Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"I.. wish to see my child, and am willing to change, for his, or her, sake," the younger minotaur said, helping the elven girl to stand, before she went with Sheena, and the neko.

The other minotaur looked equally bitter at Kylie's ruling on the matter, and looked like he wanted to punch her for it, but he did nothing about it really, in the end, either because he was a coward, or simply knew better. By the time they got back to the others, Kylie saw Nog had gotten the others sorted out, with the help of Lana, the other younger minotaur whose pregnant mate was with them, and a couple of the other older ex-slaves.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

That is good. Hold that true in your heart. Kylie told the younger minotaur before glaring right back at the older one. If you want to challenge me for the right to lead. 10 others tried it at once in the last village. You can guess how that ended. Remember that bitter taste in your mouth, it's all tangling with me will ever get you. she told him softly, whispering so he had to listen to hear her.

But he backed down and she moved on. What's your name? she asked the new minotaur who joined them, before asking the same of the elf and neko. Once she had that, she let the slaves arrange themselves as to how they saw fit. They did a marvelous job of taking care of eachother on what was admittedly a stressful time.

Nog, we should leave quickly enough. Sheena, can you take the rearguard for now? she said to the minotaur first, before turning to Sheena and asking.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Jaro, m-my name's Jaro," the minotaur replied hastily, looking a bit frightened of Kylie, to say the least.

"My name is Risa," the elf girl said as they walked onward, keeping her distance from Jaro at the moment, but not too much.

"Aya," was all the neko replied with, simply giving her name.

When Kylie asked Sheena to take the rearguard, the human nodded and moved on to the rear of the group. "Alright, but tonight you get some sleep, okay," Sheena told Kylie with a smirk.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Uhh huh. Kylie answered to sheena, waving her hand back and forth before turning to Aya. I know another Aya back home, an adorable little thing who works as a priestess. Where is your home? Kylie asked her curiously

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"I'm from the east. But I don't know if I want to go back honestly. Too many bad memories. When I was taken, my mother and I weren't on very good terms. It's partly the reason I got caught out, like I did. We'd gotten into an argument and both of us said some things to each other that... I deeply regret," Aya said with a sigh. "Maybe I could join your other Aya and be a priestess or something," she added after a few moments.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

I would be happy to make introductions and take you to feynrial with me. What you do with your life now is up to you Aya. Kylie said. For now lets just focus on getting home then Aya. Please relax, you're safe with us. she said, reaching out to pat her shoulder as they walked.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"I... thank you. It's... really difficult right now, and been so long since I've had anyone really be... so nice. Really makes you feel alive again, you know," Aya replied with a sigh. "I really wish we'd have met on better circumstances, and I... would like to go find my mother though, sometime. To tell her that I'm sorry," she went on to say after a few moments.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

I'm more then certain I can help with that to. I'm calling a summit in Tear cove in a month, or just under, and well. I have a friend with very broad wings. And yes... kindness after you've been without is.... a strange but good feeling. Just don't close yourself off. People are afraid of me certainly, but I came all this way for you guys, to end this insanity. I didn't do it because I hate minotaurs. Quite the opposite. They can be strong and brave and honest and so very loyal. There's a lot there that can be admired in the southern tribes. But here, further north... this all had to stop. Kylie said sadly, yoinking Aya into a hug from the side.

But you'll have a place in Feynrial for as long as you need. I can promise you that. Same with all the other girls who don't want to go home, or have no home to go to. I'll make it happen I promise. she said honestly.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Aya smiled softly at Kylie's words and leaned into the hug Kylie gave her, looking to be more at ease, after that. "Thank you, miss Kylie. I truly appreciate it. It'll give me a chance to decide on what I want to do, and stuff," Aya replied, smiling for the first time since Kylie met her.

"Say Kylie, if you need any heavy lifting done, I can help. I don't mind," Lana said when Kylie came back, cheerfully smiling.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Making sure Aya was good and snugged and feeling better, she slipped away when Lana came up and offered to help Kylie chuckled and looked around before shrugging. Normally there's always something needs doing. more then anything right now Lana some of the girls with injuries or exhaustion need your help more. I'm in the lead in case we stumble into something, and Sheena is in the back so nothing clips in on us from behind. The sides are most vulnerable but with so many people, they can hold out until I can get there, or the Minotaurs and Goliaths here. If you wanna be all muscly and impressive, help out those who are hurting the most. See if you can get us some splints and stretchers made. Those chains are murder on the ankles and legs and some of the girls are still limping. Get them bandaged up, BUT if there's bad swelling, bring them straight to me. Kylie said, giving Lana and actual job.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Um... o-okay then. I'll go and do that. But, what are... stretchers? I know what a splint is, but I don't really know about the other, I've never really heard of it before," Lana replied, while Kylie saw Nog sigh softly not far behind Lana.

"We don't really use them very often, because we're so large, it's simply too difficult to make one that would bear one of us easily," Nog explained to Kylie.

"Well if the elder ever needed a shoulder to lean on, he had me, and on occasion I would carry him on my back," Lana said after Nog spoke, to which Nog's eyes went wide with surprise.

"You... carried him?" Nog asked with an almost incredulous look on his face.

"Mhm, he was heavy, but not too heavy," Lana replied with a shrug, as if she didn't see anything wrong with that.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie laughed between Nog and Lana, before patting their shoulders both. Lana honey, a stretcher is a piece of thick cloth or anything that will substitute tied to a pair of long poles to carry a person who cannot walk on their own. If you can bind a person firmly to one, you can also carry it on your back instead of between two people. Run along, try not to scare Nog anymore hahaha she said, shooing Lana along.

You know Nog, I was told by one of your elders that I was lucky to be so strong at my age. It comes from where you're raised. Imagine what My childhood was like. I was human until 3 years ago. she said, raising an eyebrow mischievously and continuing along.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"O-Okay, I think I can figure that out. It shouldn't be too tough, I don't think," Lana said with a smile, before heading out to do what Kylie had explained.

"Aye, I suppose. And I honestly don't want to know about your childhood, what made you as strong and as... menacing, as you are, despite your size," Nog told Kylie with a smirk, giving a little shudder at the mere thought.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

There's your answer then. Kylie said, letting that thought marinade in his mind. She'd had it rougher then any of them. By her own blessing! Bitch was crazy.

Letting Lana do her thing, and continuing the march, she was so close to taking these girls home.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie saw that Lana was quick on the uptake when it came to getting the stretchers readied up, and soon enough she had one of the weaker girls whose legs were in pretty bad shape, up on her back, on one stretcher, while also helping to carry another stretcher. She appeared to be immensely strong, though if she was stronger than Tina, remained to be seen.

Heading on to the next and last village in their list, Kylie found that they hadn't gotten the girls all ready like last time, and seemed to have not gotten a runner through the night either. The girls here didn't look in the greatest shape, but they didn't look as downtrodden as they probably could have been either. All told, Kylie could see outside, about twenty, maybe more, it was hard to tell really, what with all the houses and whatnot.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

No one was ready at this village, it was also unusually quiet. As if they had no idea. She strode forward, tired, short tempered, impatient, and rather then make a declaration, she simply walked into the village, reached out, and her arm became black metal frame and blue fire, only her gauntlet remained as her leather peeled away from her right arm. The currents around her boiled and seethed as what was Kylie was exposed in part to the currents of the island without the buffer that was her body, reacting, pulsing, writhing, twisting, angrily howling around her in a vicious blaze of magic that her arm seemed to feed on, the cold radiating from those flames enough to frost anything within 20 feet of her lightly. Kalt was right there behind her eyes, glowing a hateful blue and she came to stand in the center of the village, because anyone who got within 5 feet of her would collapse, overwhelmed with horrors and nightmares that they could barely imagine, tortures that were beyond the will of anyone to survive. That flame on her arm burned like a beacon of physical loathing that called out to every dark thing on this island as a twisting pillar to those with the sight to see it, that something dark and violent and full of despair walked this land in the sea, this tear of the goddess of the sea.

And she opened her mouth, and she didn't speak, she tilted her head back, and roared, the sound of a great beast tearing from her chest like a cry from the Void. It had no words. It held only one Message that even a beast could understand, and that message was simple. I am the Alpha here. Run away little beasts.... Run away.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

As Kylie strode into the village, she saw minotaur and slave alike running from her as fast as they could, some tripping over their own feet in their haste to run. In one case, she saw one of the human slave girls take two or three steps back, before turning to run, where she slammed face first into the wall of one of the houses. Another case, a young minotaur tripped over a tree root and landed on his arm, where Kylie could easily hear the cracking of bones.

Even some of the girls that had been with Kylie, that saw her in the distance, backed away a bit with fright. Regardless of what she wanted, Kylie had their attention now, for certain.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

The slaves couldn't run, chained, collared, pinned to the ground, tied off to leashes, but the minotaurs who didn't knock themselves out fled. And once they were gone, she sighed the power away, let it wisp free of her without a thought, and motioned for the other girls to help the slaves, for Sheena to take the lead with nog. She was tired. She was so tired right now.

But she stumbled forward to the girl who'd hurt her face, and swept her into her arms and cradled her in her lap, rocking back and forth muttering softly, a lullaby, the same one she sang her own girls. She held onto that girl and sang a little louder. But she didn't have Giselle's voice.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Some of the slaves were able to run a little ways, but as tired as some of them were, they didn't make it far before collapsing to their knees, which gave Sheena and the others a chance to catch them before they were too far away. The one that Kylie went to help up was holding her nose, which thankfully didn't look broken, but it was bleeding a bit from the looks of it, but nothing holding a cloth against it wouldn't fix. The girl though was still quite frightened by Kylie, despite her no longer looking as menacing as before, and looked like she wanted to crawl away as fast as she could and slide into a hole somewhere to hide from her.

"W-What do you w-want with me?" the girl asked, her eyes wide with fear.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

To take you home. To set you free.... I've been to every village, walked the whole way... haven't slept in days.... Just.... didn't have the energy to keep shouting anymore.... Didn't mean to scare you. I'm sorry. I am, I'm Kylie, from Feynrial. Look she said, pointing to the giant Mass of freed slaves and all the women scurrying around to free the others, and gather the ones she'd frightened.

No more chains, no more slavery, no more rape or beatings... I'm going to take you home. I'm here, you're Free. she said, her face soft, her shoulders slumped, exhausted, burnt out.
