and hungrier then usual. She was probably just excited.

Following behind it was probably for the best because if they ran into anyone, Scratch that, Anyone ELSE. Hecate had just launched herself into a man's chest and LITERALLY bitten his face off, they wouldn't be looking at her, the man's dying scream cut VERY short as Hecate made Very short work of the body. 44 seconds Tidecaller informed her, for her to take a fully grown man in gear, red mask included, to be devoured to literally nothing left but a blood stain before Hecate was charging down the tunnel again, following her nose.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Seeing Hecate raise her head up and sound her little charge, Giselle barely held herself back, and threw her left hand over her mouth and laughed, chasing after Hecate. She could tell that Hecate was excited, and the fact that she was so excited, was making Giselle excited too. As they ran into one of the red masked men, Giselle was about to hurl her Naginata at him, until Hecate dove into him and... fucking just goddamn ate his ass... like, fucking completely.

"Holy shit, hearing it is one thing, imagining it another. But seeing it... fuck me that's frightening," Giselle thought to herself.

Once the body was gone, Giselle followed again, smiling and praising Hecate with another pat on the head. "Let's find the others here honey. Come on," Giselle told her, following close behind, with no fear at all.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Following Hecate was a chore when she was this worked up, but she enjoyed the head pat, sounded ANOTHER bugle, and charged off again, soon reaching a barred door. Several globular spits, at almost 70 feet away, seared it into kindling as alarmed cries and shouts sounded before Hecate barreled through it.

All eyes were on the monster that had suddenly crashed into a well lit den full of people. And Hecate's body immediately billowed black smoke through the room, the little hungry monster spitting something at any women it saw, glueing them to whatever it hit behind them, blinding them, whatever Hecate needed to do to pin them, while she crashed, charged, bit, spit, and stabbed with her shadows anyone else in the room. She was a whirlwind of carnage and purpose in those first panicked seconds of surprise and if she bit someone, she generally took off entire limbs and swallowed them, some trying to fight, most trying to get the hell away. HUNGRY! EAT! Hecate roared as darts and blades glanced off her tough little body or like when Giselle had fought her, caused a wound only for a harsh bite or inhaling an errant spell in the chaos immediately fixed the problem. Giselle wasn't even sure she wanted to go in and try to help...

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Giselle was soon panting softly as she scrambled to catch Hecate, the little thing moving quite fast. She charged up to the door as Hecate melted the thing, and watched from there as Hecate... quite literally took the place apart. Watching as Hecate pinned some of the women to the walls behind them. Giselle didn't really go into the room, unless there was another route of escape, in which case she would move in and stop them from escaping through it.

"Nope, you're not getting out of here that easily. Now tell me. Where's Riss?" Giselle said to any that she caught, while Hecate was taking on the rest of the room, likely having to go to one of the women pinned to the wall.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

There was another way out, and Giselle found herself bounding through the insane melee to plant herself firmly in the entrance to one of the tunnels, before catching sight of Riss running down it fast and hard, not wanting anything to do with Either of them in the chaos. She didn't need to ask, just chase and before she knew it she was leaving everyone to their fates at Hecate's... um... tiny t-rex hands, and chargin after Riss into the mazelike tunnels, his bald head nice and shiny for her to follow.

She could follow the magic missiles he sent her way to, but those were less helpful.
